  • @adirat fx it's not HG and that you start to feel better soon or at least find some relief
  • Ugh @adirat I am so sorry you're going through this! I actually wondered when I saw that you were continuing to have bad MS if you were having HG. Keep us posted! I'm miserable just being super nauseous with occassional vomiting... I can't imagine going through it as bad as you are!

Other than nausea and food aversion, I have been very moody this week. I don't cry easily and am not a super emotional person... but this week, wow! Poor DH is interacting so cautiously and gently with me right now lol.

  • @BayCamp Thanks, I am also hoping it isn't... When I take the diclegis I get some relief so the RE wants me to go up to a max dose and see if it fixes the problem.

  • I am 6 weeks today and the nausea is finally hitting me. Trying to stay busy to keep my mind off of it. I am also only able to eat little bits at a time not big meals. And the exhaustion UGH! I am so looking forward to the second trimester!
  • Ugh @adirat that really sucks. I hope you feel better soon!

  • @kyersten Sorry to hear it :( I've been lucky not to have much if any moodiness... even DH remarked on it. Hard to work up much anger when you're lying on the bathroom floor all morning though!

  • I think I'm around 7-8 weeks, and I am feeling really emotional/borderline ragey, exhausted, and starving! I've been trying to stay on a very healthy diet, but I just caved at lunch and had something with more substance and am actually feeling much better now.

The emotions are very real right now. I have been getting frustrated at work and feeling like I either need to cry or scream. I'm usually way more even keeled. So it's been a struggle this week.

    Luckily not nauseous (yet?).

@adirat I'm in the same boat with you. Had my doc call me in a script because all my other home "helpers" weren't working. B6+unisom, lemon drinks, ginger, seabands and screw crackers...they always get stuck in my throats when they come back up. This will be my 4th round of HG and it totally sucks but the end reward is completely worth it. Lol.

Meds for vomiting ting makes me exhausted and that's does nothing for running after 2 toddlers while trying to stay awake for the Kindergartener to get home from school. I've kept down a handful of goldfish tod

  • Lots of RLP here today. I just coughed with a full bladder and oh my goodness did it hurt!
  • @QTAMum3 Thank you! It makes me feel better to hear you confirm it will be worth it :)

@rosalie12 Thanks :) I am not even trying to eat healthy so kudos to you!

  • @adirat ugh I was wondering if you had HG since you've been so sick! So sorry, lady, hopefully it's not that and they can find you some relief.

@BayCamp I'm with on the RLP. DH has gotten used to me coughing or sneezing or sitting up followed by an "OW!"

I can't really complain, guys. Some food aversion which is annoying when I'm starving constantly and want nothing, but very little nausea and my breasts hurt. I'm getting off easy, almost wish I could share the burden! (Almost, I hate throwing up)

  • I am feeling the same way! My 4th pregnancy (3rd child) and I feel so bloated and at only 9 weeks!! I am already going to the bathroom like a crazy person which was never an issue in either of my first 2 pregnancies... this is going to be a long 9 months lol
  • @adirat
so sorry to hear it is so bad for you! I hope you can get some relieft

    AFM-
Good days and bad days! Today the naseau is so bad. The exhaustion is here every day and by the time I come home from work I am just beat. I want to sleep 12+ hours a night. I try to get up and play with my son but some days it is just movies while mama is on the couch and daddy makes dinner (that mama doesn't eat). I had really bad headaches with my other pregnancies and don't have any this time- so weird how every one is different!

  • @adirat sending you lots of support and good vibes!

I'm okay today, only thrown up once (so far) and managed to eat a grilled cheese and a hot chocolate so I'm feeling pretty good.
Super cryie today... does that count as a word? Also just having a frustrating day in general so that's annoying. All in all, I can't complain today!
  • @adirat so sorry you're still so sick! FX an increase in the meds helps!

Bloat and constipation are sooo bad this week. I'm gonna have to invest in some prune juice. I swear I look 20 weeks pregnant already, it's not cute. And I thought taking my Prenatal at night was the cure to my nausea but today has been brutal. Just blah.

