@Katm89 Were you perhaps aiming for the WTF Wednesday thread with this one? I think at one point today they were right next to each other in the list and maybe that’s how you ended up here?

I did not draw the correlation between the gender reassignment and circumcision... its in the script( in a conversation between the Moclan crew member and the human doctor).
sorry ya'll found this inappropriate. I just normally check in to this thread over the other ones.
@Katm89 I started this thread so we could discuss our rainbow babies and losses. Not to discuss shows we are watching. I don’t want this thread getting shut down because it’s not staying on topic.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
I’m so upset. At 5 weeks and 1 day, my progesterone level was 4.8 and my HCG was 80..... I’m seriously so concerned now. It’s really not fair. I don’t know why I cannot catch a break. I’m going back today for the 48 hour retest
@tgortney I'm sorry for all the stress you're going through. Sending happy thoughts that all will be good and happy on your retest!
P.S. Mine at over 5 weeks was on the low end, in the 90's, and my doc was completely content with the levels after the 48 hour increase. Don't give up hope quite yet! HCG tests make us stress so much, but the ranges are so broad!
@tgortney I hope the retest goes well! There are some foods you can eat that help boost progesterone. I think one of them is sweet potato if you want an excuse to chow down on some sweet potato pie. Will your doctor prescribe progesterone? ( I'm sorry if you are on it already and I missed it).
Ladies, I am cold all the time and I read that it could be a thyroid issue and could cause miscarriage... when they did the blood test for HCG do they check thyroid levels? Am I totally blowing this out of proportion? DH thinks I'm crazy.
@tgortney so sorry to hear about this stress. hoping for great news from you later today!
My midwife just called and said my hcg level from Wednesday (4 weeks 3 days) was only 29, which she said was low but still in a normal range. Just twiddling my thumbs while I wait to get retested tomorrow. I was definitely not this anxious with DS—just blissfully ignorant of how many worries there were.
@Katm89 Half the ladies on the symptoms thread are freezing, including me. You're probably fine. I've never heard of someone's thyroid spontaneously going out of whack because of pregnancy. If your thyroid was fine before it's probably fine now. Back away from the WebMD.
@Katm89 I’m also freezing - I didn’t even realize until jumped on my weather app last night to check the weather for today (to pick clothing) that the high in Downtown LA was 82 yesterday (and it’s 80 today). My office is often over air-conditioned, but I was cold walking around at lunch!
ETA: I’ve just started drinking hot water throughout the day.
ETA2: @tgortney I’m sorry to hear that - Thinking of you and crossing my fingers for better news!

@katm89 If you didn't have a thyroid issue before getting pregnant, then you probably wouldn't get one during. Your thyroid can get out of whack after birth though. I've had hypothyroidism for years before getting pregnant and my medication dose never changed until I had my DD. Then I needed the dose changed again after my MC a few months ago. You could always ask for a thyroid test just to be on the safe side, but it usually takes a few weeks for thyroid medication to kick in.
Have had a rough couple of days. Went from feeling so sick and tired to absolutely fine Tuesday and Wednesday, which has made me worry like crazy. Ive had 2 losses this year, at 8 weeks 6 days and 9 weeks 3 days and I’ve been trying my best to not be anxious all the time but it’s getting the best of me. Yesterday my lower back was killing me all day and I started having cramps in the evening. Cue multiple bathroom trips to make sure I’m not bleeding. Turns out the cramps were just gas pain (yay) but I had myself convinced it was the beginning of the end. Today I’m back to feeling extremely nauseaous and fatigued. I want to enjoy my pregnancy but the constant worry is overwhelming..

