  • I just scored jackpot and saw that MTV Live is showing the Backstreet Boys/NKOTB tour. I was about to get up and pour a glass of wine. I love those random split seconds where I forget I'm pregnant.

The NKOTB members are so much hotter than Backstreet Boys.

This and also stuck in the box.
  • That scene with Sansa was the best of the night. I almost went into labor by the excitement ;)

@tgortney PLEASE NO!!! Saving GoT for my maternity leave, please please please don't make me have to cover my eyes when I'm bumping to try to avoid spoilers!! Just had this huge battle at work and finally got people to agree no spoilers/talking about GoT!

ETA: Or at least start a separate thread so it's easy to avoid rather than being mixed in with everything else
    Oops sorry!!  :o
  • Ditto the new thread idea...it'll be awhile before I get a chance to catch up too!

Am I the only person in the world who hates GOT? Hubby is currently watching and I couldn't stand it so I left. I feel bad, but I really cannot get into that show!
    MAYBE ;)

It's literally the only show I keep up with, otherwise, I don't watch TV. I actually didn't even binge watch it. I watched every episode season by season like some barbarian
  • @vinerie I haven't even thought about watching it. Since we have a toddler we pretty much stick to comedies (Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces, and the Goldbergs) because you can miss a few minutes and be ok.
  • @wsgjmw1 me too!! Except it is really making it real! Lol

I watched the first episode and wasn't into it. I'm kind of weakling when it comes to gratuitous violence and have never been huge into that whole genre...so you're not alone- there are officially two of us who don't care about GOT.

I know my efforts have been sad for a while. I finally made my last visit to the waxing salon this afternoon (well, I guess it was yesterday afternoon, now). God only knows how that whole area is going to look by the time I go back.
  • @JoMunson and @Merciel you are making me rethink my decision to boycott all grooming in that area.  Time to save up energy for that giant task.  Sigh

Hate might be too strong a word, but I have zero interest! Fortunately hubby could care less and we don't have cable, much less HBO, so I don't have to leave the room ;)

We don't have cable or HBO, either. We've got Apple TV and I use my parents' password like a total mooch. We watch movies on HBO, but it's times like these that I wish we didn't have it.

For me, I dislike the whole "fantasy" genre. Dragons, swords, three-eyed crows...ugh! Give me Parks &Rec or Orange is the New Black over GOT any day!
We mooch HBO from my parents too!

im not a "fan" of GoT but husband is. When we dated I binge watched the first 2 (or 3) seasons in prep for the next premier. I knew how much he loved the show and thought that would give us some bonding time every Sunday night. I'm also not a fan of the fantasy genre (I don't like Harry Potter.., gasp) but some of the characters and their story lines have grown on me.

I don't watch GOT either, I like fantasy but not the extreme violence. Violence is also why I don't watch shows like the Walking Dead... but I do like Daredevil and Jessica Jones.  I just look away at the bad parts. :p

I also dislike Harry Potter!! DH just listened to all the audio books and got realllly into it. Like, he would cook dinner and play the audio book instead of music. Ugh, it was like nails on a chalkboard for me. He finished the books about a week ago and I was so relieved!

  • @kbrands7 I think the first couple of seasons were worse with gratuitous nudity. Boardwalk Empire was the same way. I don't know if HBO does that to lure in male viewers and get people talking then tone it down or what. Now it seems we only see boobs once per episode and there is some context to the nudity compared to 20+ times of random hot girl boobs in the earlier seasons.

This. It made it so hard to get into in the beginning. Even DH said it was a bit much. LOL. I can deal with what is shown now though.

this made me laugh... I did some at home grooming a week ago and DH started calling me "patches."
