Guys... my husband is home tonight. We put e to bed at 730 and while hubby did dishes I went for a 2 mile run...alone (usually have jogging stroller), and blasted some Drake as I ran. Boo yea.
Offline all day since we are on a mini-vacation, but just skimming through.
My random: I feel like I smell like spoiled breastmilk. Like that smell after you've leaked and you didn't change your nursing pad soon enough. But, as far as I can tell, I am not actually leaking. Anyone else having this happen? It's playing mind games on me!
Congrats Auntie @Thscary! That's fantastic news and so excited for your little one to have his best buddy out and ready to welcome him in a couple months.
As most of you know, my DD has had an issue with biting at daycare. They told me yesterday that they moved her to the pre K room when they have a bad day, and she's perfect when she's in there, never aggressive at all and plays with the other kids. So as her mother who thinks she's perfect, ive come to the conclusion that she's just really, really mature and gets frustrated when dealing with babies... Bahahaha
Honestly though, I'm just super relieved that they're finding something that works because I'm feeling hopeless.

We've had some behavioral issues with my daughter lately too. She's in the young preschool room usually and has been spending more time in the regular preschool room and is doing really well there. I'll go with the ultra mature explanation too.
My 17 monther just ate a whole packet of instant oatmeal with half a banana mashed added in. Lately he's been just picking at food at home (yet eats tons at daycare). Good start to our day! Let's hope he's feeling cooperative at my appointment in an hour
A new location of a maine sub/pizza type place just opened in my town (even through there's on a few miles away). This one has a drive thru window for call-in orders. That just made this mama extra happy... ftms will soon learn the beauty of a drive thru when you've got kiddos (possible asleep) on car seats:) Also, waiting on a hdbd thread as I remembered a pic for the first time in weeks
@AnnaS930 Love that you brought up the amazingness that is the drive thru when you're a mom of a little one. I want a pop so bad today, and also need gas. The logical thing is to pick up the pop at the gas station. I'm debating making a second stop at a fast food place for the pop just to utilize the drive thru. Or I may just go to Target... we need toilet paper soon, and I could window shop.
@AnnaS930 Yes!!! I get so sad sometimes and argue with myself in my head as to if we are going to stop at Jersey Mikes to pick up dinner. No drive through and I will have to carry 3 subs, chips and drinks + DD to the car. But it's so good. Vinegar is my life.
I have my a/s in 4 hours and cannot concentrate! Trying to do some mindless (and long overdue) housework to pass the time. Will be my second viewing of my baby since 8w6d and my fiance's first!!
@LizC216 I'm definitely leaning towards Target. Even though that defeats the idea of not having to get my daughter out of the car. Target is worth it, and she's a little shopper, so she'll enjoy it, too.
There is a really high chance that I will be exceeding my caffeine limit today. Last night LO decided to cry all night and not sleep. The only way we got him to calm down and sleep was to rock him in the chair. He would far asleep for an hour or so, then struggle to get comfortable and start crying. I probably got about 5 hours of constantly interrupted sleep.
@camichael84 I totally understand. There are some days I can't even think of getting my girls out of the car no matter how much we love Target. That's when I get my pop from the McDonald's drive thru.

@LizC216 I prefer pop from the soda machines instead of a bottle or can. If I'm having an 'I need pop now!' moment I go to McDonalds or Wendys or something and get it from there. Wherever I get it from it best be Coke none of this Pepsi stuff. :-p
@AnnaS930 Having a drive-thru or not is often a deciding factor for me when determining what to bring home for dinner! The only issue is that recently, DD has learned the fun of "ressarants" and gets SO upset when we go through the drive-thru instead of going in, haha!
why did I buy a whole BAG of Dove sea salt caramel dark chocolates? There is no way this bag is going to last until tomorrow. So much for the extra exercise I've been doing this week.
Trigger warning, maybe. But for those who have been trolling other BMBs for birth stories:
I have a friend from my April 13 BMB who is in August 16 BMB. Someone just had her baby at 25 weeks! Apparently he's doing OK and breathing on his own.
@PSUBecky23 - So scary! Thank God he's breathing on his own though! Hoping that things only get better from here for him and mom!!
Ladies, it's baby shower day!! I still get weirded out about all the attention but, let's be honest, baby shower day is definitely exciting. I my work family!!
thanks @camichael84 He is usually a really good sleeper, but when he refuses to sleep it lasts all night long. For the more challenging parenting moments my husband has a mentality of "let's handle this together as a team" which is great except for when DS is up all night. We can't both be up all night with the kid - it is better to take shifts so we can each get some sleep. We identified pretty early on that this would be an all night fight. I took first shift and I only had to send DH back to bed twice. Then around 2:30 AM I got to sleep more-or-less uninterrupted until 6:30.

WTH, mine did too! No idea why. She screamed and screamed. She wasn't up the whole night, but I was up most of it because every time she moved or breathed too loudly, I thought, "oh God. She's awake again." And just couldn't shut my brain off.
We found out H's brother and wife (due two days after us) are going to have a girl! They did a cake reveal and we got to skype in and feel like we were there.
ugh. I've been trying SO HARD to eat healthier this past week, but I just cannot shake the desire to walk to the gas station, grab a giant candy bar, a big ol soda, and enjoy. Hopefully this day goes by quickly - I'm losing my will power fast!
@LakeR2014The weirdest thing!? When it comes to Coke vs Pepsi, I never had a preference...until I was pregnant with DD. A Coke was the best thing ever. And kind of opened the doors to me on "cola" sodas in general. After I had her, Coke didn't taste the same anymore - was too carbonated and had a "spiced" after taste I didn't care for so I found I preferred Pepsi. I became a die-hard Pepsi fan (especially after sleep-deprived nights because I'm not a coffee-drinker). Now, since I've been pregnant again, Pepsi is way too sweet - I feel like I'm drinking syrup and can't stand it!! But a Coke, on the other hand? Amazingness! It is SO strange!
@JennM205That is so funny! I've been a Coke fan forever simply because Pepsi always tasted too sweet for me. Thankfully pregnancy hasn't changed that, but the moderation I have it at now makes me appreciate the fizzy, carbonated goodness of a Coke machine. If I really want a Coke, I'll splurge for the $1.50 McD coke instead of the $.99 2 liter from the store, lol.

Yup, this is a thing. So another excuse to eat a Reese's, or 12.
And I love a Reese (my kid) everyday
