Girl scout cookies. Why is this the first time I've had them?
What!!!!????
What kind did you have? Were they amazing? (Let me live vicariously through you for a few moments as my GS Cookies were gone within two days this year...)
Also - Hi guys! I've been SWAMPED at work these last few days and have barely had time to jump into any of the conversations. I miss all day bumping. Hopefully things will get better next week. In the meantime, don't forget me! Lol
Totally just set my dvr to record a birth story. Never seen it but it needs to be in my life. Does anyone else watch "call the midwife"? A new season is about to start and I'm pumped!

@mhilpisch10 I love Call the Midwife! I catch it on Netflix though. I'm a sucker for british dramas but I love births and it's such a great show!
I used to watch A Baby Story all.the.time when I was younger, my family was sick and tired of me watching it every chance I got. Babies, kids, births and all that good stuff are my jam, y'all.
ETA: I'd probably still watch A Baby Story all day if I could!
So I was wondering if ya'll can help me with something. DH will be having his 40th birthday 19 days before our due date. He didn't want a surprise party (not that I would have listened) but I would have taken us on a surprise vacation since I know he would have loved that. So now I am not sure what to do for his birthday this year with the baby's impending arrival. Any ideas on how to make his 40th a day to remember being 37 weeks pregnant?

We have two boxes of Thin Mints, 1 of Do-Si-Dos, 1 of Trefoils, and 1 of Samoas. I have eaten the entire box of the do-si-dos and the kids are making short work of them trefoils. Yes, they were amazing. Which is why I ate a whole box.
Ha! Sort of? I was never in girl scouts nor do I ever remember meeting somebody who was. We're in a pretty rural part of the country so maybe that's why.

Plan a surprise vacation for a few weeks earlier or a few weeks later? If he'd love a surprise vacation, and you have the means, I say do that!

Do you live close to a big city where you could do a stay-cation? We are just outside of Chicago and did a stay-cation in Chicago for our five year anniversary. Dinner, stayed in a hotel, some shopping. It was amazing. You'd have to see what you're feeling like, but it could be fun.
I also started watching One Born Every Minute this afternoon, it's a British reality show set on the maternity ward. So far I would recommend that too if you can get past the accents!

They had an American version when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2011-2012. It took place in an Ohio hospital (I think). I was addicted to it. Although, 1 episode gave me unnecessary anxiety about shoulder dystocia.
We rented "The Hateful Eight" from Redbox last night. We were both so excited, because we didn't get to see it in the theater and are huge Tarantino fans.
... We ended up turning it off about an hour and a half in. So disappointing! Almost 3 hours of constant "n-bombs" and dialogue. Which normally is my favorite thing about Tarantino movies, but this one felt so bloated and self-indulgent. Blah.
Oh my god WE HAVE TO BE FRIENDS!
I thought I wrote this post until I realized I didn't.
@runningisrad not a fan of hateful eight either. It just went on and on... We fast forwarded and still didn't see anything worth watching so shut it off.
I got invited to a wedding reception 13 days before my due date about 3 hrs from where I live. I'm considering risking it.
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
My first was born 12 days late, my second was born on his due date, third was 13 days early. Maybe this baby will come just before and I can go with a newb haha. My concern is that I progress extremely quickly after my water breaks. So I may not have time to get to my hospital or my husband. I'll probably decide against it when I get closer to that time.

I forgot to drink water in the last two days (we were on vacation, a mini baby moon!) and today I had the most excruciatingly painful headache ever (it even woke me up at 3am). I had to call in sick to work, even though I really wanted to come in and get things done. Moral of the story: don't forget to drink water.
I did this today and also sweated on a long walk with my toddler. Trying to make up for it now, but the headache is here and I don't see it leaving until I am fully hydrated and get sleep. Ugh.
Yeah I think Tarantino should've stopped after "Pulp Fiction". It's like he lured me in with that movie (is still one of my faves) and then shit the bed on all the others. So disappointing.
The boy or girl double post gal is kind of cracking me up. I'm not brave enough to post a bit of snark, but i applaud those who have.
In bed early tonight, wishing I could have a drink to take the edge off this damn headache. Would like to have some girlfriends over too. DH just isn't getting me tonight and I'd rather lie in bed bumping than keep hanging out and being frustrated that he doesn't get what it's like to be pregnant (which isn't really his fault since it's impossible, etc)
anyway. I guess I'm feeling whiney. Three cheers for a fresh start tomorrow!

