Re: Symptoms Thread 24/4

  • Lol at all this talk about sex and I came here just to say that today I have no energy and so I'm sitting in my car after getting home from work and absolutely dreading going up all those stairs to my 3rd floor apartment.

  • @angkay711 Ugh i hate stairs now
  • My sex life aside... I feel like I'm 8 weeks pregnant again. I am so sick today.

When I was pregnant with DS I would just sit in the car too tired to get out. And I didn't live on the third floor lol

Now I want to just sit in the car but I have to drag myself out, help DS wash hands, get him a snack and the iPad. And then I go sit for as long as he'll let me.

This exhaustion is unreal. I'm honestly starting to get nervous it won't lessen. I also still get horrible indigestion/gas/bloating. The constipation is better but not gone, so that's probably the main problem with the bloating.

I also just looked down and noticed that my hips are noticeably wider sitting in this chair. I sat up and wiggled around and debated, but I'm positive-- they're already wider.

PS sex everyday hahahaha never going to happen with how shitty and exhausted I am. I'd love to get back to 1-2x a week!

  • Glad to know Im not alone with the exhaustion.   I definitely did not factor pregnancy in when deciding to live on the 3rd floor.  Or I deluded myself in to thinking it couldn't possibly be this bad.

@ArtificialRed I was assured that I would have more energy at some point so here is hoping for both of us!
  • @alparodi @car1a I will second those stretches. I have a bum hip that I've had surgery on and it's definitely been more painful since pregnancy (I assume from ligaments stretching), I have been doing similar stretches and it does help.

  • Hahaha, all you ladies with the sex talk. I would love to have sex more often, if I weren't so nauseous and tired. I actually find when I'm pregnant that I have the best most amazing orgasms in the world. Anyone else? I have never heard of this as a pregnancy symptom...but I'm not complaining! Looking forward to 2nd tri when my energy returns...

  • @emucoleman same here, way too tired right now. I'm asleep before MH even comes to bed.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • Guys I'm actually getting worried. I have been SO sick today.  I had a smoothie, half a Cracker, a popsicle, and a baby size bowl of plain Cheerios.  So far the cheerios have lasted the longest as I ate them about 10 minutes ago. Everything else was thrown up along with a lot of bile.
My morning sickness was basically gone so I'm wondering if I caught the flu or something? I'm so screwed if my whole family gets this.
I am still peeing all the time so that means I'm not dehydrated right?
Other than the vomiting and nausea I'm just cold and tired... neither of those things are out of the ordinary though.
I'm praying I feel better tomorrow but do you think I should go to the hospital if I'm not? I'm worried about the baby. I'm 13 weeks.
  • Bought a doppler. Was able to find the heartbeat before but couldn't yesterday. Had bright red blood at work this morning but I was to attribute it to straining for a bm.  Coworkers had me call my midwife who said not to stress but coworker insisted on trying to pencil doppler. No luck with that.  So now I wait until my scheduled appointment on Tuesday. Maybe we suck at doppler on pregnant ladies and maybe I have a polyp again.
  • @bcashaw We're pretty much daily people, too!! Lol you're not alone!
  • @bcashaw Call your doctor! Best advice I can give right now (why am I still awake?). If you have a stomach bug, that is not the sort of thing that would hurt the baby normally. But...call your doctor :)

  • @bcashaw that was me yesterday, I told myself I'd call this morning if breakfast didn't stay and luckily it did. My nausea has been minor lately so it really caught me off guard. I'd put in a call tomorrow if you aren't better so you don't risk dehydration. Hope it passes soon!
  • I skipped the unisom last night for the first time.  I just want to see if I can go without it.  I've needed it until 15 weeks with one PG and 20 weeks with the other two.  I'm nervous today will be horrible.

  • @bcashaw I'd call your midwife to be sure, but I bet you and baby will be fine. Keep trying to drink water! All nutrients will go to baby first, before your body. I hope you feel better soon!
  • @MaximumEffort Igh, that sucks! Can you get in sooner so you don't have to worry? I like home Dopplers but they can be big worry causes if they don't work!
  • I was super busy yesterday so didn't have much time to post, but I drooled on my boss yesterday. Asking him something and using his computer to look at an account I drooled on him. I remember having more saliva than usual in my previous pregnancies but that's never happened for sure   :s
  • @ugoglencoco I'm sure this was awful for you, but I just lol'ed, I'm a terrible person. Lol
  • Question: I kind of posted about this a few days ago, but here it goes I'm 10w5d and for the past 4-5 days I have lost my symptoms. I'm no longer tired or nauseated. And I'm not vomiting anymore. The only real symptom I'm still having is that I'm still pretty hungry, but even that doesn't feel as bad. This never happened with my first 3 DS's. I kept feeling pretty tired and having heartburn with all 3 (I don't have heartburn this time around) and with DS3 my MS lasted forever. Regardless, my symptoms never just stopped.

