Hey there! Let's start a new thread! Let me hear your symptoms, questions and concerns this week! I'm sure there is at least one other person who can commiserate.
Edited because mobile bumping sucks more than usual this week for whatever reason
My nausea is a lot better now. I still struggle with feeling tired. I get all motivated to be productive and get stuff done, and then I start losing steam and just want to go sit down lol. I have to pee constantly. Just looking forward to baby movements. Don't feel much yet, but I have an anterior placenta gain so I kinda expected that
17+5 and still throwing up daily. Headaches. Suuuper tender breasts (which didn't start for me until 2nd trimester). And I'm seriously struggling with this back pain. After pulling a muscle on Friday, I fell down the stairs last night. I just can't catch a break.
Oh no @vvitchhazel I hope you saw a doctor after falling down the stairs! That's some pretty significant trauma! I hope you and babe are okay! You might benefit from getting some physio on board too. Sounds like maybe your core muscles aren't supporting you appropriately leading to some pain and instability!
@vvitchhazel Bless your heart! Prayers and good vibes going your way. I agree that maybe PT or something like it could help. Hope you are able to relax a bit soon.
Ditto also that 2nd Tri is the One With All The Headaches. They seem to cause everything else to fall out of whack too. I tried to wean myself off of Diclegis last week and thought I was going to die. Not sure if it was maybe a med withdrawal/rebound side effect, or just a coincidence... I can't afford to refill those suckers!
@vvitchhazel I hope you feel better and catch a break soon! I can't imagine how tough it must be feeling like that for so long.
@elcd458 I've been having consistent headaches since the beginning of the 2nd tri. Some days are better than others. I really haven't found any magic relief, cold washcloths and rest seem to help a little.
Add me to the headaches crowd. I've found that cold helps a bit, so if I can't get a cold pack I at least find stick with very cold drinks for awhile. Things that helped with my pre-pregnancy migraines help a bit, too: lower light, a small amount of caffeine and, when all else fails, sleep and hope for the best.
I really hope we're able to get AC in before the August heat hits.
@vvitchhazel Ugh, sorry to hear about your struggles! I hope you & baby are feeling alright after the fall and that it didn't make the back pain even worse. Sounds like you need a serious break.
I'm definitely feeling you (and @elcd458, @kater622 & @kyrwyn) on the headaches, in the last week they've returned as a daily occurrence. I'm going to have to start trying more of the remedies you guys are talking about, drinking extra water hasn't been cutting it.
This afternoon/evening I've started to experience back pain. It's not so much pain as feeling sore/tired muscles. I'm wondering if I haven't been paying attention to my posture and that's part of it, or it's just pregnancy/changing center of gravity. Hopefully a night of rest will have it feeling better tomorrow.

Tmi but the amount of discharge is gross. I don't remember this with DS
vomiting has finally decreased to not every meal! Indigestion and heartburn suck and Zantac really isn't doing much. Milk helps a little. I'm drinking so much of it these days
@Marley629 I had the same issue with dd and am having it with this pregnancy too. I think I asked about it at every single prenatal appointment because it was driving me crazy and I was worried it wasnt normal. I had to wear a pad or panty liner for most of the pregnancy and I'm accepting that this time will be the same. It's so glamorous.
@vvitchhazel so sorry about your back. I hope all is okay after your fall.
Been over a week since I've thrown up! Hoping this trend continues. Other than that, I've def have had more energy. I'm with you @Marley629 I've had more discharge than normal as well.
So I haven't felt the baby move I think in over 24 hrs. I'm 17 1/2 weeks along. Does anyone think that is a concern ?? My husband thinks so but I'm kind of on the fence. I never felt the baby consistently from what I remember ( it's only been a few weeks since I started feeling baby ) but I don't know. Of course this happens on a long holiday weekend and I can't find my answer on google. Does anyone think this is early to be concerned with no movement ?
@pink flamingo my midwife said it's totally normal to be hit and miss until 24 weeks. She suggested I could go even a week without feeling movement and it would be fine. Though if you're concerned definitely call your doctor
@Tennis11785 I get that feeling sometimes and it's almost like I'm walking with my lower back arched in a little bit from maybe my belly pulling it? I don't know, I hope it lets up for you soon.
@Tennis11785 I get pretty severe lower back pain when I've been sitting at my work desk for long periods of time. I never had it before, and I don't experience it as much at home, so I'm thinking it's both pregnancy and posture combined. Super uncomfortable, and I feel like I look like a waddling penguin when I'm trying to walk it off. Haven't tried anything like compresses (since, again, work) but I might start trying if this continues to worsen as belly grows.
Agree with @kvacmak. I think the absolute earliest they expect consistent movement is 20 weeks. Unfortunately, that doesn't make it any less stressful!
I ordered a monitor that will be here unfortunetly by late next week . Hopefully it works. I had mixed reviews but a lot of reviews that were pretty decent
Round ligament pain, headaches, and still so exhausted!! Two weeks until we're driving 12 hrs down to Texas for vacation and I'm afraid of how terrible my body will feel after sitting in a car for that long..also how huge my feet are going to be..

