I’m out AF arrived today. I had a slim glimmer of hope that maybe we would get KU before AF arrived after MC but she arrived 2 weeks exactly after O so I’m hoping that my body returns to some normalcy. Will contact RE to get meds started
I'm sorry @Mack2342. I hate AF for so many reasons. How disappointing. I know this doesn't help but maybe it's a good sign your body is getting back on track that AF came exactly two weeks later? I know it doesn't help but it might make this next month easier for tracking purposes?? Idk It still sucks no matter what. I only mention it because my last cycle was 36 days. Even with opks it was harder to plan.
@galactickates thanks. It’s bittersweet. I’m a little disappointed but I didn’t really think it would happen that quickly. I am glad that it arrived 2 weeks after O though. This is first AF after MC and I’m looking forward to getting this medicated cycle started again!
I’m out too. AF started on Tuesday. It’s so irritating that early pregnancy symptoms are the same as period symptoms. I really thought this might be our month. Ugh. Good luck to the rest of you ladies!!
*lurking from WTO, but hopefully will be over here soon* @cassafrass15 it's interesting that your dr said something about that - for you and @offtoneverlandthere was a small scale study published in 2012 where the researchers studied the endometrial cells of women with RPL (in the study I believe it was 5 or more losses), and found that compared to women who had only had successful pregnancies, the RPL women were "more fertile". The RPL women's endometrial cells would try to implant with any embryo, no matter how healthy or unhealthy the embryo, whereas the cells from women with only successful pregnancies discriminated and only would try to implant with the healthy embryos. (The headlines summarizing the article called it "super-fertility"). Not every RPL sufferer has this, some women unfortunately both have losses AND have IF, but personally I think I have a particularly slutty uterus. eta study link: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0041424
@zamora_spin Thank you for posting that link! I knew I read something about indiscriminate uteruses somewhere...it’s interesting that my RE mentioned it, too, but it makes since, after two years of IF *TW* I haven’t had much trouble getting KU in the last year, but none have lasted longer than 7wks. *End TW*
@dpjennifer I’m totally down to demand better coverage from the feds. Let’s just hope we don’t get shut down tomorrow...
@wlynnscott06 Welcome and I’m sorry for your loss. I’ve heard just about every old wives tale about fertility and so far none of them have proven true for me. But, I guess they do apply to some people so I can’t discredit them all.
AFM, I have my 7dpo progesterone check tomorrow. Fingers crossed it’s a good number (which my RE considers anything >10). And then I’m down to one long week left in the dreaded TWW.
@zamora_spin lol at "particularly slutty uterus." I love all of the research you do on legit scientific studies. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I thought I knew a lot about how conception worked from TCOYF but there is still so much to learn. @Mack2342@kms1216 I'm sorry for AF. Treat yourselves nicely...wine? chocolate? @cassafrass15 Good luck with the progesterone test! I'm about 7dpo as well (not temping this cycle so unsure of exact date, plus I'm trying my hardest not to look at FF right now for fear of getting obsessed). Just a couple more days until the ended of the awful TWW for the both of us!
@zamora_spin I read that article the last time you posted it and I'm quite interested in trying to find out more info about this. Have you found any more information in regards to super fertility? How does one get their floozy of a uterus to discrimate more?
@40momma I haven't found recommendations of what to do based on that study, but my personal approach is to work as much as possible on my egg quality and I also have DH on a multivitamin and CoQ10. I figure the best thing we can do is to try to make our embryos better quality.
I've been feeling better emotionally the last couple days. Ever since the RE consult I've had a lot on my brain mainly worried about making a wrong decision which whatever we choose. Well this is something I can't control so I'm trying my best to start slowly letting go of some fears and keep an open mind. Also decided to stop researching on google which has helped immensely.
Last night I realized if we want to have a baby on our current insurance plan we have this current cycle plus 2 others to make it happen but oddly enough that stuff doesn't stress me anymore. It either will or will not happen whenever it's supposed to happen.
@zamora_spin Your approach to indiscriminate uterus issues sounds like a great idea. I’ve been taking ubiquinol, but I haven’t been making DH take anything. Think I’ll load him up just to be safe! FX for better embryos in the future.
@offtoneverland So are we going to work on Monday, or nah? I mean, I’d like a vacation but I’d rather it be a paid vacation...hope your TWW is going smoothly!
@vlagrl29 So glad to hear that you’re in a good place. Sometimes I have to remind myself to just breathe - and remember I have so little control over this whole mess.
AFM, 7dpo progesterone was great at 27ng/ml. I’ve been having some weird but mild cramping and very light spotting and I’m not sure what to make of that. I tested out my trigger and so now of course I’ll be POAS nonstop until AF arrives!
@40momma Sorry about AF, but did you have a nice stay in Cabo? Sounds wonderful! @cassafrass15 I know, right? With the last shutdown, we ended up getting paid afterward, so I wouldn't necessarily mind a few days off as long as we get paid! But I know it's no guarantee. I just hate that they keep yanking us around and every month now we have to worry if we're going to go to work/get paid. That's great about the progesterone results! Hopefully the rest of the TWW doesn't take forever.
cassafrass15 and offtoneverland Ya know, I wish they'd either pass a freaking budget or shut it down. I'm sick of the Continuing Resolutions and being yanked around. Either shut it down so I can get all these projects around the house done that I'd like to do, or pass the budget and stop teasing me about time off! LOL. Historically, we've always been paid back. It's no guarantee, but that's nice. And, don't forget if we do shut down to sign up for unemployment ASAP. IF we get paid back, you just pay the unemployment back. If we don't get paid back, at least you get something while off. Apparently the bill that passed the house yesterday is scheduled to be voted on at 10pm.... cause you know, nothing like waiting for the last minute. Although I think it's a 4-week stop gap CR again, not an actual budget. Le Sigh.

cassafrass15 Ugh. Now they're talking about likely shutdown, but maybe reach a deal by the end of the weekend so it could be over before we go to work Monday morning. Boo....

