Primrose Anne made her debut very quickly early Friday morning. 3.5 hours after my water broke she was here.
9 lbs and 21 in of baby delivered via very successful VBAC on Friday 6/17 at 4:52am.
We're both home and doing great. She's nursing like a champ and is finally letting me get some rest. Her two big sisters are so in love with her, as are we all!
At 41w pregnant I was induced and 23 hours later, I had my baby boy in my arms! Grayson Christopher was born on Father's Day (daddy is happy!) at 6:15pm. I never knew my heart was capable of a love this strong. It's like a whole new secret level of love that I didn't know existed until the second he came out. He's my favorite thing in the world and I'm completely obsessed. Daddy has been amazing and has changed every single diaper and is doing everything & anything to help take care of us! Happy momma over here
Lillyana Violet Marie Smith has arrived. Born 6-15-16 at 4:00pm via c-section, 7 lbs 9 oz, 20 in long. She is in the NICU for an unknown infection and sepsis but she is doing really well. Birth mom was discharged after just 2 days instead of 3. Our temporary placement paperwork has been signed and we just need to continue the paperwork process. All members of DH and I and BM and BF's families are happy and thrilled to have her here. Love her more than anything!

Andrew Rodney was born at 40w 5d on Thursday, 7:02am on 6/16/16 weighting 9lbs 5oz and 21" long. I went into labor on my own, and pushed for 10 minutes. He makes our family feel complete.
Lily Ann was born June 21st at 2:21pm via scheduled c section for being breeched. 39 weeks exactly and 9lbs even 20.5 inches. Both mommy and squishy bundle are doing great.
Finally done being pregnant! Woo hoo! Scarlett Belle was born 6/21, on her due date like her oldest brother. She was 8 lbs, 6 oz, also like her oldest brother! And 20.5 inches.
Long Birth Story (cause I love reading them) -
I felt extra crampy late Monday and continued our new nightly tradition of taking a walk. I thought there was a little mucus when I used the bathroom (not a ton - the nurse showed me my real "bloody show" on the pad during labor after they broke my water. Could have done without that! But, wow, yeah never seen that prior to labor starting before!!). I felt my first contraction around 11 pm and got very excited. They came throughout the night, around 12-15 min apart, but surprisingly strong. I knew I needed to hold out for awhile, so I just breathed through them quietly in bed, where my 2 year old had decided to join me.
I knew I should sleep, but it was hard with the excitement. I finally fell asleep around 4 am for an hour. When I woke up, it felt like my contractions stopped, but as soon as i climbed out of bed, they were back and getting closer. After a bath and getting dressed, we decided to head toward the hospital and possibly walk for a bit outside nearby, but by the time we got breakfast and got there, I felt we needed to get going inside. I was 5.5 cm (previously 4 at doc appt Friday) and they got me a room. I had considered trying for a med-free birth, but this reminded me why I always get the epidural I have nothing to prove!
Once I got the drugs, I was able to relax for a few hours, it was lovely. They checked me a few times, only 6.5 at first. The doc came by and broke my water, which got me to an 8. The nurse asked after another hour or so if I felt pressure and I said no. But then I told her I never felt any pressure with my other 2 either, so she decided to check me and I was complete! The doc took her time finishing with someone at the office since I felt no urge to push and once she came an hour later, it was 3 sets of pushes and she was out. Found out from the pedi that she has this hematoma under the bone on her head, which we hadn't even noticed, from pushing into my pelvis. So, I feel a little bad now for the time the doc had us waiting cause, though i may not have felt the pressure, she obviously did! Poor thing, but it's not supposed to be anything serious.
I only had one small tear with 2 stitches, which is better than my other two! I feel pretty good, other than the uterus contractions that happen when nursing, but the Motrin is good for those. Breastfeeding is going very well. Her brothers came to visit and my 4 yr old is obsessed with her. He didn't care about leaving us, but had to ask several times to be sure his baby sister would be coming home with us later. DS2 was a little interested in her and not as jealous or concerned as I feared, but he did pitch a fit when he had to leave mommy at the hospital :,-(
Overall, things went great and pretty much the way I had envisioned them! I even asked to look at my placenta for a second because it always gets swept into a bucket and I never had really seen one! It was super gross but pretty cool to check out for a second!
