Adeline Patricia is my little sweet pea's name. She had a name before she was even conceived though. Patricia is my grandmother who is still with us... name. Oddly enough she's due on my grandmother's birthday as well. So I'm hoping for a June 4 baby!
We are pretty sure this baby will be Jonah. Haven't got to middle name yet, that might be a game time decision.
We're also using Jonah! We've decided on Jonah Rhys for this little guy...big brother is Aaron James (AJ). I guess we're into the biblical first name and English/Welsh middle name for boys. AJ is actually named after both of my grandfathers, so I think the new guy's name being a similar theme is probably just coincidence. Either way, I wasn't totally sold on Jonah Rhys until I sat on the name for about a week...and now I love it!
If this one had been a girl, her name would've been Emilia Belle. Our original girl name the first time around was Isobel Rose, but 15,000 family members have used some variation of that name in the past 2 years.
Loving the name choices. It's nice to see more traditional names. I have a hard time not busting out some serious side-eyes when I lurk on the baby names boards...
We're having a boy and have been having the hardest time with names! DS1 is Samuel James; my husband LOVES and was set on Jett which I don't like so much, but I don't mind it as a middle name. At dinner one night we were throwing around names and we both like Emmitt, we were pretty set on it until later that night I remembered where I heard the name Emmitt before.. Zootopia (Emmitt otterton) my son's favorite movie lol hopefully I can move past it, that's all I can think of now when we say that name
If he were to be a girl it would have been Maddie Kay. My sister is naming hers Hudson Cole, I've seen a lot of FB friends announcing with the name Hudson.
Anyone else thinking about using their maiden name for the middle name? My maiden name is actually a very common boy name's nickname spelled slightly differently so it really fits perfectly as a boy middle name. Though I know my sister will also use it as a middle name for a boy (if she has one). She doesn't mind, but anyone think that would be weird - cousins with the same middle name?

I don't think it's weird for cousins to have the same middle name, especially if it's a family name. My DS and my nephew technically have the same middle name, just different variations of it. We laughed about it, but no one cares.

My moms maiden name is my brothers middle name and will be this baby's middle name if it's a boy. I'm using it because it's my grandparents last name and I want to honor them. Other options were Max, Ira, VeNeta and Lee. Taylor just sounded the best with Charles!
so if it's a boy it will have the same middle name as it's uncle. I think the same middle name for cousins is fine! My friend's son's middle name is the same as his cousins' first name!
danijo Three of my nieces have the middle name Catherine after both my grandmothers so not weird at all. I thought about the name Jordana as a middle name after my maiden name if it was a girl.
@danijo Definitely not weird for cousins to have the same middle name. About 75% of the girls in my family have one of two middle names, they are the names of my grandmother and great grandmother. I will be giving my baby girl one of those middle names anyway!
@elyse1384 if you don't get out of here with your TOM-alina.....
Hmmm... not to your taste. How about Tomette, Tommylyn or Tomala?
Tomala??? really?????? I feel like somewhere out there is little Tomala running around barefoot with a piece of straw hanging out of her mouth getting ready to feed her pigs and cows

My maiden name is actually my son's first name. I also have several cousins that share middle names.
For a boy, I'd like the middle name to be either my maiden name, or after my cousin, Steven who recently passed away.
For a girl, I really like the name Dulcie Lynn, but DH is not sold. Both my mom and my MIL have the middle name Lynn. I like Dulcie because it is not common in the states, and neither is mine, DH, nor DD's.
We're really waiting until after our anatomy scan to really talk names, since we'll only have to think of one.

My maiden name is actually my middle name now, and we've talked about using it as a middle name for a son. I definitely don't think it's weird for cousins to have the same middle name...go ahead and use it!
Like @ LMMama we will also be using Benjamin if this LO turns out to be a boy (team green). Benjamin Sawyer. The S in Sawyer is after my MIL who passed and Ben is my paternal G-pa's middle name. Girl wise we have a few, Scarlett and Penelope (nn Penny) are the front runners. But I'm not sold on either just yet. DH is claiming we will have to pick out of a hat. Middle name is set at Schryver, again the S is for MIL, and it also is my paternal G-ma's maiden name that she made her mn after marriage. I love using last names as mn's. I think it's a great tribute. There is so much great inspiration on this board!!
NarrowHouses when I was looking into my family history, I found out my great grandmother's name was actually Eleanora and a lot of my Dad's cousins and his sister were named Eleanor after her. Some went by Eleanor, some Ellie, some Nora so Nora is definitely a nn for Eleanor
I think every girl born in the 80s had the middle name Lynn (mine) or Marie (my sister) or Ann (like half my cousins).
That's all the girls in my immediate family, my middle name is Lynn, my sister's is Marie, and my mom's is Ann hah
80s girl here...my middle name was "Lee" before I changed it after I got married. I'm pretty sure half the girls in my graduating HS class had the same MN.

If if it is a boy we are pretty set on Grayson James (James is DH's first name).
Girl names is where we have a problem. I love the name Macy and DH hates it. Here is our list of ideas:
McKenzie Faye
Samantha Faye
Taylor Faye
Taylor Nicole
Sadie Elizabeth
Evelyn Marie
Madeline Sophia
If we had a girl it was going to be Ayla Mae.
We found out yesterday we are having another boy! We aren't settled yet but we both like Ethan Robert (Robert after DH and his dad).

If baby was a girl, she would have been Madeline Elizabeth.

Eta: We will call him Cam.

Top contenders right now are Nora Jane for a girl and Theodore Robert for a boy
Others girl names: Eleanor, Alice, Clara
Other boy names: Wesley, Benjamin, Thomas, Henry
Thoughts on using Nora as a nickname for Eleanor? I
