@PinkLady2015 invest now in a longer vibrator! Let's be honest, the top is the only part that matters.
@elenabrent if you're considering waxes, I suggest going in sooner rather than later. As a lover of Brazilian's for 12 years, I can tell you that they last much longer with fewer strays the more times you've had it done. The first couple of times you do them they'll only last about 2-3 weeks before any hair starts growing back, but by the 4th or 5th I'm good for 6 weeks or so. Just my two cents worth.
We had an entire thread on pubic vajazzle and never once needed a gif...ugh I'm irritated that a bunch of pubes show up when you open this thread. Yeah I'm pissy today but I mean come on..
@elenabrent I know some ladies wax, I personally can't do the pain but I've heard people do both some get help, some let it grow I think it's more personal preference. I'll probably try to nair spray it as best I can.
Hey, @Lindsayleigh1989, this is just my personal experience but I was super allergic to Nair while pregnant with my first, especially around the pubic area. The dryness and sensitivity from that skin stretching with the bump made my skin pretty sensitive and I near died from the pain when it touched my stomach and the after effects weren't pretty either. So just a heads up, spot test maybe as you go so you don't end up like I did!
Anyone have any advice on leg injuries? I slipped on the ice yesterday and my knee and whole upper leg are killing me. Nothing is broken but the pain is pretty intense when I walk.
And yes I know no one here is a doctor. I just know xrays are a no no right now and no doc offices are open around me. Just wondering if anyone has delt with this.

They can do an mri. And if it isn't broken why would you need an X-ray? I would ice it and Tylenol which doesn't help much, sorry lady!

Are MRIs commonly used for minor injuries in the states? Serious question. She didn't really state how she injured it, and I know you're suggesting it because she is pregnant. In Canada MRIs are reserved for significant injuries and usually only considered when everything else has been ruled out by X-ray/CT scan and you are usually on a wait list with a multiple week-month wait. Would you actually be able to get an MRI scan if you just asked for one in the states?
@Lindsayleigh1989 When I have a headache I take Tylenol with a small coffee and try to have a short nap. It's been mostly successful so far, at least takes the edge off
You could get an xray if you needed one... seriously doubt they'd be like ahhh sorry, you'll have to live with a broken leg for the duration of your pregnancy because xrays are a no no. You can still get xrays of your teeth, legs, arms, anywhere except your abdominal area. They'd just put a leaded apron over you. Either way, the potential risk is minute.
Thanks ladies I had taken Tylenol earlier but it didn't help much. I think I might try and take a nap and just realized I have had much water yet today so down a couple glasses hoping that helps. Thanks! Has anyone ever used heat to help? I know it can help muscles but I don't want to make it more inflamed.
@TM14 I fell down the stairs yesterday and while I know I didn't seriously injure myself I'm pretty beat up. I iced my back and took an epsom salt bath and now I'm sitting with the heating pad on it while I catch up on work. I've busted a lot of knee caps over the years and I can't recommend wrapping it enough. Takes the pressure of the joint and lets you rest it.
@Lindsayleigh1989 I agree with PP- caffeine/lots of water/a nap. Also a little bit of Tiger Balm at the back of my neck and really massage it in. Does wonders.
As unpleasant as this sounds in winter weather, I've heard of ice packs on the back of the neck being a little more helpful, or switching between hot and cold @Lindsayleigh1989
Ice pack, water, lavender headache balm, caffeine, sleep. If it's really bad and you need quick relief my stand by is always sitting in a hot shower with the water beating on the back of my head and neck for as long as it takes.
@Lindsayleigh1989 I woke up this morning with a horrible headache. So far I've have 1 extra strength Tylenol, a sleeve of crackers, half a Gatorade and a hot shower. Almost gone and about to have a little coffee. Hopefully it does the trick and I hope yours goes away soon too!

Not super common but they will do an mri on a pregnant lady to avoid an X-ray. When I went to the ER for my back they said that is the next step if I didn't start to feel better.
@dolewhipper sorry you are in the same position feel better soon! I think I need to get some Gatorade as well just having some caffeine and relaxing in bed with a cold pack in my neck.

Ice and elevation whether laying in bed or on the couch put a pillow or two under the sore leg it can help relieve swelling.
I love love love tiger balm and wanted to use it on my neck when I woke up after sleeping on it funny but when i looked it up, the Internet told me I couldn't use it while pregnant. Sigh. Was the Internet wrong?

My primary and my o.b. both said it was perfectly fine. Check with your doc to be sure.
ETA: After digging around on the Internets, the problem is apparently the Camphor, which can be 'absorbed by the placenta if used more than 4 times a day for more than 3 days or if ingested', which is about as helpful as the warning on my blowdryer not to use while in the bath. Still, run it by your doctor, but I just needed to add that it's one of those 'may cause blindness if rubbed directly on eyeballs' contraindications.
Does anyone else miss cold lunch meat? I really, really want salami, and I don't want to heat it in the microwave before I eat it.
Yeah I still eat it cold... Call me crazy but if I can get listeria from pretty much anything a turkey tom @PugsandKisses ( my favorite sandwich ever!) I am going to eat it cold.

I eat deli turkey occasionally (not nearly as much as I do when not pregnant), but I make sure it's fresh and from a reputable place. The risk is listeria, but if you actually look at what has been recalled due to listeria lately, it's mostly been fruits and vegetables (which no one is telling us not to eat). It's a possibility, but a pretty remote one. I ate it with my son too, and he came out okay.
Does anyone else feel the health/food restrictions are a little crazy? I mean women have been giving birth to healthy babies for years and so many were never told not to eat deli meat ha

Thank you, I'm craving salami, not meth. Doctors used to recommend specific brands of cigarettes to pregnant women, ffs.
Does anybody have any tricks tips or cheats for completing online traffic school. My DMV gave DH a huge list of places and I don't even know where to start.

Check with your insurance. I know that mine offers a discount if you complete it, even if it's to get rid of points on your license, but only from certain places. I know the DMV has a huge list, but I'd try to see which ones are approved by your insurance to narrow it down.
I eat a nice cold turkey sandwhich about once a week or every other week. I only go to places that I have been before with a good track record of not giving me food poisoning. That being said, I did cut back a lot, if I didnt, I would be eating one every day.
My MIL had a huge cheese tray/cold meat tray at Christmas and not going to lie it was my favourite thing at Christmas dinner. I honestly forgot some of those meats are on the "no" list. They were freakin delish and I have no ragrets.

Can you nap it off? I'm sure you are doing all of the usual (meal, hydration).

It is delicious, and was free thanks to a Dr at work.
