I just want to give props to all the ladies that have been dealing with swelling and pre-e symptoms. I've been lucky too just now start to swell but it's only my right side that is swelling and it looks kinda silly. I guess since it's my dominate side and she lays on the right side but having only my right foot, ankle, and hand swell is not fun. This heatwave doesn't help either, I plan on being a hermit all weekend and stay in the a/c.
Expecting baby #1 August 2016
Already have three furbabies- Blake, Sydney, and Chester
Are epic meltdowns a symptom? I've had two today. For the second one I cried so hard I gave myself a nosebleed, all because I thought I broke the stroller trying to put it together (I didn't). I think perhaps I'm trying to do too much and just wearing myself down.
@Mfuller76 I've been an emotional wreck for the past week, these hormones are crazy. One minute I'm super excited about meeting our LO, the next I'm crying hysterically about something else. Ugh ... I have to remind myself this is normal, what I'm feeling is normal and it's not going to last forever.
Same with me! I had actually just told my mom this week that throughout this whole pregnancy I've pretty much felt like myself and hadn't had any "crazy pregnancy" episodes you hear about. Then tonight when we were driving home I started have this severe anxiety on the highway because I felt there were too many cars around us and we were going too fast. DH was really confused. I just cried and said, "I can't *sniff* help it!". I just kept thinking our daughter will be in the backseat soon and I have this huge fear of getting in a car wreck. Ugh.
It's good to know I'm not just going bat-shit crazy and this is normal... But sorry y'all are going through it too! Hopefully all the extra hormones mean we're really close to meeting our LOs. Deep breaths and hang in there!
Ive had contractions on and off all day. Started having really intense contractions that stayed at 5 minutes apart for 30 minutes and I got hit with some stomach flu symptoms. Guess Ill keep tracking the contractions now. But what has me confused is LO is moving like crazy.. I thought someone told me that they dont move as much during labor because of the contractions. Any insight?
@alyssajrob22 My LO seems to go nuts after each contraction I get this last week. I also feel like her wild movements sometimes start up my contractions. Mine aren't really that regular or strong though.

I sobbed through the entire movie "Miracles from Heaven." I would probably tear up here and there normally but definitely not sob through it. I'm a wreck lately!
I don't know if it's the heat wave we're in that is causing it but I have been nauseous every day for the last week. I am way too pregnant for this!
I could feel my baby moving throughout my entire labor today @alyssajrob22. I was surprised, even as I was getting ready to push I got a kick in the side! Lol I don't remember that happening with my first two
Last day of 38 weeks. No concern here with baby movement lol, at about 35 weeks he got to where he's so big the movement slows down and you can't feel every little movement because they are smaller and less jarring. Well, let me tell you about 38 weeks and small movement - I can feel EVERY movement lol. This baby officially has no more room. Thank God I'm being induced Monday. Literally laying in bed I can't sleep, I can feel everything he's doing and every movement aches.
Us too!!!! I'm SOOO ready to have my body back. My knees have started hurting from the weight. I'm going to miss pregnancy but I'm tired of being in pain. You're little Levi is precious!!! Totally cracked me up that he was stubborn on making his way out!!! Congrats!
Tired, grumpy, nauseous, and headache today. I just feel off. I think DH has started to get antsy waiting on baby and has got me anxious to be done. I'll only be 36 weeks on Tuesday so I need him to take a chill pill so we can enjoy the last few weeks of this pregnancy. Which is hard enough for me between the heartburn, reflux, headaches and general miserableness.
To the ladies whose water has broke before or have leaked amniotic fluid...is it liquid basically like pee or is it kinda thicker like discharge? I've been pretty wet down there today and it's pretty liquidy, I'm sure it's probably just me peeing myself (yay pregnancy) but just curious.
@BrunetteBabe722... it's more watery than discharge, and is pretty much just clear. Looking at it on a puppy pad, it had a little yellow tint to it. I can see how it can be confused with pee, I wasn't 100% sure what I was leaking until they tested it and told me. But I was also pretty confident I was not peeing myself. I went to the bathroom to pee, went like usual, but continued to drip with almost every step after that.
The last 2 days I've been incredibly thirsty. Anyone else? I already drink mostly water and tons of it during the day but the constant feeling of being thirsty is weird for me.

It's more watery than discharge. One way to see if you're leaking is to sit on the toilet (after you empty your bladder) and rock back and forth while trying to hold in any pee. If there's still liquid coming out then you're most likely leaking.
I'm having these sharp pains around my hip bone areas that kind of travel down half my thigh and up my stomach. Like in my muscle? I used to only get them every once in awhile but now it's happening daily. Could it just be I'm not drinking enough water? RLP? They almost feel like a Charley horse.
@Hannah0726 I've had the same thing for two or three weeks now. It usually happens when the baby pushes his head on a nerve, it shoots up and down and hurts so bad. My doctor said it's normal, just the muscles and joints getting loose and nerve endings being hit. No fun!
My DH said my lips (on my face!) were swollen this am.
Totally random. Anyone else?
Yup my lips are slightly swollen as well. It's the only thing on my body that looks cute swollen at the moment.

Feel emotional and cry at times.. woke up last night to some pains in my lower part of my stomach which lasted a little until I went back to sleep. it's feels over 101 here in DC/VA/MD area so I'm chugging plenty of water and feeling blessed there is a/c.
I don't think my lips are swollen, but I am swollen just about everywhere from the insides of my nose to my toes. Yesterday my feet were extra puffy by noon, and it wasn't from a bunch of standing... nope, just existing all morning and going to church without having my feet elevated all morning. Any my blood pressure is always normal. Yayyyy pregnancy.
I'm getting these strange cramp like contractions every 20 minutes or so, lasting a couple of minutes. I've had some premature / prodromonal labor issues where contractions felt like they were tearing me in half and my belly went rock hard. This is not that. It kinda feels more like I'm about to get my period, and if I look closely I can see my belly tightening. It hurts about the same level as a period, so not bad at all. Does this sound like BH? I'm just worried it might be the start of the return of that UTI.
Honestly I am relieved to NOT be having "double over screaming" contractions for once!
@Allisun85 - I've had those fairly frequently over the last couple weeks, worse at night. FTM, so I have no idea what it is. I'm almost 38 weeks, about where you are. Urine sample looked fine at the OB visit last Weds., and I wasn't dilated at all. I'd definitely keep an eye on the timing and ask the doc.
@Allisun85 - those still sound like contractions. They don't have to hurt to be real contractions. And any contraction that doesn't lead to a baby is considered Braxton Hicks (according to my doc). I'd still time them if they are frequent enough and don't die down with water and rest.
@curls919 Now watch, after all he has put me through he'll arrive in the world with no fuss, and an easy labor. (Hey universe, I'm cool with that!)
Please, I've had so many worries about this kid coming early that I was on extra progesterone, got the steroid shots, etc. I'm convinced that I'm going to have to be induced after my due date because of all the worry.

Same! Had some PTL at 32w and got out in modified bedrest with progesterone suppositories and steroid shots. I'm now 36w and off progesterone but no sign that LO is coming anytime soon. I think she'll stay in til due date or after now, just because.

Had increased watery discharge all day and definitely started losing my mucus plug (sorry, TMI). I know it means nothing, but I'm still secretly hoping it means baby will be on time or a teeny bit early. I'm not at all mentally prepared to be still pregnant in September.
