  • @lilbabybrown - beautiful! Love the one of you lying down.

4 week child birth class starts tonight for us and will be every Monday in August. I feel like it's too early but they recommend to take it during the 7th month and the September class seemed way too close to my due date.

  • @MRSCORKER - All this talk of panties reminded me that I wanted to ask you about those fold over Motherhood panties you mentioned having in a previous thread.

I bought some in XL (I'm generally between and L and an XL in their pants). They fit okay in the waist, but they're really baggy in the butt. Now, I don't have a donk or anything, but it ain't small either. Are yours baggy in the butt? I'm wondering because I don't know if I should exchange the ones I haven't worn for larges or just return them.
Mine were; but once I washed them a few times they shrunk a bit and now they are perfect.

I bought some Jessica Simpson ones yesterday to see if they would be better, they fit in the butt but fold and roll at the waist. Ugh.
  • DH and I went to Michael's the other day and they had so much Halloween stuff out! DH was like "isn't it a little early for that?" Never! October is my favorite month, and I love Halloween/Fall decorations and everything that goes into the season. I can't wait!

  • @bamacoop I was just at Hobby Lobby and it's like Halloween and CHRISTMAS threw up in there! I expected the Halloween but Christmas?!

@kaessi - the safest low-intervention things are to increase fluids intake, fiber, and do more walking. The pharmaceutical (preg-approved) remedies are colace or surfak (docusate), and milk of mag if used sparingly. There are also certain iron supplement brands that are made to have less of a constipation side effect.

help! someone here was talking about low-cal ice cream in a previous rando thread and I forgot the brand. I wanted to try it. I think what it was was that someone was disppointed in the brand they bought, and somebody else recommended a yummy brand.
  • I'm down for labor buddies too!

@lilbabybrown gorgeous pictures! So lucky! I asked a friend who seems to take great pictures and I was hoping she would do them this weekend but she was working and didn't feel like it.  I might try to take my own, just so I have something (I have a tripod and a great camera so worth a shot).

Sorry to go back to the mesh panties again, but I asked a friend that gave birth last year at the same hospital I'm going to about the mesh panties and she had no idea what I was talking about!! She didn't get them!! I'll definitely buy and bring some high wasted granny panties, and I have the huge overnight pads that I'm going to bring.  I'm going to make the padiciles but they do have the vag ice packs at my hospital (my friend described them as a frozen finger lol).

@noraaurora how low calorie are we talking?  With GD carbs are an issue for me right now, and I have been doing Halo Top, which is pretty darn delicious for 60-70 calories a serving if you can find it in your area.  Just don't expect the exact same texture as regular ice cream, but it's impressive for what it is -- especially the birthday cake flavor.  I have also really been enjoying Yasso Greek yogurt bars at about 100 calories a pop.  Salted caramel is my favorite.  I have not tried Artic Zero, which is in the same category as Halo Top, but I've heard it's not nearly as good.

lilbabybrown Wow - those are so gorgeous! And love the dress!

I want a labor buddy too! That sounds fun!

@CopperBoom86 I bought a size L and thought they were a little too big at first, but as someone else said, after washing a few times, they're now perfect. I plan to go back & get more!

ETA: I forgot why I initially came on here to post! I got my GD results back and passed - woo-hoo! But blood work also confirmed I'm definitely anemic and now I have to double my iron intake...which sucks because I'm already having some serious issues in the "going" dept and I know that much iron is gonna make it way worse. Anyone have any fantastic remedies that work? Anyone?!
    Stuck in the box!
I received my labs via email and have an appointment to review them with my Dr. Wednesday. They showed low RBC, Hemoglobin and Hematocrit but not by much out of the normal ranges.

I am just curious if any low reading is considered anemic or if you have to absolutely bomb the normal ranges to be required to increase your Iron intake.

  • Ah! I'm so behind on all the threads today! That'll teach me to take time off ;)

    @lilbabybrown- you look AMAZING!!!

@CopperBoom86- you're in my head today, clearly. Actually glad to read that those are big in the booty, ya know... Bc mine is huge!
  • @brzvice- my hct was low but my OB said my numbers looked great. Your OB will have a certain threshold they want you above- they will tell you if you're officially anemic.

  • @NoraAurora I second the yasso Greek yogurt bars, they're awesome!  I am also loving Enlightened ice cream, it's by far the best tasting healthier ice cream I've tried.  Unfortunately it's pretty pricey, or I'd eat a pint every night!

  • @annabenanna I get that feeling. We haven't had sex in weeks, I seriously can't remember the last time but it's mostly because he's weirded out by the baby being "right there". It sucks, not because my sex drive is high, I just miss the closeness and intimacy and I have also worried about how long it's going to be before we get it back.

  • @annabenanna I don't drink, so I've never had drunk sex, but the sex will definitely come back! Just be patient and hopefully your DH can be patient too. I haven't been allowed to have sex my whole pregnancy + I won't be able to for the 6 weeks after and it sucks, but I know we will get back to that again eventually. Try not to worry!

  • @annabenanna So has mine =/ between my size, and this heat neither FI or myself are feeling too sexy. He's always too exhausted and I'm always just too pregnant...

I am not a fan of drunk sex- always ends up sloppy and really NOT sexy or satisfying, but I miss stoned sex and am looking forward to that again one day!

  • FI would not be okay with courtesy sex. He would take it super personal if I didn't seem into it, and I just don't have the energy or acting skills to 'fake it'. It's all or nothing over here.

Oh man, you are such a trooper. We haven't had sex since May and before then it was since January because we've been on and off pelvic rest and now are currently off... still no sex. I don't mind at all, but I'm sure DH does. He's just been working his ass off so he's usually too tired.
