@kvruns Really?? M's have a slight smell but it's not obnoxious and once the diaper is in the trash you can't smell it anymore. His farts on the other hand are terrible!

Mine seems to not poop for a few days and then have giant ones when he does go. Those almost always smell bad. I was taken off guard bc I thought BF poops weren't supposed to be stinky
Love our Dr. Brown bottles, muslin blankets, sound machines, and Merlins Magic Sleepsuit.
Hes not crazy about pacifiers but if he takes one it's the Mum brand. Also, I can't stand burp rags!! I feel like they are wayyyy too small so we use muslin blankets or something similar instead. As far as toys go, anything that has that crinkle sound he loves and anything he can put in his mouth!
I also like the snap outfits better. Unless they are super snug the zipper ones don't fit him as well.
@anne11716 I use the Gerber cloth diaper liners. They are very absorbent. I also drape a regular bath towel over us just in case I over flow the diaper.
@m6agua I just saw one of those at Target yesterday. I don't really get it though, why is it great?
Anyone have recommendations for a lightweight or umbrella stroller? I want something smaller than my BOB but I don't want to spend $100+ for an umbrella stroller. I do plan to look at garage sales and stuff this spring
@Zoefer how longare you trying a brand before switching? I know going from breast to bottle is super challenging based on my experience with DD three years ago. And so far DS isn't taking a bottle either. With DD we tried 5-6 different bottles but she finally started accepting them with Dr Browns. I do t really have any recommendations except to stay don't give up! Keep trying the same bottle for a long time before switching. It may not be the bottle itself just LO not wanting anything but the breast. Ultimately going to day care and having no other options is what worked for us. With DS I'm just sticking with Dr Browns and not giving him other options figuring he will eventually get it. Some suggestions: use premie or level 1 nipples only since they are slow flow. have anyone other than Mom give the bottle. even leave the house because if LO knows you are there she will refuse more forcefully. hold her in a different position than when you breastfeed, like facing out. try walking around while you feed her, take her outside, distract her with singing heat the nipple with warm water heat the breast milk
@ZoeFer DD went through a few before we landed on Tommy tippee bottles. I have a faster let down so we had to use level 2 nipples or she gets frustrated.
thanks all for suggestions, it s been 1.5 months since i started to work. my mom or H give the bottle to her and i m never around during the feeding. i believe they do everything they can but she doesnot drink more than 1-2 ounces. i dont know if it s nipple related but i will try different brands just in case.

We started with the Similiac individually wrapped ones to get LO comfortable with the bottle.
@kvruns My friend has the Chicco Echo and likes it. I think she said she found it on sale at Walmart or Target. I chose the Graco Breaze. But both of those are in the higher price range.
As for the formula pitcher it is amazing because you can mix a large batch in the morning. It has the measurements right on the side. I can put all the powder in at once and then mix it without getting any clumps or bubbles. I can also keep the excess in there and just pour more into bottles if needed. Previously was mixing in a pitcher with a spoon or whisk, I always had to only put one or two scoops in and then mix and repeat until I got all the formula in. There were always clumps, bubbles, and foam. Then I would put the excess in a bottle with a cap on and pour from that when I needed more, the bottle doesn't pour as nice.
@ZoeFer My friend uses Munchkin Latch bottles and likes them.
@kvruns This may very well be entirely unhelpful but we ditched the strollers all together and go to carriers - Bjorn for day to day functions and the Osprey for hikes, traveling and in the city. They're less limiting because LO goes where you go, stairs are a non issue, and they're up higher so they can see. And the Bjorn takes up way less space!
We have a carrier like a Baby Bjorn but so far LO isn't a fan and it's a pain when he gets riled up to get him out and then take it off. I would like to use it more as the weather gets nice but I don't see it replacing a stroller for me
We got a toy that can be wrapped into the carseat holder and it carries few small toys and mirror on it. She likes it a lot Infantino go gaga spiral carseat
So I bought an Ergo when I was pregnant and my friend loaned me her Moby wrap and Mei Tai. I didn't like the Moby and I bought myself a Mei Tai. Now I recently bought myself a Lillebaby and sold my Ergo. I have to say anyone who likes the more structured carriers I recommend the Lillebaby, it is AMAZING! I love the lumbar support and it is easier to get on and off by myself over the Ergo. I still love the Mei Tai as well but I see using each carrier for different things.
With all that I am not one of those crazy baby wearing moms, I believe in strollers as well! I have the Chicco frame stroller which I love! Now that LO is getting bigger I have been using my BOB Flex around my neighborhood and I love it, I cannot wait to start jogging with it and the dog. I also have a Graco Breaze umbrella stroller but haven't used that yet.
@m6agua do you have LO sitting in the actual stroller part of the BOB or are you clicking in the carseat?
I can't imagine running with the BOB and taking the dog - mine is a pain in the ass just to walk with the stroller, the leash gets caught all the time because he like to criss cross the sidewalk
I have her in the stroller. The straps are a little loose but it's cold here so she wears the snowsuit and that helps. For the dog, we use a gentle leader so he doesn't pull so much and it helps a lot. Also he is high energy but once he starts running he tends to go in more of a straight line. Walking he has had to learn to go straight, he has been run over with the stroller a couple times. I figure he will learn.
I run with the car seat clicked into the BOB even though you're not supposed to. I haven't tried him in the stroller part yet, I guess I like the ease of seeing him /popping in a pacifier for now
@kvruns Yes that is something I have to get used to. I have to stop and look to see if she is sleeping. I didn't end up buying the adapter for the carseat because we have the frame stroller. I did try to buy a used one for $10 but it was for the pre-2016 models
what type of toys do your LOs play with or are there some activities they enjoy ? We only have some soft balls, teething toys and a play gym (she loves most). She also likes finger puupet books. She just turned 5 months old and I am wondering if we should include more activities to her day.
S loves her bouncer. She is constantly moving those legs all day long. I ended up buying the Violet leap frog puppy (girl version of Scout) and she seems to like that. The only thing with that is, she doesn't know yet to press the feet to turn it on so I have help her to play with it. She also loves anything she can put in her mouth. I purchased some Nuby squirting bath toys and she loves the star fish that came with the set. She plays with that outside of the bath.
@zoefer My LO plays with various rattles, her play may/gym, carseat toys (ones that hang), Sophie, and some plastic links. Basically anything she can grab, shake, or put in her mouth. We have a jumper and an excersaucer for her but she isn't tall enough.
When is everyone making the move to the larger car seat? Does anyone have any suggestions on what one? If you have one you love, I would love to hear about it! LO is 18.5 lbs and 28 inches long. I feel like it's in the near future especially with summer coming up.
I'm planning to keep E in the same car seat until age two. We have the Chicco Keyfit 30, which can be used until she's 30 lbs. I haven't weighed/measured her in a month, but last time I did she was 15 lbs and 24 in so I think we'll be good with this seat until she switches to forward facing.

My plan is similar to that although just today I read that the recommendation is to switch to convertible at age 1 bc of impact protection differences. Seemed odd to me, I don't see why 1 is magic for change if they still meet the height - weight requirements. I do know friends have said their kids hit height restriction way before weight usually

We have almost identical baby stats! With our first, at a year we invested in the Graco 4ever and it has treated us well. After looking back at ODD height/weight at that age, it turns out it was what this LO is now: 20 lbs & 28". We will probably transition out if the infant car seat when he can sit, well, independently.

Yes! I think this is the thing S likes most. We don't have a high chair yet so we are using this when giving her solids.
