I have these new patches of dry skin on my right arm that seriously feel like lizard scales. Came out of nowhere!
With DS, I had a super dark linea nigra that felt scaly and rough. My OB said something about alligator skin. It was disgusting and I sooooo hope I don't have that this time. It seriously laughed at my cocoa butter like "Ha! You think you can get rid of me?!" It also took a few months to go away. Lots and lots of lotion
Mine isn't scaly and rough, but I have been pregnant or nursing since January 2012, and it hasn't gone away that whole time. Five-ish years:/ Do those of you have wear bikinis while pregnant have linea negra? That's what prevents me, mainly. Just curious.
@shepersisted step way from the computer. But seriously, if you're worried give you doc a call! I've been having a lot of headaches as well and I am just assuming it's because of all the hormones.
I am scared to say that I have what seems to be sacroiliac joint pain, or possibly pelvic girdle pain, something right by the sciatic nerve (lower back/upper butt on one side). The past two days it was noticeable but I thought it was age-related something, not pregnancy-related. Today it's undeniable - I even couldn't walk for 20min, bending down is really tough (mainly after standing and putting weight on the leg), I have to walk slowly and deliberately, and pretty much take stairs like a kindergartner one at a time. I'm not going to google anymore tonight, because I've been reading that depending on what it is, it could last the entire pregnancy (PGP looks particularly terrifying). I'm open to hearing if others have felt this - even if the story doesn't end with "it went away in a few days!" (though those stories would be welcome! I'm just not optimistic)
@car1a I tend to get awful sciatica when pregnant, for me, it usually doesn't happen until I'm further along. I think it has to do with how I sleep when pregnant plus the extra weight I gain.
whenever my DH and I have sex for a day or two after I have a lot of discharge and I just had some very stringy mucus discharge... kinda freaked me out but has anyone else had this... there was no blood or anything.
@car1a When I was pregnant with DD, I had a lot of hip pain that was affecting my mobility. I did various yoga hip stretches for about 3-4 days an noticed a lot of improvement. Pain eventually went away and I did intermittent stretches if I was getting twinges. Not sure if it would help you, but I think it's worth a try.
@ShePersisted the preeclampsia risk has definitely crossed my mind although we're pretty early in the game for it. I'm 90% mine is sinus related, but if it's not gonna by the morning I'm putting in a call.
I also haven't kept food down all day and only a little water, so I'm calling about that as well.
So many symptoms. Nauseous, tired, achy uterus... does anyone else have that? All day today it felt like it just hurt. Also, super emotional and crying a lot. Very gassy. Definitely worse than first tri with my son.
mariposa_767s Me too! I cried at Daniel tiger the other day!
I am just at 12 weeks now and am feeling so much better! It's been such a relief. More energy and oddly, I have less of an appetite than before. I had to eat something every 2 hours before otherwise I'd be throwing up. Today I actually went from breakfast to lunch without a snack! A miracle
@SRB130 I don't notice that, granted we have sex almost daily, I do feel like I smell really bad and I definitely have more discharge.... not sure if it's from the sex though. Note : I have been told by my best friend who has a normal sense of smell that I do not, in fact, reek as I feel I do
This is weird. My skin is a bit dry, but that's pretty normal but lately my tattoos are SO ITCHY . Just my tattoos. All of them. Anyone else have this?
@car1a I have been getting this off and on. It is normally when I am on my feet a lot during the day and in flat shoes. However, mine is more twinges of pain sporadically that get more frequent as the day goes on.
@cmessamore Yes I've been reading that it's more common later when the baby is heavier. At this stage it can be the big uterus affecting the nerve, or else it's joint-related. I haven't gained weight yet or changed activity level which makes it more odd to me @alparodi Thanks I'm going to give it a shot! Could help pinpoint what it is too depending on what makes it feel better/worse. @mrsrundmc that's similar to me early this week, now I can feel it with each step. I do walk/stand a lot at work and am constantly in flats - tile floors at school = no heels, no way! Trying to stay positive.
My husband surprised me with a Snoogle for our anniversary yesterday (I had been telling him that I wanted to get one at some point since I didn't with our first and really wish I had) and I just have to say I had the best sleep of my pregnancy last night. I had no idea it would make a difference this early. I might just use it for the rest of my life.
Silly me, I thought I could ignore having to pee in the MOTN. Nope, it just becomes the worst kind of stomachache and MAKES me get out of bed. Bless pregnancy pillows for making it easier to get back to sleep after. Mine really does make a lot of my nighttime stomachaches go away.
The constipation is unreal. I have awful gas for days then loose stool for maybe a day and then I'm back to being bound up again. Stupid zofran. I swear I think 75% of my blump is straight poop. Ugh.
@bcashaw I also feel like I smell horrible! I'm glad I'm not the only one. @DuchessOfCambridge When I wake up I usually don't even feel like I need to go. But if I don't then I can't go back to sleep.
Nov 17 BMB May Siggy Challenge: Mother's Day Fails
Woke up last night because of a thunder storm but then my body decided to throw up - then I couldn't get back to sleep. I also had gas pains so bad this morning that I could barely walk and it severely hurt if I touched my stomach - seems to have gone away for now.
Ok so I was feeling really good last few days and thought I'd be over the nausea storm. I'm almost 12 weeks and nausea hit me last night. It's not horrible and I'm not throwing up but I'm miserable with this motion sickness kind of feeling. When is it going to end. One more week to trimester 1.

Today my midwife recommended that my husband administer an enema. Ugh. He's seen me give birth but damn giving me an enema is just awkward for me and I'm very open with my bodily functions around him.
We aren't having P in the V sex every day, but we are doing *other things* most days because orgasms seem to help relieve my headaches. It's a trade off though because I always have (very minor) spotting after an orgasm and then I'm like "never again!" but then the next day I'm like "yespleasenow"

Bahahaaaaaa @MississippiCatfish@lancomechica2@DuchessOfCambridge I literally cannot sleep without it. And if we wake up before the kids it's just such a good way to start the day off. We have a 20 year age gap (he's older) so sometimes I have no clue how he manages to keep up.
Today I am so so sick. I've thrown up 3 times and I'm not hungry and really don't feel like eating so I'm just throwing up bile. I really thought I was done with sickness so I think this is partially stress related as well. I have a tough moral dilemma that's railing up my thoughts and I've got a pounding headache from it. Ugh.
Probably the best symptom thread so far lol. I am still having the same ones as before only add in headaches.....every day...all day. Ugh, headaches and preschoolers do not mix well. I have also noticed my already heightened emotions have gotten worse. I cant even listen to the radio in the morning any more because the commercials make me cry?!? @pawcall I thought I was doing good at about 1 or 2 a week at this stage, I am impressed. also with you girls on feeling like I smell, I have never used so much body spray in my life as I do now.

Still amazed. The most we've ever in a row was when we were TTC. After we got the positive, we were both kind of like phew, please don't touch me for a little while haha
I think we had the opposite @DuchessOfCambridge after TTC it is so nice to have sex without sticking a diva cup in after and charting it and checking my ovulation and having sex no more than every 2 days but not less than every 5 days. Now we can finally just enjoy it. I'm actually pretty surprised that you all don't have more sex. It's SUCH a stress reliever, and good exercise! Also we are all pregnant.. . So we got here somehow right?
First and second tri I love sex! The first time I was pregnant we had lots of it, but this time I've been so sick and exhausted, plus toddler. I'm sure DH is disappointed it's not more frequent than 1-2 times a week but that's life. Every time we do I'm like "wow why don't we do this more?!" And then the next night I pass out while he's in the shower and I remember why lol
