Re: Waiting for AF after MC

  • @NYTino24 I'm so sorry for your loss :(. I've been taking prenatal vitamins since last February (4 months before we got married and started ttc in June).  A little nutty to me that it's been nearly a year.  I've been sorta benched (loss at almost 12 weeks at the beginning of October) since we're jumping right into IVF (a lot for screening and because of my age - going to be 40 this year) this month, but I've taken the vitamins continuously and started the Ubiquinol again right after loss.  I think taking vitamins regularly has kept me healthier generally over the past almost year.

I started temping as soon as I got back to my thermometer (I m/c out of town at my childhood home since I was there to attend a wedding) because I'm kind of neurotic and like to know (or try to know) what's going on (and I've still never had any betas done ever - they just gave me the "call us if you don't bleed in 12 weeks" - so just HPTs).  As pictured (this was my m/c cycle), they stayed higher until my just about negative HPT (quite the b-day present, considering).  But otherwise I guess it looked kind of normal for me - I tracked AF starting last January, but didn't start temping till our pregnancy cycle in July (so didn't have a normal, non-pregnancy cycle to which to compare).

My apologies if I'm not supposed to post things like this - I am happy to edit if I've offended anyone - just let me know.  I'm a visual person myself so like pictures.

Hang in there and I hope you're able to sort out whatever physical issues with which you're  dealing quickly so you'll be in tip top shape to try again when you're ready!

  • @NYTino24  I was getting weekly blood draws for about 14 weeks. My HPTs were bright pink until I was at 25 HCG.  At 17 I could only see a faint line.  Hope that helps.  Good luck with the wait.  FX af comes soon.
