Re: All Things Random (Week of 3/26)

  • We are going to my parents house or Passover and I felt like getting dressed up a little bit, I came downstairs and my DH (D does not stand for dear here) gave me a look of disgust and said are you wearing that like it would kill him to make me feel like I don’t look like a beached whale. Needless to say I changed into an all black dress. Someone is getting the cold shoulder the rest of the night

  • Is Clearly Canadian (beverage) back in production? I saw a pic online of someone drinking it saying they picked it up from a liquor store. Is this some sick joke or is this sweet, sweet, nectar back on shelves?!

  • Finally finishing up the Seder and we decided to stay the night at my ILs. My husband's family is so loud- so much unnecessary screaming and yelling. It's almost midnight and the kids are all riled up, so my niece is throwing a mega-tantrum (which personally I think she's a little old to be throwing a tantrum like this). I've already made an executive decision that with an 8 month old next year, we will not be attending.

I feel so bad for people who either just had their shower or still have lots of gift cards to use up. Now that the website is gone, they will be forced to spend their gift cards from brick and mortar stores that are so ravaged and picked over, not to mention liquidation pricing not effecting staples like diapers and wipes. So basically paying full price for those items when before they went bankrupt you'd get better deals on those staple items then you will now. Crazy.

Yes this is true. They were on sale last year at cost plus stores. I went to a Texas to visit friends for Thanksgiving and we went to Cost Plus just to buy them. I packaged them up and bought them back on the plan with me. I have one left that I have been saving because who knows when I will get more. I am not sure if Cost Plus till has them but at the time they were the only carrier. They are definitely Nostalgia for me.
  • I just checked, they still have them on their website but they are in store purchase only.

  • Ugh this is why I didn't want to stay with my in-laws- one bathroom for six adults and six kids. And none of the adults are thinking that maybe the pregnant one needs to get in there.

I read the other day that Buy Buy Baby will accept Babies R US gift cards and convert them to BBB ones.  That's probably a better option.  Not sure how legit that report is, I don't have a registry this time (other than a personal one on amazon) as this is my third kid.
