I just woke up from DD crying and now I can't go back to sleep because all I can think about is food...and why I chose to look at this thread, I don't know. It is making me more hungry
For dinner tonight I ate veggie sushi (I miss the real thing!) and nachos. In my defense, the cheese was homemade vegan cheese dip (made with cashews, veggies, and spices). Since both items contained veggies I don't feel quite so bad. (In the meantime, SO ate a regular, adult meal).
Yesterday all I wanted was Butter Chicken. My craving was so bad that I got dh to take me to the Indian buffet where I downed 4 PLATES of it. All day today at work, I was still dying for more and I made it at home for dinner. I just can't get enough.
Apples dipped in crunchy peanut butter. HAS to be crunchy, no joke. Pasta covered in melted cheese. Movie popcorn.
I cooked salmon last week after thinking about it for days and telling hubby it was all I wanted. Pulled it out of the oven and it smelled like ass. Didn't want it anymore.
Yesterday, I really needed some chili, so I bought everything and made it today. When it came to dinnertime, I can hardly stand the thought of eating a single bite. So frustrating! My DH and daughter enjoyed it, but it looks like I'll be having my left over Twix bar for dinner.
@ash111916 I've been thinking of sushi for the past few weeks. Finally gave in to veggie sushi for lunch today. I still miss the real stuff.
I seriously have no idea how I will last 6 more months without real sushi. Being diagnosed with celiac disease right before getting pregnant (which already took away most things I normall eat) was hard enough, but not being able to eat the one celiac safe food I crave is even worse!
Is anyone else having trouble wanting to cook? I usually love cooking, but lately when I try to think about things to make, everything sounds so gross. I have started walking up to the grocery store and getting a salad and soup off the salad bar. Otherwise it would be takeout and fast food every meal! I just cleaned out all the leftover food in my fridge because I know I will never want to eat it. I am used to cooking up large batches of food and eating it all week. That is so not happening right now!
Well, I'm basically so sick I barf everything up. But most recently I've craved cheese and mushroom pizza without sauce. I'm surprised that i really like pizza without sauce.
@HeyBooHey So with you there. At 13w I'm just now easing back into it, but for weeks on end I could hardly open the refrigerator without getting sick. Cooking and baking are my two favorite hobbies, so it was a big surprise to me how little I've wanted to do either!
I'm with you on the not being able to cook/meal plan. I literally looked
at recipes for hours yesterday and eventually gave up because not one
thing sounded like something I wanted to cook or eat for this week.
Holy cow. I feel like I just had my stomach grow two sizes. I've been barely hungry the first trimester and here I am at 13w+3 and holy shit I've eaten so much today. Half an omlette in the morning, then gummy sharks, then a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese, then a fruit cup, and I just ate a cheesedog. So satisfying.
Right now I want buffalo sauce dumped on everything! Not dipped or drizzled... Like submerged in the sauce! ... I'm only using the food as a carrier for the buffalo sauce!
Normally I loathe spicy food but when I'm pregnant... It's on like donkey kong!!
I had breakfast with a friend and she mentioned Chick-fil-a and I needed it. I don't even really like it. I honestly cannot remember that last time I ate some. But I remembered they had Oreo shakes, so I made a detour on my way home. The chicken was ok, but that shake was glorious.
I just ate an entire container of strawberries immediately after finishing dinner (Greek chicken pita & Greek salad). I'm still hungry. Contemplating the bag of goldfish...and almost certainly polishing off the remainder of a pint of Cherry Garcia later. Honestly I feel like all I do is eat!
I had every intention of splitting my Mothers Day pint of Cherry Garcia between tonight and tomorrow night, but I just licked that pint clean in one sitting!
Dill pickles and crunchy peanut butter, together. I've always liked pickle and peanut butter sandwiches, but now I've completely dropped the bread and I'm spooning the peanut butter straight onto the pickles. I've eaten 4 today, and they're not small.
ETA: 1/2 bag of sour cream & onion pop chips. They are very good.
