  • I'm totally going to make a secret baby registry haha

  • kris031409 less then a week to go how exciting!!  happy anniversary, its all coming together!

hbomb513 whoah a whole registry nice, nothing wrong with being prepared ;)
Good luck with your exams, its hard enough trying to work and go through IVF, i couldnt even think of being in school and trying to do this, no way!

caseyw8784 you know its all good ideas of how to keep track of things.  I have to say OH would kill me if he knew i was doing that.  He thinks all the reseach and questions i ask are overkill, can you imagine if he thought I had a registry.  Its interesting about your AF, mine has changed this whole year that I can't even figure out the who or what.  When I was younger it was a good 7/8 days.  Then in my 30's it was more 5/6 and now its way shorter its all confusing.  One thing I wont miss during pregnancy :)

kaseycoco so crazy how our emotions change about AF when TTC!!

AFM: I did hear that so far I've got 2 blasts 5AA/5BB.  Of course I was hoping for more but was happy to hear that they were all still growing so lets hope tomorrow will have some more good news!!  From what I gather 3 are in a 1A stage which I believe is a blast stage but not the one that can be frozen yet.  Another was at the morula and another was MF - still haven't figured out what that means yet, anyone every hear of that at this stage for grading?

I'm wondering if part of the problem is that my embryos do better in the womb then outside.  For example, if I wanted to do a transfer with an embryo that couldn't make it to the necessary stage needed to be frozen, could that embryo make for a viable pregnancy.  Some things I've read say that the blastocyst has to get to a later stage to be frozen because an early stage blastocyst won't freeze.  Am I losing normal embryos that might be able to thrive if placed in my uterus and just aren't strong enough to freeze...ugh I know its a wild question and even my RE will i'm sure say anything is possible right?

  • Love the idea of the secret baby registries. I think I need to do this haha.

@Hopeful_mom So far so good with 2 blasts- hopefully more will catch up to freeze. Such a catch 22 because if you put them back in at day 3 you can't use PGS and won't know if they're normal..it's so hard, but for now try to have faith in the process you're currently in..and remember- it worked for you once which means it can happen again!

  • Waiting for the call on fertilization has me on edge. I am already an anxious person and my stomach is in knots right now with this anticipation!

I know it's out of our control, and I am trying to focus on work, but all I want to do is talk about this huge thing going on in my world!

So far, I have had two PIO shots and they aren't too bad. My SI gives them to me and getting the shot isn't bad at all, but the soreness of the site is no joke. The first shot left me quite sore/uncomfortable. Last night I massaged the location before and after the shot and that seemed to lessen the soreness a bit, so I will just try to keep that up.

  • @Prudence9 I hope that June brings you a successful transfer! I am sorry for the delay.

@caseyw8784 I have been on the estrace for a while now and haven't noticed any dramatic side effects so far. Fingers crossed I won't, but I know the progesterone is a different story! I definitely feel it.

@brooklyngirl18 Hoping the best for you this cycle! Very excited for the numbers you have to test!

@Ash_SE I will keep my fingers crossed for you to get some meaningful feedback from the immunology tests!

@kris031409 HI! Happy to have a cycle buddy. How did your PIO shot go? I can tolerate it so far, but it's only been twice! Yes, we made the trip to our lab for fertilization yesterday. Now anxiously awaiting results!

@Hopeful_mom I am rooting for you! 2 - and potential for more is so exciting!

  • Sorry if I'm just jumping in here. I'm so anxious and don't know where to vent my anxiety. Today was my progesterone blood work. I'm waiting on the results and for my period to start. I've used an ovulation stick since we stopped injections on April 4. No ovulation so I don't even know when my period will get here. The clinic said I should get my period next week or so. I'm stressing myself out again because we want the cycle to start already. We also have a trip out of town June 4-7, so I'm hoping that my cycle will start and we won't have to cancel that trip.

  • Wow this board has been busy! I can't seem to keep up!! I love reading everyone's exciting posts! And now I'm starting a secret registry! Ha!