William Oliver born 21.6.16 at 20:47. 41 + 2 weeks. After weeks of prodromal labour pains and unsuccessfully membrane sweep he finally decided to come and meet us. Speedy and traumatic birth. I fully dilated from 3 cm within 42 minutes and pushed for 4 minutes! Placenta took the longest to come, 41 mins. 3rd baby.
Natalie Sue born June 23 at 6:09 p.m. Born at 39 weeks 4 days. 8lbs 6oz. Way bigger than her brother was. She came down quickly so she has some facial bruises, but other wise she is great. We are still working on the breastfeeding.
Asher Kane born 6-20-16 at 7:57pm. 8.5lbs, 20.5 inches, 41+3
Went in for my appointment Monday morning and had a successful NST but my doc was unable to find any amniotic fluid in an ultrasound, so we were immediately sent to the hospital for induction. Started dilated at a 2, so membrane sweep and pitocin to get things started at noon. Epidural at 6pm (dilated to 7), and he was here after three pushing contractions just before 8pm. Pretty awesome, smooth experience from start to finish. Also, going from a 21 hour first labor to an 8 hour second labor made it feel like a walk in the park!
Savannah Jane born 6:26pm 6/23 she is 8lbs4oz 21in and absolutely perfect! She is breastfeeding like a champ and mommy is recovering pretty well too! We are so in love!
Little Lincoln was born on 06/19/2016 (Father's Day) at 9:59am. He weighed in at 9lb4oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.
I checked in the night prior thinking my water had broken. It hadn't but when they did an ultrasound to check fluid levels (I was 40+6) they were borderline and the on call OB gave me the option to induce that night. I said yes and 8 hours later our dude was here. It was such a special day.
Zoey Rey was born 6/22/16 at 12:35pm weighing 8lb 14 oz. At 40w +3 I was induced with cervadil at 11:30 pm, started having mild contractions almost immediately and my water broke at 3am. After that contractions quickly got stronger and much closer together but was still only dilated 1cm. They started pitocin at 6am and I quickly dilated. Got an epidural at 9:30am after contractions became unbearable with back labor. After 1 hour of pushing baby Zoey finally joined us at 12:35 pm and is doing well.
Gabriel Sean was born at 7:10 pm on June 22nd. We are home now and doing well. He looks just like his big brother, only with a head of black hair instead of strawberry blonde. We're all in love and re-adjusting to life with a newborn.
Gavin Paul was born June 17 at 1:57 pm weighing 8 pounds and 13 ounces and measuring 19 inches long! We were supposed to be induced Saturday the 18, but thankfully little man had other plans! He had a clavicle fracture, which has already healed. Otherwise, he is doing great! My husband and I are so in love!
Margot Rae made her grand appearance at 4:42 am on June 25th (fashionably late to her June 24th due date) weighing in at 7 lb 14 oz and 21 inches long.
The 17 hours of labor and 2.5 hours of pushing were totally worth every second.
Briar Finlea was born 6-17 at 5:51pm weighing 5.14 and 18 1/2 inches long. I was induced at 39w1d. it was a pretty fast delivery for my first baby. 6 hours total. All back labor. Epidural wore off after an hour or 2.
I never posted Abigail Elise was born June 15th. I was induced at 39 weeks and she came into the world stressing me out. While contracting her heart beat was dropping off they had placed interior monitors so it meant her heart beat was actually slowing and stopping. I pushed for about 15 minutes and realized she was stuck. I could feel her move down in the beginning then nothing. I told the doctor I fealty something was wrong while looking at the monitor and her heart beat was still stopping. The doctor finally agreed to assist with the vac. That's when she came and we realized she was blue because the cord was around her neck, she got stuck because she was Sunnyside up. I was glad I stuck with my instinct. The cord was so tight she ended up with a bruise around the back of her neck. She was 7 lbs 8 ozs 20.5" long. Doctor said she was OK now that she was out.
Jack Finn arrived 6/29 at 41w 1d after failed TOLAC, via RCS due to fetal distress. Went for an NST and doc was seeing some deceleration on the HR monitor, so we agreed to go fwd with induction. They never increased the pit passed the smallest dose, and when my water broke on its own an hour in there was miconium. After monitoring with an internal monitor we realized he was not tolerating contractions, and after consistent HR deceleration we called it. So glad he is here safely and healthy!!! 9lbs, 10oz and 21 1/2", and his big sister is so in love with him
Beatrix Sierra was born Wednesday, 6/29, at 40w, 6d. She weighs in at 8 lbs, 9 ozs and is 20 inches long. She is my first baby and I am absolutely in love!
