@jessafishy, seriously, it's the cutest. She's DD's BFF, and she's always talking about "Lulu." Like, I need to come up with a name that correlates with Lulu as a nn.
I texted DH and he said he likes the nn but not the full name.

Me: what do you think about the middle name "Taylor"? H: ugh. I don't like those unisex names. Todd Taylor. Me: uhhh well there is a clear reason for using it.
i could prob whine my way to getting it. I just don't know how much I care.
DH and I discussed tonight and he has Weston Thierry on the top of his list now. Can't complain he actually gave input and I kinda pink puffy heart it.
Edit: now to find out if there is even a peen in there.
I know for sure Bryson for the first name, but we can't seem to find a middle name. Any suggestions? Who would have known that baby naming could be so difficult

Since we are officially having a boy we've decided on Conrad Eugene B***er. First name is my dad's middle name and middle name is a fifth generation middle name on my SOs side. I'm happy to be set on a name but sad the name hunt is over!
@beezeemarie oh that's right, hard to keep track of the names- I love Eloise. Eloise and Luella would be perfect together! Maybe DH will warm up to it (:
@beezeemarie when we lived in MD, our next door neighbors were drug dealers. But they had this little girl named Eloise who was quite possibly the sweetest, brightest child I had ever met (I wasn't a big "children" person prior to DD). I wanted to foster/adopt her so badly because we knew it was only a matter of time before her parents got busted and she ended up in the system. She'd float over to our backyard to play with our dogs and she just had the oldest soul for a 5 year old. The name Eloise suited her so, so well.
I still think about that little girl all the time and wonder what happened to her - her parents did get busted and sent to jail and I just hope she ended up with someone who recognized her potential.

Alright ladies give it to me straight. What do we think of these names. For a girl the middle name will be Valerie no matter what, but which first name goes best with Valerie?
Nova Valerie Emilia Valerie Hannah Valerie Brinley Valerie Adeline Valerie
Also for your girls I really like all of them except Brinley. My favorite is probably Nova or Hannah!

@alwaysadventure I definitely don't think it's too far out there and pairs very well with Nash!

Soooo our girl name list is coming along nicely. Boy names we have 2 and DH is NOT wild about either. We need to work on coming up with more male options
Warning - I read an article yesterday that was saying Hazel was on the rise as a super popular name...
My mom would legit disown me if we named our child Hazel. It kind of cracks me up because DH and I apparently like the "older" names and my "older" parents hate them.
For the record, DD has an "older" name and everyone agrees that it suits her perfectly.

@natleilynn thanks for the heads up! I dont want a very popular name for LO. Both H & I have very popular names, There was always 4 kids in my class with the same name and it drove me crazy.
@dumbledoredies Thats awesome! We get so many compliments on Nash's name! My Dad rebuilds classic cars so I think that's why I always lean towards "car" names. Nash, Axel, Nova...
Naming a human is super hard! Especially when you haven't met them yet. Caroline was our girl name for years and there was no question we'd name our first Caroline. I still love the name but it really doesn't suit her. We also named DD2 Charlotte with the plan to call her Charlie, but she doesn't seem like a Charlie at all. We actually call her YaYa most of the time (how DD1 pronounced her name in the beginning). So basically we are really good at naming!
@TallMomma29 we call a teenager on the dance team "YaYa" because her little brother calls her that, iher name is Kayla. He couldn't say Kayla, just YaYa. Now everyone calls her that. Unless they're mad at her lol
@alwaysadventure we're mostly waiting till we find out the sex, but we had already decided on Catherine Theodora if we ever had a third girl and Theodore Marshall if we ever had a boy... If boys we'll probably split those names up between the two (names of two grandpas).
I sometimes contemplate taking a few names to the hospital and going with what really seems to "fit" but I think I'm just overanalyzing too much. It's one of my special skills!
My top baby girl names are: 1. Hallie 2. Riley 3. Siobhan (pronounced Shiv-vaugh)
I've always liked the name Siobhan, but the spelling throws people off. This used to be my top choice because we have an Irish last name and would love to have an Irish first name too.
What do you guys think?
Baby boy names - I am having the hardest time! We were thinking Jack after DH's brother, but I feel like there are so many Jacks out there.
PS - we will know the sex on May 16th. I'm so excited!!!
@ariz17 I like Hallie & Riley. Both very cute! If I seen the name Siobhan I would have no clue how to pronounce it so your LO may go through life having to tell people how to pronounce her name/spell her name. It is unique though so theres that.
@ariz17 the first time i ever say Siobhan i said "sio-bo-han" but that was like over a decade ago, i know what the real name is now i love it say go with that! it isnt like it is a made up name/pronunciation.
I know I was thinking that too. my full name is Ariel, pronounced Arr-ee- el.. (if that makes sense).. basically not the way the little mermaid pronounces it and I've had to correct people my whole life.
@ariz17 I loooooooove Riley but BIL had a super crazy, super intense ex named Riley and I feel like that name is completely tarnished in this family Makes me sad!