  • @BayCamp I took off my amber necklace and forgot to put it back on before bed and it felt like someone beat me up with a baseball bat. Never taking it off again!

  • @adirat: Sorry to hear that your vomiting and nausea have continued. Hopefully it isn't HG and upping the dose will help!

Today has been pretty good so far. Just on and off nausea.  Over the weekend and while flying back to the US, was miserable. Saturday was a 12 hour stint of intense nausea and then 6 straight hours of vomiting and dry heaving once my stomach was empty. Sunday was similar.

Monday lightened up a lot though thankfully and today has been ok. Sucking on sour patch, drinking gingerale and eating crackers has helped a lot. Starting to have pretty frequent left side aching/pains though.
  • I am right there with you! Bloated and constipated. I am actually taking a stool softener which is actually helping a lot!
  • @QTAMum3 I might have to get one for myself! I have one for the little guy and love it
  • @rosalie12 yes the moodiness/rage is real! Also the nausea has taken over my afternoons/evenings, but I don't mind it too much. Vernors ginger ale is my go to for helping nausea. A bit hard to find in TX as it is a northern thing (fam in Detroit drink it) but luckily have found it at one of the more upscale grocery stores here.
  • ((((hugs)))) to everyone who is feeling the MS! It was like a switch turned for me at 8 weeks and I had 4days of being completely miserable and puking until there was nothing left and then just heaving :( I am thankful for them meds I think I just have to get the doing right for me. I can feel my breast/nipple pain starting to ease up so hopefully the other symptoms will ease up as the hormones level out over the next few weeks.

  • Some body ordered a meeting lunch and there was a big box of dill pickle left over from the meeting.  Guess who shamelessly attached the dill pickle. I feel ecstatic! Normally this would make me hurl. This pregnancy craving is weird!! I feel so good right now, it's not even funny!
  • I was just released from hospital after being admitted for a few days with HG. Was in hospital the week before also. This is gonna be a long ride. However feeling ok this morning so far. So yay!

To everyone else with HG n bad MS.....i feel your pain.
  •  Also..... should have posted here instead of making a seperate post.....i have milk. Well sticky colostrum. Early isn't it?!? I'm not too worried... just so early in my experience.
  • @c+mpeachey I'm sorry to hear you have been so sick and had to be hospitalized!! Are you stable now and doing OK?

  • So far all of my symptoms with this pregnancy have been so different from my last. I swear MS started the moment I conceived! Lol. I was getting sick 3x a day the first week I found out I was pregnant. It seem so to have mellowed out a bit, but I think it may be because my appetite has increased and I've been hankering tons of protein.
I've also had a few migraines, and I have been having wild dreams!

  • @bklynchica :::big hugs::: an acquaintance had monoamniotic twins and are currently happy healthy and thriving 2yos. She did have a rough pregnancy that included having a surgery before they were born, but the end result was all they could have asked for. Hope you get good news at your u/s!!
  • @BayCamp thanks for that.

Anytime! I know it's so easy to fall down the worst case scenario google rabbit hole. Sometimes a positive story can help with balance
  • 8 weeks today, I think. The MS is still ever present, as well as exhaustion. I do get a lot of cravings though. Mostly for things like cheeseburgers, philly steak, and the like! I did a protein centric diet while pregnant with my son but by no means cut out any groups. He came out around 9 pounds and 21". I wonder if my body wants to make another big boy!

I'm stable for now. Just have to be careful of dehydration. Doing ok.... And baby is doing fine. :)
  • I'm so sad, chocolate smells/tastes horrible and it's my favorite

I miss chocolate so much!! But I do NOT want to eat it still. I can't wait to enjoy food again lol

  • I had my regular dentist appt this morning and the tech said the roof of my mouth looked like it had been burned it was irritated and inflamed... I knew I'd been bleeding when I brushed the past week or so but apparently I have pregnancy induced gingivitis (which is horrid as I'm usually an insanely paranoid mouth/teeth care person).

So sorry for the yuck @adirat!

  • @zigzag8412 pregnancy gingivitis is one of my fears! I think it was mentioned before on TB that most dental insurance covers two appointments during pregnancy and I am going to jump on that.