Went in for an induction on Tuesday night, which I wasn't looking forward to. I really wanted to avoid Pitocin if possible, but the doctors were concerned about Bea's size. When they hooked me up to the monitors, they discovered I was already having pretty regular contractions! I had one dose of ceverical ripening meds, and dilated from 0.5 cm to 4 cm in 3 hours. It was that point I gave in to the epidural. Heavenly!
Boring labor for the next 9 hours, and I was happy to progress without induction meds. Dialated to 10 cm at 1 pm and began pushing. Pushed for a whopping 4 hours! She was making progress dropping but it just was taking forever! Epidural machine got air in the line and stopped administering at hour 2 of pushing, and the guy was in the OR so I had to push the last 2 hours without it. Good God, people. I was not prepared for the pain!
Ended with a 2nd and 3rd degree tear and a perfect, healthy baby girl. I am over the moon (even if I still can't walk!)
Jack Leonard arrived on the morning of Tuesday, 6/28. A few hours after returning home from a membrane sweep and having just set an induction date, the contractions began. I labored outside, rocking in a chair until it grew dark. A storm was blowing in and the trees mesmerized me, and then there were these breathtaking a purple and pink clouds that floated by just around dusk. The image was enough to visualize as I moved my laboring inside to the nursery, where I continued to rock until around midnight. I knew it was time to head to the hospital, so I called my doula and then my OB. Immediately after, my water broke. We headed two miles down the road to the hospital, were admitted, and my previous state of relaxation had completely warn off. If it hadn't been for my very wonderful nurse and doula, I may have asked for an epidural, but the hypnobirthing CD got me back in my trance like state of relaxation (where I kept seeing those beautiful clouds). I rocked for hours in the delivery room. I didn't want to talk to anyone or be touched. I just listened to the CD and rocked. Then the doula suggested I change positions and shower, but immediately after getting to the shower I realized it was time to push. The doctor checked me and I was fully dialated. I pushed for two and a half hours, with the man delivering me acting much like a high school football coach at the end. I was exhausted, but I kept saying that it was for Jack. I had to do it for Jack, and then Jack was there at 9:28am, all 8lbs and 5oz of him-- and it was all worth it.
Brayden arrived on June 23 rd at 3:23 pm via scheduled section since he was a breech baby. He was 8 lbs 3 oz 21 inches long. I was originally scheduled for 12:30 however two emergency c sections bumped me to third in line. All babies were delivered safely and soon after I was holding our baby boy. He is incredible and we could not ask for more. I am healing well and getting to know him day by day. My happiest memory was seeing his dad hold him as his eyes welled up. Congrats June mamas and enjoy your squishy babies.
Acadia Estelle was born on 6/22/16 7:29p weighing 7lbs 15 oz and 21.25 inches long. I went for my 39 week dr's appt on the 21st and since my bp was still high the doctor sent me straight to the hospital for induction. The following day I dilated from 2cm to 8cm quickly but then no progress afterwards for 7 hours. She wouldn't drop down so the doctor said we had to have a c-section. Later we found out the cord was around her neck 3x, so it's probably a good thing she wouldn't drop down. We love her so much already!!!
