    Hello! My name is Sharlene I'm 21.  :'(  :'(:'(
I never knew trying to get pregnant could be so hard. I've been ttc (trying to conceive) for about 5 months and every month failed. My cycle length is never the same (28 day cycle). My cycles
    -December .16, 2015 (25 length)
    -January 9, 2016 (33 length)
    -February 10, 2016 (29 length)
-March 9, 2016 (27 length) I've called my doctor the week I thought I would be ovulating and she told me that was my week so me and my fiance had sex almost that whole week. Now we're in April and AF (aunt flow) arrived on the 4th. I'm look at the apps I have and the internet for when I might ovulate for this month and everything says the 17th. Can you help me figure out when I might be ovulating so I can get on the road to motherhood. :#
      <3
Most of those apps just assume you are going to ovulate in the middle of your cycle, which is not necessarily true, especially given you have a varying cycle length. I suggest reading the Newbie Guide pinned at the top of the board for info on temping/charting because that is much more accurate. I also recommend reading the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility because it goes into a lot more detail about all of this.

    Hi everyone,
I'm TTC starting now 9took last BCP yesterday!) so I'll see how my cycle is and is it will get back to normal after almost 3 years on birth control. I've been married since 2012 <3 to my awesome hubby, and we have a son who will be 3 in June.  :) I'm also using the Ovia Fertility app, and find it very helpful with tracking symptoms, cycles, etc. :)

    Hello everyone!!
I'm excited to say DH and I are FINALLY officially TTC :) I started charting in January, went through an egg donation cycle beginning in February and had the retrieval surgery yesterday morning. Just waiting for my period to come and I'll begin temping and tracking CM again. Our baby fund is where we want it to be and emotionally we're ready.
    Here we go!

I guess I'm gonna do this...

Hello all. I'm 29 and H is 31. TTC #1. My mirena was removed late August and my periods worked themselves into a normal by November/December ish.
In preparation I've been lurking since last June. Read TCOYF and a few other books, and been charting with FF since the mirena came out. Since I've been a creeper this long I figured I'd finally introduce myself.

Look forward to forward to being interactive with everyone.

    Hello.

I've been lurking around these message boards periodically since July last year when I found out I was pregnant for the first time. Sadly, that pregnancy ended in missed miscarriage at 13 weeks (baby stopped growing at 11 weeks 2 days). It's been hard recently because that baby was going to be due last week.

Despite the advice of the doctor we saw at the time (who neither of us liked and won't be returning to), and after lots of reading on the Internet from MANY different sources, we started trying again right away - in October. My thought was that if my body was ready it would happen and if it wasn't it wouldn't...and I couldn't live with 'wasting' two cycles if by chance it wouldn't be easy to conceive again. This ended up being the case, so I'm glad we did it.

It's April now and we have yet to get a positive pregnancy test, and every month I get a little bit more anxious. Almost everyone we know is either expecting a baby or already has one or two - isn't that always the case? This month I have started using ovulation test strips, and I got my first positive Ovulation test this morning, so we are crossing our fingers for this to be the lucky month now that we know our timing will be dead on.

My my husband just turned 28 and I am 27 and we both can't wait to be parents. We have two dogs too that have helped comfort us in the loss last year, but we really want a tiny human!! I periodically buy things that are somewhat cheap and neutral because I believe it will happen again...hopefully soon. I look forward to reading and connecting with all of you. Thanks :-)

Hello! I'm 32 and my husband just turned 37. We've been waiting until we were ready and have finally reached a point where we're ready. Our careers are in good places now and we're coming up on our 5th anniversary. We've had a lot of great times with just us and a dog but we're looking forward to expanding our family. We just started trying in March.

Welcome to the board :) Most of the ladies on here track their cycles with the Fertility Friend app. I would highly recommend it. If you like Ovia you could use them both, although Ovia and the other fertility apps out there generally assume you will ovulate around the typical CD14 and can't actually adapt to the information you enter, which can be inaccurate for most women.

If you are temping and add that information to fertility friend it will work out you ovulation day, and even if you aren not temping it can make a decent prediction on ovulation going by your other signs. This helps to maximise your chances each month.

    Hi All!

I'm 26 and my husband is 33. We have a 2 year old daughter born in January 2014. I work as a Project Manager for an IT company and my husband is in shipping/receiving for a packaging company. We also have 1 fur baby, dog, that is about 5 years old. We decided to start trying for baby #2 awhile ago but had difficulty taking out my Mirena. Long story short, I just had it surgically removed and we are back on track to start trying without anything standing in our way. Yay! Our daughter was a surprise to us, although we couldn't be more thankful for her, so this TTC is pretty new to us.