I could have written these exact words! I had such a long stressful day at work and then school and am feeling so drained.
Have an appointment with my OB in the morning and if all goes well I am telling my work afterwards. I don't anticipate them to be happy at all to hear I am pregnant and it's stressing me out and taking some of the joy out of this.
Crossing my fingers the appointment goes well and my work takes the news better than I expect.

LOL!! Yes!! I was seriously so sad. My husband and I just looked at each other like.... Did we REALLY just turn off a Tarantino movie?!?!

Pulp Fiction is still my favorite, but I do love Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds. And I also dug Death Proof.

I hate Tarantino. Every movie. We went with a group of friends to see Inglorious Basterds in college.. I left the theater and just sat in the hallway waiting for it to be over. I've never hated a movie so much in my life.. and I've seen some pretty terrible movies.
I was hoping that by booking my OB appointment first thing in the morning they would be more on time....nope! Been waiting more than 30 minutes, I am going to be so late for work
@geminigirl16- dang!! That usually worked well for me in my last pregnancy, though a couple times I'd be sitting there for 10 minutes and see my OB rush into the office with her coffee and give me a smile saying "Let me settle in and we'll be right with you!" Ugh.
My husband is off today and tomorrow - hoping he gets lots of prep work done on the spare room -> nursery conversion (need to sand a mural off of a wall and get new paint up for starters!).
After my shower I was lotioning up the boobs which have been a bit dry and I thought - man! These are great boobs, I'm putting these to work! So we had a little morning action. Good start to the day. Maybe he'll be in a good mood and get extra work done??

Yes to all of these and I also really like Django Unchained. He didn't write in enough badass female characters like I normally see in his films. I thought Hateful 8 started out okay, and then it was just blood, blood, campy dialogue, cussing, more blood, killing, cussing, killing, cussing, slow gruesome death scenes, the end. DH said it was more similar to Reservoir Dogs, which I also didn't like. He actually fell asleep and I made myself watch it until the end. Oh my lord, I thought it would never end. The ending itself was like another hour tacked on to the film.
I think I'll do my Friday confession early...while I know of Tarantino by name, I don't think I could tell you the names of any of his movies and I definitely have not seen any of the ones named in this post.
I've never been a big movie person. So maybe the bigger confession is that so many classic movies that people talk about, I have never seen.

I think I need to watch Django again. I loved the acting, and liked the movie overall but I didn't love it. I have only seen it once, though, so I think I need to watch again. And Hateful 8 was just... It had some really good visuals, and I love the cast. It was just so excessive, though. I LOVE Reservoir Dogs (so damn quotable), but this one fell way short for me. So sad. Much fail. Wow.

I love movies. I love everything about them. I love talking about them, watching them, watching them again, and watching them again. My favorite movie is Jurassic Park. Loves me some velociraptors.

Ya'll have been having the sexy dreams (was having a ton but I fear I've passed the sexy dream portion of the show) and I've moved on to nightmares. I mean, ultimately, everything turned out ok. But the fear that you feel when someone tells you that one of your babies heart rates has dropped - and the OB refuses to do a C-section - is real, whether in real life or in a dream! Arg! And now I'm even more impatient for my US on Monday.
Awesome side note though - the maternity shirts that I ordered came yesterday. Yay! And can I just tell you that I love "modeling" new clothes for my kiddos! They are so sweet...."Mamma, I love that color. You look so pretty." And I just realized that, between my hot pink shirt and my hot pick zip up I look like a bottle of Pepto-Bismol. I might be ok with that.
