Grrrrr, yesterday I decided to be brave and not take any MS meds, it went so well no nausea at all! Then I woke up this am and immediately needed to puke. So much for hey maybe I am turning the corner now that I am 11+2!
So much saliva in my mouth! I have to spit all te time. Lots of CM too. Yucky. Still feeling a little nauseous all day long unless I keep eating. hoping for only another week or so of this!
I've been sick with a sinus/ allergy funk this week on top of the continued vomitting. So much that the post nasal drip + barfing has made my throat bleed. I broke down at that point and did some sparing otc meds to avoid it developing into a sinus infection. But those made me barf more! Oh well. I think all the barfing and coughing have made my abs start to cramp up. Like, top two cans (if I had a six pack), between belly button and ribs. I woke up Thursday and Sat night in extreme pain. It was a constant cramp for 10-15 minutes (seemed like an hour). It made me whimper and writhe! I won't go so far as to say it felt like kidney stones or labor, since those are waves of pain and different, but I'd put it right behind them!! I was able to ice my abs to get it to calm down but have hurt all day. Doppler sounds good so I didn't call OB this Am. But I do see her this week (12 week labs, cfDNA test) and will bring it up. I'm ending week 11 tomorrow and hope this other will taper off soon. It's been super busy and stressful around home. I take. Are of my mother in addition to toddler, and hiding all this is hard. Plus just trucking through each day. I will be taking her for some pre-op visits this week for surgery after Mother's Day. So it'd be real nice not to barf at the doctors offices. I have also GOT to order my compression tights/ leggings. My ropey vericose veins are intensifying.
I have hardly been sick all week, but I've been laying down as soon as DD is in bed and falling asleep before my head hits the pillow. Apparently I've passed out mid sentence with SO twice this week. Oops!
Thanks, @TeacherMama7. I'm trying to go without extra meds tonight but not sure I can breathe well enough without help. I did take some already ok'd (albuterol, plain robitussin, Tylenol) to keep the cough down that is going crazy this afternoon (still sore). Dr Google also tells me that having a Charlie horse type cramp in the abs is not that unusual, so that made me feel better bc I think that's all it is. My bff (who's a physician but working out of state right now) also didn't seem alarmed when I told her what happened and agreed to ice my abs. im going to try my Doppler again after shower just for a quick check on babe, though.
PSA: Chinese food tastes exactly the same coming up as it does going down. Even hours later. Also it is very greasy which is more easily seen when contrasted with toilet water.
I unfortunately learned that though Mexican food comes up easily, almost effortlessly, too many tortilla chips making both trips can have a sand paper effect on the throat.
@bcashaw@deeerfauxm@kissthesky32 You guys literally just made me lol, FYI pepperoni pizza also tastes the same but has a REALLY bad texture coming back up. I also could go for some beef and broccoli now...
@emucoleman that is my favorite pregnancy symptom!! I just wish I could stay awake more nights to enjoy it lol can't wait for that second trip energy! @bcashaw I had a stomach flu for 4 days with my last pregnancy, literally the worst, lost a ton and felt terrible. I went to the hospital to get fluids on day 3 cause I was contracting harder and dehydrated (I was 23 weeks) but they really assured me that the baby always gets what they need first and really I was the only one suffering. When they checked on the baby he was under absolutely no stress. But staying well hydrated makes you feel better faster if you are able! Hoping today continues to get better for you!