I'm with you on the constant worry. I probably go to the bathroom every 2 hours.... Not because I have to but because I'm sure I'm bleeding... first tri is a mind f.
Oh my gosh, I'm totally there with you @karasmile. A few days ago the cramps and paranoia hit so hard I was up the whole night alternately making trips to the bathroom and sobbing. Everything is fine so far, though, and I just hope it stays that way for all of us. Here's to hanging in there through this first trimester, because @KatyF0813 nailed it, it's a total mind f*ck.
Anyone else (on Endometrin) spotting (pink/peach)? I’m only 4w6d and I get an early u/s on Tuesday, but the wait just got a bit longer this morning. I’m on Endometrin and get that it and the applicators can be irritating (at least according to google), but the last time I saw spotting and I was pregnant, it was at 11 and a half weeks and didn’t end well two days later. I know there’s not much to be done (I emailed my IVF nurse who assured me it could be normal), but it is messing with my PGAL head a little bit.

@artemis618 I'm not on that, but I wanted to send you a hug. I have no advice, but I have hope and prayers that everything is fine. Darn that PGAL brain!
In relation to the discussion of the thyroid issue @Katm89, I don't think you are likely to develop a thyroid problem due to pregnancy. But if you had a pre-existing one it can certainly impact your pregnancy. I found out that I had a pretty severe one after my son was born 5 years ago, and it makes me wonder about my 9 week loss that I had prior to him. If you are concerned, you could call your primary to have a TSH blood test done. But if you have had that done recently and you didn't have an issue, I would chalk your cold feeling up to a pregnancy symptom.

@katm89 good plan. If you already have blood work scheduled I'm sure they can add it easily. It might give you piece of mind if you haven't been screened before.

@KatyF0813 I am right there with you. And of course in an awful, self fulfilling prophecy, I had some bright red spotting this week so now I'm anxiously awaiting the results if my second beta. I've had spotting go both ways - first pregnancy it ended in a loss, second pregnancy it was a large SCH that eventually resolved. I am trying so hard to embrace the "today I am pregnant" mantra and enjoy it but pgal brain still has me checking for blood constantly.
@KatyFO813 I always look at the paper... always idk why I do it, but I always have to look. I have had alot of ewcm during these couple of weeks and when the tissue slides so smoothly my heart sinks and I think, okay this is it.
It's normal and I keep telling myself it goes away after you feel the baby move all the time. That constant reassurance is nice.
I’ve been lurking on this thread (last year I had two MCs, and this year I’ve had two chemicals), and I’m relieved to read your reassurances about feeling cold, which I also have been. My last TSH check a little over a month ago was normal, so I’m trying to chalk this up to a normal pregnancy thing.
@KatyF0813 I’m with you on the constant worry. When I feel good, I feel suspicious, but when I cramp a bit I worry, too. It’s too easy for a PGAL gal to worry!
@artemis618 I was on endometrin last pregnancy and took ot 3 times a day. My tablets were white though, but sometimes they made a thick white discharge a few hours after taking them, sorry if that's tmi..
As long as the blood isn't red, I wouldn't worry. For me, sex caused spotting, so we stopped it altogether for the rest of the pregnancy. Also the vaginal ultrasounds may cause spotting
I’m so sorry, @tgortney. Please take care of yourself.
Everyone, I’m nervous now too. I’m having light spotting, brown in color, and a little cramping. I am inserting progesterone caplets vaginally, and know that can irritate the cervix. But my second miscarriage was right around 7 weeks, and that’s what I’m supposed to be tomorrow. Will call the doctor’s office after dinner out with DH. Any other advice or experiences would be great to hear.
@sm05-2 I don't have any experience with progesterone but I spotted brown and cramped with DS, and all was well. As I'm sure you know, brown blood is old blood and the cervix is extra sensitive right now. I wouldn't worry too much unless it picks up or the cramps get worse. Fx everything is okay!
Thanks, @acunamatada. My fertility doc wants me to go in for an ultrasound in the morning to check that everything’s ok. My cramping hasn’t worsened, but it’s gotten steadier. I am trying to be optimistic, but it’s hard given my history. At least I will know tomorrow....
@sm05-2 I'm sure it's all fine, brown blood isn't bad and all that, but I'm glad you're going in for the peace of mind. Can't wait to hear that everything is normal!

idk why I do it, but I always have to look.
Any other advice or experiences would be great to hear.
hoping for good news.