@cassafrass15, @offtoneverland and @dpjennifer of government gets shutdown I still have to work. I’m considered essential services so no time off for me. We were told that we have enough money for us to get paid for 3 weeks and then I would work for free basically until resolved. I would rather have time off lol
@Mack2342 That's too bad you'd still have to go to work. Some people in my office were designated essential and I'm so glad I'm not one of them! I would much rather stay home too. @cassafrass15 I'm really hoping for at least a day or two off but I'm assuming they'll get it all figured out at 11:58pm on Sunday.
@Mack2342 Bummer you have to work during a shut-down. A few of the attorneys in my office were exempt, so they’d have to work, too. I’ve never been so grateful to be designated non-essential. But like @offtoneverland said, they’ll probably figure it all out at the very last minute Sunday night so hopefully you won’t have to work for free!
Well ladies I think I’m out this month: I started really light spotting yesterday with mild cramping for the last couple of days, and today the spotting is definitely worse. It’s exactly the type of spotting I get leading up to AF every month. My BBT hasn’t dropped yet, but I think it will by tomorrow morning. I’m only 8dpo, and I’ve never had this short of a LP on a medicated cycle, so that’s troubling. I’m pretty crushed. Ugh.

Thanks @coco2787. I know it’s not over until AF arrives, but at this point I know my body pretty well so I’m being realistic.
@vlagrl29 I’m on Clomid CD 3-7, with HCG trigger CD 12. I have responded really well to Clomid the past few cycles and this is the first time I’ve had a short LP on it. First time for everything though, right? Blah!
@cassafrass15 - still sucks though! I'm thinking clomid days 5-9. The earlier you take it does it make you O earlier than normal? I'd also thought about the soy iso which is a natural form of clomid but I was never sure what it would do to my cycles.
@vlagrl29 I actually ovulate right on time (CD13-14) with Clomid, and it’s even easier to pinpoint with the trigger shot. I’m leery of hormone therapy that’s not done at the direction and supervision of a Dr so I have steered clear of soy iso.
AFM, 9dpo and still spotting but no sign of AF. The spotting is really light, and an odd color, so I don’t know what the hell is going on. AF is officially due Friday, so we shall see.
@cassafrass15 same here regarding the soy. I didn't want to mess with it. I'll be starting clomid in about a week. What are your side effects. I've heard hot flashes and headaches.
My boobs have officially started hurting. This has happened the last few months. After the loss the boob pain went away for many months.
@vlagrl29 I actually haven’t had many side effects on the clomid. I’ve taken it about 4 cycles (with breaks for lap surgery and 2 MCs), and I think my main side effects have been moodiness and maybe two migraines. I’ve also experienced ovulation pains when I never had before. But really, I haven’t had anything major happen. I know everyone is different though! Good luck to you!
vlagrl29 Yeah,
they haven’t passed a budget on time in what, 10 years? It’s super frustrating
to go from Continuing Resolution to Continuing Resolution. Super annoying that
the things they’ve been trying to vote on the past few days haven’t been a real
budget either… they want to vote on and reopen the government by passing
ANOTHER Continuing Resolution.

AFM, based on my O date this cycle, if I got ku my EDD would be 10/12/18, which is one year to the day from when I had my first positive HPT/and bw (because we were at the RE's anyway) for my third pregnancy. So. I'm totes ktfu, right? eta, words
I've been having light cramping today so it's totes implantation cramping, right? And I'm a little light headed today, but there is no way that it's because I stayed up until 1am with a friend then woke up a few hours later to go to work, right? Why do I do this to myself?!
@zamora_spin and @acciocoffee If I get ku this month it would be extremely inconvenient for my workplace and I’d miss out on some valuable professional development! I felt nauseous and cranky this morning, nothing to do with it being Monday and not eating breakfast.
I talk to DH about feeling like I’m on a treadmill or roller coaster each month. At least you ladies understand (although I wish we didn’t )
Broke down and took a cheapie test this afternoon because apparently I lack self-control today. BFN. It’s a bit early, and it wasn’t fmu, but I guess I’ve reset my hopes for this month a little. I just want one kid, I could be happy with one.
How are you all holding up? I always vow to think less about the tww and then catch myself staring at my chart/looking at charts like mine, even though I know my beautiful charts mean NOTHING.
@zamora_spin I think I have officially lost my mind. It's been a few months since I've had a TWW so I think I forgot how bad it can be. I keep googling symptoms and the the internet keeps telling me to calm the f down.
Me: I'm cramping and I have warm feeling in my uterus. Maybe it's a baby! Reality: The cramping is because you have lady parts and they like to cause pain and that warm feeling is those jalapeno poppers you ate for dinner last night burning their way through your intestines. Good luck with that!
I started watching a new show a couple days ago so I think I need to get more invested in that to take my mind off of it all.
