@chopchop25 I had a Spectra S2 and can confirm it is a closed system. I wouldn't hesitate to use one a friend gave me as long as I replaced the attachments. Nice score!
Thanks for the votes of confidence! Excited now to have this second pump!
On another note... I can't help but super hard eyeroll right now re: a post on another thread. That said, I doubt this one will stir up any heated debate.
Bump mobile is being so annoying right now, and anytime I click on a post to see the new replies, it’s not jumping to the new posts like it should, but is just jumping to a seemingly random post. Makes it so frustrating to try and keep up!
Stress. We just found out from a co-worker that the daycare we loved is being investigated. My other co-worker thinks this guy may just be a bit too reactive, but of course now I have to go investigate. I'm freaking out we're not going to find another good day care with so little time.
So, I saw this earlier and it made me think of some of the discussions around names, spellings, and nicknames.
Granted, Jim is a very common name and standard spelling, but they didn’t go with the more formal James. I thought it was an interesting choice, and wondered if Jim is more trustworthy than James, or makes the scary process of renting formalwear less scary?
I’m getting an annoying pregnancy rash on my legs again this time around. Last time it drove me INSANE!! I will be calling the derm tomorrow. Of course bc our last baby was a girl now I think this one is too bc of the silly rash.
Is anybody else having issues with the mobile site? It keeps jumping around and not loading and it’s making it really hard to do anything! I’ve been having issues for the last few days and feel like I’m missing so much of that’s going on right now!
@sammierose464 it was me! And yes gliders and rocking chairs please(: @knottieamusements I think JimsFormalWear flows better then JamesFormalWear because in my head I say James's and it sounds weird.
@knottieamusements Maybe his name really is just Jim and not James? DS’s name is kind of like that. We just officially named him the shorter nickname because it’s what we knew we’d call him. I have a friend that’s just Brad. Not Bradley, just Brad.
Or Jim fit the logo better? Domain name wasn’t taken?
@sammierose464 can we make it a wider-scope 'bathtub' stuff? I'd love to know best washcloths, tub, preferred soaps and shampoos (do I need the expensive stuff?), etc
Found a second daycare with an opening - has great reviews and the woman on the phone was wonderful. I'm always nervous that there's space when everyone else seems to have a wait, but we're going to check it out tomorrow. I may just splurge and put the deposit down there, too - the extra money isn't laying around but is worth lowering my stress level.
edit: sorry if you already did that first, I was still reading this thread before going back to check on the rest!
Why am I seeing Smith & Wesson ads on the bump? I’m kinda surprised the cookies around here aren’t smarter. Every other internet thing that has ads knows me well enough to know I’m well insulated in my happy little MA liberal bubble. Gun ads are just not a thing I literally ever see. I did a wicked double take.
I just felt the biggest movement yet - I actually could follow her moving across my belly... and then I heard the gurgling. Yep, just got super excited about feeling a gas bubble from the outside.
DS (17 months) was sick this weekend so he was sleeping on my belly. Little brother kicked him pretty good and he grumbled and shifted around in his sleep. They’re already picking on each other.
Trying to catch up and I know I'm late to the game, but re that name thread: I don't put any stock at all into whether my child is going to have to spell their name growing up. I have a very short, incredibly common, top 100 when I was born name, and I spell it every time I give someone my name because there are 2 other official spellings for it. It's never bothered me and I already have to spell my last name anyway. DD is Hazel and people still ask me to spell it when filling out forms. To me, whether the kid is going to have to spell their name for people is a non-issue, and the least of my worries as a parent. IMO, Jaxson is not that far off base from the original and is easily recognized as the name that it's meant to be. It definitely isn't worthy of the flaming it got in that thread and the one poster went WAY too far with their comment saying they hoped the poster's baby was a girl "for the child's sake".
Ladybug - April 2013 Dandelion - October 2018 Angel "Aurora" - July 2020 Angel "Sawyer" - May 2021 Angel "Maxine" - January 2022 Angel "Violet" - March 2022 Baby Dove due March 2023
Also just catching up. The last two days have been gratifying but exhausting at work.
Going back a few days- also I agree that it’s worthwhile to go to an estate planning lawyer. But if you don’t have time or money to do that you should still on your own put your intentions in writing and sign them and even bother to get it notarized if you can. Not legal advice just basic opinion that I think a lot of people put it off because finding a lawyer etc is hard, so it’s good to have a sort of a back up in the meantime.
otherwise I’ve given up on sleeping. Body pillow doesn’t help and neither does multiple pillows. A few of you were raving about the U shaped pillow so I’m going to try that next.

I didn’t see those ads but I’d certainly have the same wtf response if I did!
I feel more exhausted as the days go by and I just feel like I can't keep up! Don't demote me to lurker please! Lol. But for real, I feel like I cruise more than interact these days. And I'm really dragging today. Counseling was emotional yesterday and it just drained me. Of course I won't see H for more than a minute tonight to recharge. Ugh

Hugs! I feel you and I'm im the same boat. I think I'm the drive-by lurker though. I just havent had a lot of time to post. Especially when i had to take some time off of work a few weeks ago.
@lest12 - While I’m still oblivious, I’m pretty sure you aren’t the drive-by lurker...
You may not post as often as some of us, but I know who you are. That isn’t true of one of the other posters on that thread, and her tone acted very familiar.
@krzyriver it’s hard to have the energy to keep up all the time, so post whenever you want but no pressure! I feel the same way sometimes. We know you’re here though!
@jemmerjams ugh I can’t escape the name changing ads! They’re everywhere on the bump for me!

Thank you @knottieamusements I was giving myself a bit of a complex, hoping that I wasn't too overbearing, lol.
On that note I hope to post more. I was super active in my group with DS and I've been missing that with this pregnancy. Hope you all don't mind if I jump in more.
@lest12 You're definitely not the drive by lurker! Life gets crazy sometimes. I'm trying to make more of an effort, but sometimes I'm just too tired to think of a response. Lol

DS1 had no interest in sitting still long enough to feel anything.