Warning: Long story So I was convinced near the end of pregnancy that my son would come early, especially since we had to stop contractions at 33 weeks along. However, he ended up being late!! I had my midwife do a couple membrane sweeps, I was eating spicy food, I was so ready for him to come out..... I hit 41 weeks and I started getting regular, painful contractions and awful back labor but my water didn't break. I couldn't sleep either, so I went to triage Friday night and they gave me morphine because I was only dilated to a 2!! I continued laboring at home and took a shower Saturday and smelled something like maple syrup? I got out and felt a little gush... I didn't think anything of it since I had had a couple false alarms. I went and sat down in the living room, and another gush.... at this point I started to suspect it was my water breaking. Each time I moved, more water would gush out.... The contractions got stronger and I called my doula. She came over and I labored at home for another hour or so, then we headed for the hospital. I continued laboring in the middle of her van! When we got to the hospital I had bloody show, and my doula was certain I was a 7. I didn't like the hospital though, they made me sit in triage forever, waiting for a room. I was immensely uncomfortable. We finally got me a room and checked me... I was only at a 3!! (My doula thinks I stopped/reversed labor) They had to keep me though, since my water broke. I decided to labor in the tub for a bit, but it didn't help. I couldn't get comfortable and couldn't take the pain anymore, especially with back labor. I called in the epidural. I labored some more but with no further progress. My midwife decided to put me on pitocin since my uterus was exhausted after 4 days, I wasn't changing and water was broke. However I only made it to a 7, after laboring for hours... At that point the doctors found merconium, they couldn't up my pitocin any more without fetal distress, and I was stuck at 7. The decision was made to do a c section. I was wheeled in to the OR, and they started checking me to make sure I had enough meds. Well apparently after 14 hours with the epidural in, it wasn't working well enough anymore. I could still feel.... So they decided to give me a spinal block. Bending up on the table was excruciating for my back pain... they laid me back and I felt numbness spreading, but it kept going, up to my chest. I couldn't feel myself breathing anymore. I started freaking out, thrashing around, croaking for help. The staff was telling me I was breathing, but I couldn't feel a thing and kept gasping for help. Then I hear them yelling that my oxygen is dropping and I passed out. The next thing I know, I'm back in my room recovering, and I hear a baby cry. They brought him over and laid him on my chest and they helped me start nursing. He was born 10 days late, on July 3rd at 6:42pm. He weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Apparently they had to perform an emergency c section - they saved my baby first, and general anesthesia thankfully didn't get to him... However I lost a lot of blood because I was hemorrhaging. They put me on bags of fluids, iron, etc to try and patch me up, and I'm STILL slowly losing the bad edema from all the bags of fluids. I'm insanely crazy over this baby of mine, and he's my entire world. I'm so thankful he made it ok, and I'm thankful I'm ok too.
Lilah Kathleen Nelson came on June 29th at 1:41am weighing 7 pounds 15 oz and was 20.5 inches long! I was 4 days overdue on Tuesday morning when I woke up to my water breaking and bloody show. I was barely a finger tip dialated so they started inducing with what I think was Cytotec. It was progressing at an okay speed but when my doctor stopped by to check my cervix he noticed my water wasn't broken even though I had been having gushes so he broke it and that's what the contractions got unbearable and things sped up. I got an epidural at around 4 cm which was the best decision of my life because shortly after my contractions started getting much worse by what I could see on the machine next to me. Two hours later my nurse wanted me to get some sleep and try laying on my left side but I felt so uncomfortable and started complaining about pressure on that side. She checked and I had completely dilated to a 10 within those two hours and soon after I started pushing which lasted about an hour and a half and our sweet little girl was born! It's been a rough two weeks adjusting to life with a newborn but we're completely in love with her and so happy to finally have her here.
Lucas Christopher arrived 9 days late on June 29th at 12:18am after 15 hours of labor and a last minute C-section. He was 10 lbs 3 oz and 22.25 inches.
Induction started at 8:30 am on the 28th and my water was broken and Pitocin was started. Started at 3.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Labored for a few hours and then got the epi after contractions began to feel painful. Did not progress very quickly, about 1 cm an hour. In the evening, I started to have really bad back labor and extreme pressure in my butt. The epi did nothing to relieve the pressure and I stalled at 8 cm for 3 hours. After some decels with the baby and moving to other positions, I finally progressed to a 9, but the back labor was so painful that they reduced the pitocin from 20 to 12 and upped the epi. It only helped a tiny bit. After another cervical check, I was still at a 9 (this was around 10pm) and my cervix had started to swell. Because of this and the pain I was feeling, my OB started to talk to me about getting a c section if this continued. She went over the whole procedure and answered all of my questions. She said she would check me again in 45 min and if there was no progress, we would do a section. Welp, there was no progress and my cervix had actually started to swell even more so around 11:30 that night, the decision was made to do the section and everything happened very quickly. Pitocin stopped, another epi administered, prepped for surgery, DH got scrubs on, and that was that. Lucas was born at 12:18 am (less than an hour after we decided to do the section!). He came out cooing and started to cry after they cleaned him off. DH and I both cried. Everyone in the operating room was shocked at how big he was (we knew he would be big, but not THAT big). DH was able to hold him and show him to me. I couldn't hold him because I had extremely bad shakes from the epi (which was normal). DH left with baby Lucas while they cleaned me out and closed me up, which seemed to take forever. Finally got to recovery where I was able to hold Lucas for the first time and this helped my shakes go away and helped his temp regulate. Recovery has not been terrible and Lucas is back up to birth weight. He's fussy at times, but is super cute. We couldn't be happier!

Eta: Time & date
