@Sbrown721 I get that a lot being in Colorado. I grew up in Illinois which is predominately Bears country, so even then I was always the odd one out. Thank goodness for NFL Sunday Ticket!
@COmama87 I live in IL now so I feel you...it's tough being a Packer fan in Bears country!! Though I admit it's been easier in recent seasons since the Bears have been so bad...makes the Bears fans hold it against me a little less that I'm not on their side. Like, if they had a choice (and didn't have to be loyal) they might not be Bears fans, either, haha.

I'm a Bills fan. I know how the Bears fans feel......
@JennM205 I do have to hand it to Chicago sports fans (Bears and Cubs) they are loyal to some pretty terrible teams! Well I guess the Cubs are having a decent start this season..but I'm a White Sox fan. Thankfully DH is also a Sox fan or I don't know how we would make this work lol. He's a Baltimore Ravens fan (how that happened I don't even know)...the poor guy
This thread really got random with all the soda vs pop talk lol. You guys are awesome.
Also had a great 24w appointment today! I gained the 3lbs that @AnnaS930 was able to stay away from but my overall gain is still great so the doctor didn't care (although I did, I'll have to start turning around on the scale). DH came with which was great because he only comes for the ultrasound ones and this one was right at lunch time. Great day overall!
Went to Target on my break. I am trying to eat healthy to make up for yesterday's cookie binge. I bought a box of Kind bars and I think I'm eating bird seed.
Cameron is walking now! she is 13.5 months. I have to admit I was getting a little anxious that she didn't want to start but she has been cruising all day today
and miss Deklyn decided she is over baths and just wants to take showers now. So glad I'm having one more baby, I don't want the baby years to end quite yet.
@PSUBecky23 I do think the Bills have had it worse than Philly....4 superbowls in a row with no win
@LakeR2014 I grew up outside of Albany. It was always soda for us, but for my family in Buffalo it was always pop. I've only ever known lollipops to be lollipops. I wonder if they call them suckers?
Ugh can I just gush for a min? My best friend is one of the two first female marines to be in charge of artillery unit-- just finished the training for it. I'm so proud of her. She is seriously breaking boundaries
I do graphic design when work is available to earn a little discretionary "fun money" and just finished a small (about an hour's work) job for DH's employer.
I originally billed for $50, because I never know what to charge them (we've gone through this in the past). DH put down $75 (reasons unknown; he was probably being nice but it's possible he just forgot the amount I quoted) and submitted it to his boss, who rejected it...and wrote in $150 instead.
@PSUBecky23 I hear ya! South Jersey girl here and this is Philly sports country. At least the 76ers got the first pick in the draft so they finally lost right?
Also, it's soda, caffein free coke zero is my favorite treat (unrelated medical issue means no caffein for me), and I call all candy on a stick "lollipop."
I recently learned that the night before Halloween isn't called mischief night in other parts of the country, and that threw me pretty hard!
@MojieJo that's awesome!! I do graphic design work here and there too and would've probably quoted the same as you did for an hour's work so that's a nice surprise! I don't know your DH but I know mine would've bumped it up to $75 thinking I was doing it for too little
I'd have been happy with $50, but this is great! I've gotten into the habit of not spending money on myself (I used to be a big shopper), so it'll be nice to have the money to buy something nice without guilt if I find something I want.
Popping in... @Geminigirl25 where in Canada are you?
We we call it pop here, suckers mostly, I have never really been into watching football... Or any sport for that matter!
I got my hair cut today and I HATE IT. It's way too short. My hair was down to past my bra strap, and now it's chin level. I could cry. It was the point of no return once she did the initial cut.
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
In maine. Soda. Diet Pepsi over anything coke (but Dr. Pepper over all) Lollipops, never suckers. Diehard sox fan... RED Sox. In Patriots nation but can't stand the fans, husband is a cowboys fan so that's where I am too. It's a difficult team to enjoy.
No one has it as bad as Philadelphia sports fans *hangs head in shame*
Except maybe Cleveland Browns fans..... *slowly raises hand* Family is originally from Ohio so it's been ingrained into me from birth. My love for the Vikes is by marriage. Lol.
After 4 weeks of relatively healthy eating (though I indulged relatively often) we had Five Guys for dinner (emmett ate his weight in fries), and I just made husband and I chocolate mug cakes with a pb molten center... with a scoop of fat free strawberry froyo. YUMMMMMM. slipping into a junk food coma, back on track tomorrow!
@UnwritteN12 DH is from a county in IN that boarders OH. His whole family are Bengal fans (except him... he is a Jags fan for reasons only he knows), but there are quite a few Browns fans in the area as well. I always would kind of wonder how anyone outside of Cleveland stuck it out with the Browns.

DH is obsessed with all things Philly. Football season is the worst. Every year I hear things like "this is going to be a great year, we had a great off season" and every year it's the same old Eagles. I like the Jets, so I'm really not much better off.
At least the Phillies are having a decent season and Flyers made playoffs this year!

@Thscary- my husband does the same with the Cowboys. They'll be up big at halftime.. then quickly crumble in the second half of every game. It's hardly fun to watch with him
The circumcision thread made me realize that while I would have loved to have one of each, I am kind of relieved that I never have to make a decision on circing.

The only moment of being upset about having a boy last time was that I knew this would be an issue.. because I knew my husband's family (who is Jewish) would want to have a ceremony for the circumcision and I was absolutely not going to let that happen.
ETA: I also wanted to circumcise my son, so the decision was very easy to have it done. I wanted it done while in the hospital by my OB, not in my house by a mohel with family around. I won.
Now I tell myself that the $200 to have my son circed will be made back in the amount I save on toilet paper and feminine hygiene products in the teen years Silver linings!!
@Thscary@AnnaS930 That is also my husband with the Jags. He'll be so excited in the off season by who they pick up and how their draft goes. I've spent the last 8 seasons hearing that this year the Jags will be better. Then the first game of the season happens, they suck, and he instantly looses faith. I'm honestly relieved that we don't get Jag games aired here often or I'd be dealing with a moody, cranky husband almost every Sunday during football season.

Another reason why this team green thing is driving me crazy. I feel like I should be researching what we would do if we had a boy, but we don't know what we're having and if we end up having another girl, what a waste of time.
@AnnaS930 I never even considered the cost of a circumcision. When you're looking at $10,000 for a delivery (pre-insurance), $200 means very little. Haha. We would have very likely circed because DH wanted it that way. Like I've heard others on here say, he's got more experience having a penis than I do so I trust his judgement. I just remember being freaked out when my nephew was in the healing phase with his circumcision. Of course, this was after I'd already had McKenna, and she had a period-like bleed for a week postpartum, so it was very likely the unknown getting to me.
Also, what I'm spending in pads and tampons in the teenage years, you'll be spending on feeding two teenage boys.
@camichael84- OMG. You're beyond right. They're going to eat me out of house and home, no joke. Emmett goes through a lot of food and a gallon of milk every week. And he's at daycare 4 days a week where they are feeding him! WTF?!
Re: May Randoms Thread
GO PACK GO!!
Fountain pops are always better. I got my fix at Target today while my MIL watched the girls.
Diet Pepsi over Diet Coke. Coke over Pepsi. Wild Cherry Pepsi over Cherry Coke. I love pop.
Lollipops.
Sox and Bears fan. I didn't realize there were so many with IL connections on this board.
I think that covers it.