*TW* this also didn't happen with my two miscarriages *TW*

its just so strange to me that my symptoms just stopped like someone hit a lightswitch. Has anyone else had this happen in any pregnancy?

Good luck!! I have one pill left in my current box and I'm debating if I should try to go without it after that or not risk it since it's still first trimester. I can't remember when I decided to stop using it last time.

  • @bcashaw I feel like I smell horrible too, I haven't been brave enough to ask anyone else about it. My tattoos have also been itchy and they are both old enough they shouldn't itchy. I use Burt's bees mama butter on my belly and breasts as well as my tattoos and it seems to REALLY help!  And I am mega impressed with the sex every day, I have trouble even functioning enough to go to work let alone have sex. Although DH seems to love it even more now, I thought for sure he would be the type to " not want to hurt the baby" but I think the expanding boobs are a positive for him. It's still pretty close to our sex life prior to ttc (1-2 a week).
  • @cmessamore thankfully we have been friends for 7 years so it wasn't too bad and we both got an awkward laugh out of it but drooling on anyone is always pretty embarrassing no matter what  :D lol!

As far as your symptoms, I feel like that happened pretty abruptly with ds2 for me although I only had very mild MS I feel like I woke up one day toward the end of first tri with him and just felt...normal? My exhaustion wad gone and i just felt back to myself. And then felt that way for most of the second tri.
  • @cmessamore That specifically hasn't happened to me...my nausea suddenly got way better about a week ago, but it's not totally gone and I still have my other symptoms. I know that that kind of thing can happen though. Sometimes symptoms come and go...it's kind of scary.  I'm just trying to enjoy my nausea-free life! Hah.

    Pregnancy Ticker

  • @cmessamore I remember feeling that light switch feeling with DS around 11-12 weeks. But I definitely understand how it would be worrisome.
  • Ok I was trying to control DS when he was throwing a tantrum and he just kicked me hard in the belly. And now it's really hurting. No major cramps but feels sore. I'm really worried. I am of course going to call my dr if it gets worse but it's just freaking me out. I hope we did not hurt the baby.
  • @cmessamore I am so happy for you! I'm glad you're feeling better and found baby's heartbeat. My kids love listening to the heartbeat and I feel like it really includes them in the pregnancy, especially while I'm not as present as I usually am, and there's no visible baby or kicking.
@ugoglencoco I'm sorry, I also let out a little snort. Glad you guys know eachother and it wasn't disastrous
@KLink15 I will try that cream. I keep meaning to buy some cream but not getting around to it. The itchy tattoo thing is so weird to me though. My oldest is 8 years old and my newest is about a year so none of them have a reason to be doing this.
@MaximumEffort FX everything is okay, that can be so so stressful.

I think I'm feeling a lot better today. I am a bit scared to get out of bed so I haven't.... but I don't think I am as sick as I was yesterday thank god!
  • @cmessamore so glad you were able to put your mind at ease!!

@ShePersisted DS jumped on my belly when I was on the couch and it HURT. Luckily no cramps or bleeding after but I was definitely worried. Hopefully it's just some sore muscles.
  • @TeacherMama7 I just wasn't into trying like night, real off night. I used my home doppler this morning and found the heart beat, always hiding behind my own.
  • You guys, I feel like I would feel so much better if I could just get back into exercising and cooking healthy food. But I'm JUST. TOO. TIRED. Come on second tri! Bring me all the energy!
    This. So much this.
  • Migraine. Not pregnancy symptom, just sad.

@cmessamore I am 11 weeks tomorrow, and the last 2 days have been such a positive symptom turnaround. Yesterday I actually went for a WALK. Not kidding, I haven't done anything except lie on the couch for 6 weeks. I can't believe I went for a 15 minute walk! Exhaustion and nausea are slowly going away, and appetite is returning. I'm hoping I'm one of the lucky ones that starts to feel better again at 11 weeks, and am not letting my brain run off with negative thoughts cos what's the point! I've got an ultrasound appointment tomorrow so staying positive :) so so so glad you found the heartbeat yay!

Anyone else growing some peach fuzz hair on their body? A few weeks back I thought I had more near my jawline, but DH couldn't see it. This week when showering I noticed undeniable light hair all over my belly! It's kind of cute, but I'm happy it's pale as can be so I'm the only one who can tell.

  • I'm making banana bread and my husband walked up to the oven and turned the oven light off without asking me and I want to stab him.  Safe to say I'm still a little moody.

  • Ugh these headaches.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @car1a I was talking to my friend about this the other day I have thick dark hair and I look my a frigging bear. My tummy is hairy I shave in the morning and I swear my armpits have hair again by the afternoon. I am amazed at how fast and how much of it is growing... praying it leaves when baby is born
  • @car1a The prenatal vitamins and hormones do cause hair and nails to grow faster. I'm Italian and my legs pretty much get a 5 o'clock shadow later in the day after shaving in the morning. I cut my nails and they're grown back within 3-4 days. Yes, it should go back to normal post-partum. In fact, many women complain that their hair falls out in clumps.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