Where in Texas will you be going?
hopefully your ride ride will go smoothly! Are you already getting swelling? I would say make sure you take frequent stops to stretch and move around (every 2 hours I think is recommended). Drink plenty of fluids and hopefully you can put your feet up on the dashboard to help with the swelling.
we've taken many 20+ hour trips to the east coast to visit family, so I feel your pain! We will be driving 12 hours when I'm 27 and 28 weeks for our vacation.
@djd0404@Tennis11785 I've been getting intermittent back pain for the last two weeks. I also think it's from sitting in my office chair too much. Three weeks ago we drove 3 hours home on Friday then 3 hours back on Sunday and my back hurt so bad afterward. One item on my to-do list was figuring out how to improve/adjust my posture through pregnancy (still haven't yet, whoops), both at work and in the car. And just regular walking around because I'm not looking forward to all that strain on my lower back from trying to balance out the bebe out front.

I'm in the headache club, too! I've been doing just one regular strength Tylenol in late morning, and it definitely seems to take the edge off. Nausea has been a lot better, thank goodness! (Knock on wood...every time I say that I get sick the next day!) Energy has been better, just need to be sure to take some breaks when actually being productive. And absolutely loving/taking advantage of/not feeling guilty for sleeping in! These are the days I'm grateful for being a teacher!
Add me to the headache club. And I've been trying SO hard not to take tylenol, too, since now my one safe haven with DS1's pregnancy has had a couple of studies released on possible harm that can cause. Ugh. Trying to up the water but I am just so full so easily.
@flowerpower5838 Would you mind sharing the article about Tylenol? After reading Emily Oster's Expecting Better, I thought I was in the clear for Tylenol!
@NME44. Thanks, I think we'll be making lots of stops this year! We're going to see my in-laws for a week they live near ft worth tx and we live up in Iowa. Hope your trip goes well!
@cait5413. Thanks good idea! I'll have to check them out.
@vvitchhazel Wow, you've had it bad lately. I hope you and the baby are doing well after the fall.
@Marley629 I'm glad you are keeping some food down.
I've had headaches here and there, but not everyday. The back pain has been awful the last few days partially because I did a lot of walking at the zoo. I definitely had Tylenol that day.
Random question... First time mom here (that's a scary thought!), Saturday afternoon I was sitting on the couch and my stomach honestly vibrated. Maybe vibrated isn't the word for it, but its the closest I can think to describe it (like a phone was in my stomach and vibrating). It was a bit surreal to be honest. It wasn't my stomach growling or gas, this was definitely something I had never felt before. I just froze and tried to feel if I could feel it on the outside of my stomach (no luck). Any ideas what this could be?
I used a power tool at 14w and then my husband googled it after the fact and panicked a little about the noise. Now it's the Fourth of July (16w) and he's nervous about the noise of fireworks because we set some off on our driveway last night. I looked it up online and asked my nurse friend... seems like everyone says it fine. Anyone heard differently?
@ashtynmo It's fine. I think it's always a good idea to be cautious, but your baby is extremely well-insulated in there. Amniotic fluid, tissue, skin-- the sound loses a lot of energy traveling through all that before it gets to baby!
@c_spili - I had something like that happen a couple weeks ago. But it would have been waaay to early for me to feel the baby yet. I just chalked it up to something in my head/being more aware of different feelings.

@vvitchhazel@elcd458 im also with yall on the headaches. it started yesterday. i tried claritin to see if it was sinus related and new allergens after my move and im going to try my mouth guard at night to see if im grinding my teeth again
I am with you all on the headaches. Tylenol has helped me. My nausea is still around. I wake up every morning and throw up like clockwork. I'm 15w+4 so still waiting for some nausea relief.
