Also, I feel for everyone with the terrible nausea, two things helped me. 1. A spoonful of peanut butter at bedtime. And when I was too sick to do that... 2. Freezies . Just slowly eating a freezie was life changing for me. Not sure if it was the cold. ... or the sugar, but whatever it was I would pretty much constantly have a freezie in my mouth.
I am so sore!!! I have no idea why. I feel like I ran a marathon or did an intense workout, but I haven't done more than walking in the past few days. My legs/thighs are super sore and my lower stomach/abdomen is sore as well.
Are anything other ladies experiencing this? (I am about 7 weeks).
My legs! Omg my right leg is KILLING ME. Hip to ankle. I was worried about a blood clot at first but now is the whole leg.
Ah I'm so nauseous and exhausted. I took a nap on the couch both days this weekend and am still so exhausted. I am happy that I'm pregnant, but hate being pregnant. Just like PP have said.
Has anybody else been blowing small amounts of blood out of their nose? I don't remember this happening with my 1st. And I'm right there with the ones who hate being pregnant! When me and my fiance first talked about having another one I told him to make sure he was ready because I'm a miserable pregnant lady.
@amber0529 yes to the blood in nose. Not like, bleeding, but trace amounts when I blow. It hasn't happened all winter (when it would be a normal time for that) until now.
@amber0529@bklynchica It's due to increased blood flow. I had really bad bloody noses with my first pregnancy.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
I'm still in bed should be at work. I could noy get going this morning I just felt dreadful. I tried taking my pills (diclectin and folic acid) and then couldn't stop being sick. DH put me to bed and left for work and to take the kids to school.
I feel terrible I'm missinh work. I dont feel well but no one knows and I feel I will be judged. Just lyinh here feeling horribly guilty.
@2Dash This is a terrible burden that women bear. We should not feel guilty for missing work when we are physically ill, no matter the cause of the illness (OK, maybe a little guilty if it's a hangover).
I officially have morning sickness for real and I do not know what to do about it at work. Maybe I can use the lobby bathroom where no one really goes...
@tashandma I may have to grab some of that and some sour candy at lunch. I ended up lucking out and finished throwing up before someone walked in and then I just stayed in my stall until she left haha. They should really have at least one individual bathroom on every floor! What if you have issues!
For the FTMs who feel like they hate pregnancy: In my pregnancy with DD, the first trimester was definitely the worst. In the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, I actually loved being pregnant. For almost everyone, at least the nausea (which I think is the worst symptom of pregnancy) goes away. And then you get a lot more of the fun things, like having a real baby bump, and feeling the baby move! Not many people enjoy the first trimester, but there is hope--you may still enjoy being pregnant!

Nov 17 BMB May Siggy Challenge: Mother's Day Fails
Boobs. My boobs were already huge to begin with and now they are huger and hurt like a SOB. I feel like I want to wear a sports bra or something to wrangle them in when I'm at home (sometimes when they move it hurts so bad it makes me even more nauseous), but I also feel like that would be too tight and hurt. What other options are out there?
I'm also just incredibly nauseous all the time, but puking does not help me feel better. Different things help on different days. Currently eating Goldfish and trying to get down a fruit/veg smoothie because it's been so hard to get my healthier foods in with my tummy feeling like such crap all the time.
Thanks for the encouragement from STM+s that it will get better. It helps!
@emucoleman thank you!I'm clinging to hope that I will love pregnancy, I always dreamt of being a mother and pregnancy is something I've been waiting for for a long time. I'm so disappointed that I've disliked it so far!
@BayCamp that was me two days ago. Though I was over it after 3 days of not throwing up. Ended up living over the toilet on Saturday and losing almost every meal ! Yesterday I was nauseous, but today I'm okay.. I think it's slowly weaning itself away?
Spent the day at my OB getting 2 bags of IV fluids and IV zofran. I just kept down my first bag of oyster crackers and sips of water. The doc upped my meds to 8mg 3x daily and they are the melting ones so I don't struggle trying to keep a pill and water down.
@QTAMum3 I hope you get some relief with the new dosage!
The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous and we've been spending lots of time outside (and away from our screens, hallelujah!) but my energy is definitely not back yet. Sweet jesus, I am so, so exhausted by the evenings. In most ways I'm grateful DS isn't a toddler anymore, but joining him for an afternoon nap would probably be about the best feeling ever.
I just had my first Charlie horse of this pregnancy. Tonight's was my right foot, though I'm sure I will let some calf ones soon, too!! If you didn't know, this can be a thing in pregnancy, and it's awful!
@amber0529. Yes bloody noses are a pregnancy thing! With DS1 I had a bloody nose at work. It was pouring and got all over the carpet when I was trying to get to the bathroom. They had to have the carpets specially cleaned. I was so embarrassed.
Blah. Woke up at 2am having to pee, a bit nauseous, with chest gas, and super thirsty. Just feeling blah today, sore boobs are back, and oddly no appetite today. Oh and all the CM..I just want to go back to bed.
I feel like I could start my own threads. "Constipation Monday", "Diarrhea Tuesday", "What the heck is wrong with my body Wednesday"!! Ugh!! I hate the first trimester!
Of course the one day my DH promised all 3 kids they could stay home from school with me all day without asking me first is the day that I have 500 things to get done and the day that I'm going to hurl 3 times before 9am. It's going to be a long day. My MS is definitely starting to go away as now I don't have it everyday and when I do have it it seems to be fairly concentrated and not all day.
Guys TMI but serious question. I'm having pain that starts kind of in my abdominal area and is a shooting pain down through the rectal area. Rectal area is where it hurts the most. Google is not helping. Any idea what this could be? I've had shooting rectal pain before but it's only lasted a minute or so and this is bad enough that I want to go home. No blood or anything. ETA: I've already had a normal BM this morning followed by diarrhea (today's a really great day for me)
@DuchessOfCambridge is the pain in a specific spot in your abdomen, almost like nerve pain running between there and your rectum? If so, it might be a hemorrhoid, I hate to say. If the abdomen pain is kind of all over, it may just be gas? TMI perhaps but I got my first hemorrhoid of my life during this pregnancy and not from constipation but from a bout of diarrhea, which I thought was odd. It wasn't a "bad" one and never bled and has since pretty much gone away, but one thing I noticed when wiping was that it seemed to shoot some nerve-type pain out to a specific spot in my lower abdomen.
Thanks @car1a, I ended up going home and am waiting for a call back from the OB nurse. I have never hoped so hard for a hemorrhoid. It feels kind of like I have period cramps with shooting rectal/vaginal pain, which is worrying me. Still no blood though, so I'm holding on to that. FX for hemorrhoids or something equally not that big a deal.
Thanks @jess0211 and @emucoleman. I started sobbing on the phone to the nurse because naturally I expect the worst and she said nothing I called about is something she hasn't heard before in a healthy normal pregnancy so I need to just take Tylenol and rest and call back in a few hours if it hasn't gone away. I don't feel that much better about it but since I'm not bleeding at all, I'm trying to destress.
