May has posted birth announcements thread in preparation for their LO's. That means we're roughly a month away from that move. Hoping everyone cooks until the end but, it's just another reminder of how close things are getting!
@may14th2011 nice! I love thrift store finds also. its been a long time since I'm dug through one, but I need to. annnd excited for the JBF sales coming up next month here!
baby costumes are a-maz-ing. I have no ideas yet. but I'm sure it'll have to coordinate with DS, so we'll have to wait and see.
ugh, my weekend just took a turn for the worse. I took DS for an EKG this week, just routine so we could trial run some ADHD meds this weekend before trialing them in school next week. Nope, get a call he needs an outpt cardiac eval cause there might be an abnormality. I'll take him tues afternoon for that. mom-ing is hard guys.

@stephcat421 I keep thinking about how we’re basically next to have birth stories because April and may have seemed to move to Fb or private groups and are ghost towns. it’s exciting and terrifying.
Can we find something to bet on? Obv who delivers first might be a bit morbid. Maybe who goes last...? Is that terrible too?
I have already been thinking about Halloween costumes too! Although I know its very popular and not creative, there's something irresistible to me about a tiny baby Wonder Woman. i.e. Girl power!
Today I did ten loads of laundry (like actually ten), scrubbed the kitchen, scrubbed the bathroom, vacuumed, mopped, dusted and now I’m so tired and sore I could die lol. But I still need to put the sheets and duvet covers back on both beds! Wahhhh DH is home now trying to help me, but he also has to get a work assignment out before we leave in 45 min to get my mom, and I have to make dinner lol. Maybe I can just get my mom to put the sheets/duvet covers on? But it’s still mostly a two person job with the cal king bed bc DH is allergic to down so the comforters are synthetic and heavy AF. Sigh...
@doxiemoxie212 have you ever tried the rolling technique with a duvet? I can do that by myself with a little switching from side to side to roll/unroll it. https://youtu.be/uH4VhFGCH7A

@krashke it’s on my list of things to try lol. But I can’t even put the sheets on the bed myself these days. Mostly bc of how the bed is positioned against the wall.
@catlady1215 good vibes heading your way! Hopefully everything turns out just fine.
@krashke omg that is life changing!! I hate putting the duvet on so much I hardly ever wash it.
I might be a little quiet this weekend since I'm in Maryland for my shower. Hopefully it goes well tomorrow but I'm already done with my sister. We're not very close and it's just so awkward. Especially since we're both pregnant (she's 2 months behind me) but could not be more different about pregnancy/parenting. I just wish I could fast forward to my flight home on Monday. Also I called my dad just to let him know I'm in town in case he wanted to see me and he said no. So there's that too. Honestly I know it's early, but I'm crawling into bed because the more I sleep, the faster this weekend will go.

So today i reached the 20 lbs mark. I’m torn between being sad Ive already gained 20 lbs (which was the most i wanted to gain) or being happy bc I don’t like the way I look so I’m happy there’s a reason. I literally look like I’ve gained 20 lbs.
Thanks for all the support. Family time is always hard for me. There's definitely a reason I put a continent between myself and my family. The shower ended up going really well and two of my good friends from high school came and it was great catching up with them. Are we gonna do a shower thread? I'd love to see pictures from everyone's showers!

Also would love to see a shower thread. As a STM I won't be having a shower this time (or a sprinkle) so I'm going to have to live vicariously through all of your showers (it's way more enjoyable this way- but I don't get any of the free baby stuff).
Also won't be having a shower; my family and DH's family are too spread (west coast, Europe, New Zealand, Japan) and most of my friends live in England. SIL wanted to do one for me but it would probably be like three or four people, so it didn't make any sense.
@silvergreen I'm in the same boat as you but my mom insisted because I never do any of the traditional stuff i.e. never had a bridal shower, bachelorette party etc. I didn't even go to my graduation lol. So I'm expecting maybe 8 people but it'll be a nice little get together at her house.
@amphibious22 - hopefully you pulled through the weekend/family drama ok! Family can be stressful.
+whatever to the shower thread! I'm not having one but would love to see pics.
To everyone about weight- it is so easy to get caught up in the number but please try not to! Everyone is different, pregnancy is crazy, and our bodies know what we need.
@doxiemoxie212 - I did a lot of cleaning this weekend too, but not nearly as much as you did and I am feeling it. You have got to be sore.