AFM, stop BCP Saturday, baseline Tuesday, and start Estradiol Wednesday! Phase II is almost here! This week I was driving to work and realized in less than a month, I may be pregnant!
  • @Prudence9 This is what they are testing you for. https://emedicine.medscape.com/article/261691-overview#a4  This is the initial immune tests that are done as part of a RPL panel. I would also also ask for MTHFR, PAI 4g4g, Factor V Leiden . Those are blood clotting issues and folate absorption issues that are know to cause miscarriage and easily treatable. I've got them!

There is also a whole 2nd level of testing you can get done. If you are interested I'm more than willing to email about it. Way too much to type here. Some REs believe in immune fertility some don't. Mine in DC does. I figure it is new and looking specially at causes for Repeat loss that hasn't really been investigated yet. Back in the day IVF was experimental do things have to start somewhere.
  • fivetimesnoluck i know i posted it on the other board but i'm so freaking excited for you!!! grow embabies grow!!

Angelaag keep believing it and seeing it and it will come!  thats at least what everyone always tells me ;)

immiet i've never done an FET and I'm not at that part yet.  You're trip is luckily in June so I think you should hopefully still have enough time!  Try not to stress, easier said then done in this process however for me when i stress that makes AF stay a way longer so try and relax.

Appreciate everyone good thoughts - THANK YOU!!  I truly believe its a group effort here helping me get better results.  Let the good news keep on coming!!

  • @whitebarley - frustrating that your lining isn't cooperating! how many times have you been/will you go in for a check? I've been on estrace since monday and wasn't told to come in until next Friday, the 5th. I almost want to call them to ask if i can come in to see how the lining is responding...lol. I'm assuming it's growing, cause like you, there's been a good amount of ewcm... ::shrugs::

My RE says they want the lining to be at least 7mm, but i'm not worried that it won't get there cause at one point during stims i think i saw that it was around 11-12 or so. it makes me a little anxious that there's nothing i can go in the meantime, and just wait til friday! haha
  • Yeah, my lining got pretty thick during stims too (although maybe not THAT thick @caseyw8784 - good on you lol). I just put on my first patch, and will start drinking POM tonight in the hopes that it does something! I've now been on the pills for 11 days, and only had one other interim check on Tuesday, where I was at 6. So I did grow to a 7 but they want at least 8. I also know that when you start progesterone your lining often contracts a little bit. So I am hoping that I'm bigger than 8 on Tuesday! Eeeek.

I *also* have MTHFR @hopefulmom! I am compound heterozygous! It's a real party in here. All I am doing for it is taking Dr. Thorne's special prenatal, a methylfolate supplement, and baby aspirin. I really hope that's enough. RE does not want to do the whole Lovenox thing.
  • Oh yes and RMA is amazing! They are really good about getting back to you and everything. It is a bit of a farm, but I was warned about that going into it so haven't found all the people or the rotation of doctors jarring. It does suck that they only take certain insurance. At first I thought I was going to be screwed, but for some reason the *fertility* coverage of my insurance has a carveout and is covered by United. It's very bizarre. I feel very lucky.

  • Yay for May being here!

ok, random (possibly/probably TMI) question....I usually have 31-32 day cycles, and when i was tracking with OPKs i usually ovulated around CD19 or 20. So, i'm nowhere near ovulation time. Today is CD8 and I'm on Day 7 of Estrace. I've noticed an increase in CM (which I've heard/read is quite normal) but today I've noticed that there's a teeny bit of brownish bloody/tinge with the CM. Is this normal? Not scheduled to go back in for monitoring until Friday, so it feels weird to be going so long without any check-ins lol...
  • @fivetimesnoluck @kris031409 good luck tomorrow!! sending you super sticky vibes!!

  • caseyw8784kaseycocobrooklyngirl18Hoping10Hopeful_mom thank you!!!  Transfer is 3 hours away!  Excited and nervous (I don't think I'd be so nervous if it weren't our only embryo) Hopefully my xanax in 2 hours will calm me down (does everyone's RE have them take xanax for transfer?).  I was told to just drink a bottle of water on the way to the hospital, so I shouldn't have the crazy full bladder issues that I've heard others complain about

    @fivetimesnoluck good luck!

caseyw8784 I didn't have that issue, but I know how you feel about it feeling like soooo long between check ins, after the stim cycle this one took forever.