I'm excited to meet all you ladies and hear about everyone's journey! Good luck everyone!

EDIT: P.S. -- I'm not sure how to edit my signature yet.. I swear I am not 155 week pregnant ;) I'll get it fixed soon.

Hi, I've been lurking on the bump since December when we found out we were pregnant after 6 months of trying. Unfortunately I lost the baby 2 months ago. We waited for one cycle then started TTC again. I have PCOS and I'm 34 tomorrow, so I know there are challenges for us to successfully become parents. I just hope we have better luck next time.

Our life is good but we want a child so badly.

Hoping these boards get us through this tough time! X

Hey yall! I have been a member for a couple months now. However, this is my first time posting. I am  29 and my DH is 31. We have been married for almost six years. We have been TTC since December 2015. It has been an up hill battle. Soon after we started TTC I became very sick in late January 2016. It took four doctors and 1.5 months to diagnose me. My DH and myself went to South America so my Doctor advise us to stop trying until I was tested for the Zakaria virus. Idk if you would call it a blessing or a curse but I was diagnosed with C'Diff. Yes, I know it is gross but I had to be on a very strong antibiotic for a month so we stopped TTC until I was cleared by the doctor. Needless to say it has been an emtional Rollercoaster.

In March 2016 I was given the clear to start TTC again which made me very happy. My doctor also thinks I have endometriosis. I go back in 4 months to talk about exploratory surgery. I have heard stories where woman have had a successful pregnancy with endometriosis but I am very impatient. I do not think my DH and I have been trying long enough to explore surgery but we will see.

I am still new to the abbreviations of TTC so yall will have to forgive me.

Hi, I was an active part of this group about a year ago, and left to join the February 2016 mom's group. Unfortunately DH and I suffered through a natural MC at 7 weeks last June.supposedly it's supposed to be easier to get pregnant after birth or an MC, could've fooled me. I'm 24 and DH is 26, married in August 2014 & From New Brunswick, Canada. Together since high school and looking to start a family, obviously or I wouldn't be here. Currently he works about 3 hours away so he's not home during the week, which makes this whole process even harder. Dr claims were healthy and doesn't see any cause for concern that we've been trying for 18 months and have had one MC. I like to believe it will happen when it happens... I just wish it would happen now. We'll there's my intro,  good luck to everyone

    Hello!

I am returning after a medical issue caused us to put TTC on pause for a few months. I am 23 and DH is 33. He has two beautiful children, but after being together for almost (June) 6 years we are anxious to have one of our own! We have been TTC for 18 months. We have done three rounds of Clomid, took a break, and are at it again. Doctor is encouraging us to try it naturally for 4 more cycles now that some things are in order, so here we go! Looking forward to getting to know all of you lovely ladies.

I wanted to introduce myself. Long time luker. I did intro around September time frame, then fell off the wagon with posting and now I'm ready to get back into the ball game.

DH and I have been actively TTC since June of last year and we were NTNP for about a year before that. By that I mean, we rarely had energy and were just seeing what would happen. Since nothing did, we decided to get down to business to try to make it happen. So far there has been no glimmer of hope. We are working on his 2nd and my 1st. I really thought this would be easier, and so did DH. That's probably while we waited as long as we did to actively pursue anything.

I started all the blood work to see if there was something wrong there, came up empty handed. DH had an SA and he's fine there too. Next step is medicated cycles. My OB suggested Femara. She said she would be happy to refer me to an RE if I wish to do that. I think, we will do 1 cycle with the OB, then move on to the RE. It really just depends on what insurance will cover.

I've tried all the old wives tales to get KU and guess what!? They don't work. I enjoy all the snark here. I will try to step out of my comfort box and join in the WTO and TWW threads. I just get nervous. Not because I'm scared of anything other than just sounding stupid.

Oops. Guess I should intro myself since I jumped in on the wto thread!

We're just getting into TTC after baby 1 was born and we just did the NTNP thing for a while. But just like last time hubby's work schedule seems to always send him out of town right before my fertile window. Super frustrating but it worked out okay last time and gave me a clearer window to figure my own due date!

Hoping to get lucky again! I was only a lurker on TTC last time around so maybe I'll have the courage to jump into it! Love all the sassy-ness on the bump! Other forums were too tame for me!

Hi all- my name is Kim and my DH and I've decided to start TTC- eek! I already have two children (tweenagers) from a previous marriage, and I'm headed into that TTC over 35 category, so some of this will be a little new to me, but I'm happy that there are communities out there such as this one that exist to help me along the way. Looking forward to meeting you!

