@ashtynmo I worked in a very loud plant while pregnant with DD. My doctor assured me I was fine. And one night of fireworks isn't anything to be worried about.
AFM, what have you done for restless legs? I already have it kind of bad and I know it's going to get worse. Help!
@jlemons-2 I had that with DS and this LO. it's the worst. Sometimes sleeping with a pillow * in between legs helps. When it's really bad, I take a Benadryl which is what OB recommended.
Hey ladies, sorry if this has been asked before, but what questions do you usually ask during your visits? I have a couple that I've written down to ask, but is there anything you each time?
@jlemons-2 I've had issues with RLS in the past. This might sound random, but taking a quick bath (even if it was late at night) helped me to be able to fall asleep. I haven't had issues lately, but if I did, that might be something I try. It sounds weird, but it helped me!

I realized yesterday that I have a new "symptom" -- homesickness. Or like a combo homesickness/restlessness. Thankfully my family is not far, but basically every morning when I wake up all I can think about is hopping in the car and driving to my hometown, or somewhere with similar emotional pull (my college town, for instance). Technically I could since I telecommute anyway-- but spending 4 hrs a day on the road is probably not a good idea
Not sure if it's a coincidence and it's just because it's "summer break" but I'm an adult now and there is no such thing anymore, or if it's something about being pregnant that is similar to the way you always want your mom when you are sick no matter how old you are... Is anyone else feeling the same way?
Has anyone gotten cramps from wearing too-tight clothing around the bump? I feel like I'm cramping more than usual today, but if I pull the bella band and my pants away from my hips/waist it calms down (FTM 17+6 here).
I might need to move on to maternity work clothes...
ETA - or maybe it's just normal prickly growth/stretching pains. I was starting to feel "due" for them because I hadn't had any severe ones in a few weeks.

@Tennis11785 I had them before pregnancy and cannot contain my dread at how much worse they are gonna get throughout this whole deal. I will say that Preparation H makes witch hazel wet wipes (and most stores have their own generic brand too) and those help a lot without the added horror of using a suppository.
@whiska I got that a lot with DS and a few times now. It actually ends up giving me a terrible stomach ache. To me it feels more like my organs and being squished than actual uterine cramping, so maybe it's not the same thing! And it happens even if my pants aren't super tight, but the waist band is sitting in one particularly annoying spot.
Well my insomnia is back. Last night DD slept like shit and I was so exhausted. Tonight she has slept like an angel and I've been up since 3:30. plus I'm at my mom's and her bed kills my back. And I'm having rlp. At least I'm not barfing.
I am 17 weeks today and have major exhaustion. I recently quit my job due to our impending move and I am just pooped. Also, Holy Leg Cramps Batman. I was so concerned I got them checked out for a possible DVT. I can tell my hormones are going crazy lately, either that or a growth spurt for baby. Its crazy how different everything is the second time around...maybe I am getting used to it, or its because we are having a boy this time instead of girl...who knows!
@whiska@jellybelly119 Yep ladies I'm in that same boat. I'm at 16+4 and was feeling some stomach discomfort for much of yesterday. Not really cramps, too high up for that, certainly not very comfortable, I think this weekend I'll wear the band I bought to see if it helps or makes that issue worse. Feeling some better today so I figured things are just growing fast at this point.
I have had vericose veins on one of my legs since childhood and never experienced any pain or discomfort from it until I woke up this morning. Burning pain in my leg that stops once I've been walking around for a while but hurts like crazy when I get up after sitting down. I know that a lot of women have trouble with them in pregnancy but I figured it was later on. Have any of you had this issue?
Hi All, Im 15 weeks today and feel so weak and exhausted. I thought this was supposed to go away by now? When is that burst of ensrgy going to come!! Im taking an iron tablet daily too.
Anyone else having butt/hip pain. I can't sit long on the ground with my daughter before I'm hurting and I have to slowly, manually turn my legs from cross legged position to avoid pain... sciatica or pelvic girdle pain? Ouch!!!
My resting heart rate has gone from 69Bpm to 80 Bpm in the past 2 weeks (up from about 63 pre pregnancy). I know resting heart rate goes up during pregnancy but this seems excessive to happen so quickly. Anyone else experiencing this?
@BC814 yup its because your sacrum (back of your pelvis) is more mobile due to relaxin. Try to sit up on your sits bones rather than back with your bum rolled under you! I get pain laying on my side while sleeping too and find putting a thick pillow between my knees helps!
@Marley629 No leg tingling for me, but I can relate with the heartburn. Ugh
I have had it pretty easy so far. Only threw up a grand total of 3 times (weeks ago!). My main thing was exhaustion back during the first tri but I seem to have all my energy back now.
The past 3 days though....HOLY HEARTBURN! Before being pregnant I had it maybe once in my life. Never knew how much it sucked! I finally went and bought some tums tonight but I took it like 30 min ago and nothing. UGH. My mom told me she had it really bad with me too, in her words she was a "fire breathing dragon". Basically how I'm feeling too..

@moonlady-2, Zantac works wonders for me. I get miserable heartburn every time I'm pregnant. In the past it has felt like terrible chest pain. This time it's manafesting itself as nausea.
@thatlauragirl thanks! That makes me feel a little better. It's up to 82 today. If it goes up more tomorrow I may call my doctor because I know it's normal for it to increase but I feel like it's going up really fast and it's making me nervous.
Anyone else already having trouble getting their rings off? I've always been able to take my wedding ring off easily, but lately it hasn't budged so I just took it off with soap. I think I'm just going to get a silicone band and be done with it for now because I'm paranoid if I wear it too long I'll have to have it cut off!
@MJDsquared That's been happening to me more often now too! It seems like it got a lot worse when the sweltering summer heat really kicked in. It's always better after I rest a while or when I wake up in the morning, and worse if I've been busy moving around (out for a walk, shopping, etc.)-- I think it has something to do with blood flow?
@MJDsquared I went to a water park a few weeks ago and it was crazy hot; I had trouble taking my rings off that night and ended up just not wearing them for a few days because it was so uncomfortable for my finger, and that's how long it took the swelling to go down.
Re: fitbits - I turned my heart rate monitor off at 7 weeks because it was stressing me out. I was getting too obsessed about the fluctuations, which I read are totally normal. The plus side is it lasts like a whole week now!

On Saturday I had hoooorrible RLP when I scooted up to sitting in bed. Whenever I heard women talking about bracing themselves whenever they sneezed I was like, "But RLP isn't that bad and it goes away quickly!" Yeah, I just hadn't had it that bad yet. But the going away quickly thing is a plus.
Also I had super weird dreams all night/morning and I'm exhausted today because of it.