Hi all! My name is Pamela. We suffered an early loss in late February and now are waiting to TTC until September (for a few reasons). But of course I'm going crazy in the meantime so I need a place to hang!!! Hoping to be involved in the TTA/benched posts for now and then join in on the TTC posts later (while lurking and lurking in the meantime) :) I hope that's okay!

Hi everyone! I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and am so excited to have found this community!

I am 33 and my DH is 30. We got married in November of 2015. If/when I get pregnant, it will be the first for both of us. We weren't planning on trying until this summer, but with so many people telling us it could take a year or more (and "subtly" reminding me that my biological clock is ticking), we decided I should stop BC at the end of January. So we've been sort of trying since February, but this month has been the first where we have really tried to get the timing right. I am looking forward to sharing my journey with you all and to get to share in your journeys as well!

    Hello!

I have been lurking for a little bit.  I was formerly a bump member but haven't posted since my son was born 4 years ago.  My DH surprised me recently by agreeing to TTC our third.   I am looking forward to being a part of this community again.

I had some infertility problems with my first child, but not my second, so I am unsure as to what to expect at all this time.

Hi all! I was on this board back in 2013 while ttc my first. Now we are trying for our second. Looking forward going into it with more information as I found out late in the trying period that I have PCOS. Hopefully I know a little more what to expect with my cycle (aka it's all sorts of messed up!).

    Hi Everyone,

I'm new to really posting so I'll introduce myself. I'm Bethany, 27 years old. My husband and I were married 9/20/14. We live in a quiet little neighborhood with our husky/lab mix named Sundae. Prior to getting married I was on BC for 13 years so I know the havoc it has wreaked on my body. My cycles have been completely out of whack up until a couple months ago. I went as long as 127 days. The last 3 cycles however have been around 41 days.

We have been TTC since we got married, so technically I have "unidentified infertility" or something like that. I have done the BBT for a while but gave up for this cycle because it was becoming so much of my daily focus. I've really been struggling emotionally with this lately since my SIL is due in August. It feels like everyone around me is able to get pregnant so quickly and easily. There are days where things seem normal and I'm on top the of world happy. Then the next day I feel like a failure and don't even want to try anymore. Its been 20 months. Currently I'm in one of my "depressive modes" as I like to call it and really am looking for anyone who is in a similar boat as me. My husband is as supportive as he can be, but honestly he doesn't truly understand how this is affecting me.

Hi there I've recently turned 33 and my DW is 32. Yes I said DW, we've been together for almost 9 yrs. We live in Laveen, AZ with our fur kids. 2010 we decided to start on our family but discovered I had PCOS. In 2011 we had 4 IUI's but all ended in a BPN. I went into some depression after that feeling like a complete failure. In 2014 we got married in San Diego(yay!) and decided that we needed to start saving money again(insurance covers NOTHING) to try for our little family. I'm in a better place for myself and in our marriage. We went to Maui for our honeymoon and did a lot of soul searching. Here we are I am 11dpiui and I refuse to test until 14dpiui (which is driving her bonkers). We hope to be successful this time around, I found out there is no sign of PCOS (thank you diet and exercise). I do have a small fibroid which they are going to keep an eye out for. Hope to make some friends on here.

Not sure if I've already introduced myself or how to look that up - I apologize if I have another introduction somewhere. I was looking around this website back with my first pregnancy in December, which was a miscarriage. I kept reading the boards but I gave up hope for a little while and just couldn't be on here.

I'm 21, my hubby of 7 months is 22. We are currently partially TTC - it would be amazing if it happened, we just aren't planners so we aren't technically "trying"...just excited for the possibility. :) (*TMI*) My husband struggles with the baby dance, so until recently we weren't sure if we could get pregnant again. Now that we may be able to, my heart is full of joy and hope. Okay okay, that does sound like full-on TTC...

My miscarriage in December really threw me off. I want so desperately for my rainbow baby, whenever that time comes. I've decided the best thing to do is become active on the boards for when that moment comes!! Glad to meet you all and read some introductions. I really like this site and look forward to joining a month club board soon!!

Hi All.  I'm back.  Found out the other day that development stopped in week 6 again.  I'm technically benched for at least a month, but feel the need to jump right back in and continue to support and get support from you wonderful ladies.

I'll probably hang in benched and only start participating in WTO once I get my first AF, but am excited to participate in the other weekly threads again.   Joining this forum was a tremendous help to me after my last loss in November. I'm expecting the same this time around.
