a fun game

You know you are TTC when: You order tiny cups to put your pee in so you can take a OPK test and hide in the bathroom so it doesn't gross out your DH.

You know you're TTC when the whole world seems pregnant RIGHT NOW.

Omg yes. DH and I have been working our way through one of the Star Trek series on Netflix and the most recent episode we started revolved around a crew member getting KU.

A rerun of HIMYM was on the other day and it was one where Lilly was KU.

There's been a few other shows with similar things in the past few weeks. It's like the universe is just screaming in my face.

I watch TV to get away from thinking about TTC and of course, it ends up being about babies! Urghh
  • Yes to all of the above!

Adding when you have the overwhelming desire to share facts from TCOYF with every single person you know.

This is how I ended up telling my BFF we're TTC. I kept spouting off stats and science reports about fertility. I had to come clean because I sounded insane.

  • Maybe we should sticky one of these threads since people seem to like it a lot. There was another one right after the one I just linked but she got flamed for doing it a week after the first. If you search this there are tons of threads with this title, but I've only seen three or four since I've been around. I don't think most of you were around for the last one.

I was thinking of putting that you know you're TTC when you've done this thread 4 times, lol! But figured since we have a load of newbies and it's been awhile, I'd leave it be. :D
Usually I'm a stick in the mud with this kind of thing but everyone is new here. @BumpAdmin can we sticky this one? People enjoy it and then we can keep up with the answers we've had already and respond to them.

For once in my life I stopped shopping for clothes LOL as they may not fit hehe. My MIL and her friends were going your not drinking your pregnant last night. Nope just didn't like the drink menu haha. Really how anyone could tell we are trying is that I haven't went shopping in five months haha.

I'm a shopaholic but I don't buy clothes anymore bc I'm thinking they won't fit in the future and hopefully I'll need maternity clothes. Nice to know I'm not the only who is doing that.

  • @Linsbins Oh funny, I've never seen this thread posted before. I would also probably be considered a newbie since I started in July. I didn't even think to search for it since I've never seen it and it's not a question.

When you search it you can see how it gets started with each new group that cycles through TTGP. Looks like it goes back a few years. I vote sticky it. No reason why we can't do it again though with mostly new people.
  • When you wave OPKs in DHs face and he says "oh yea, that's positive"

Also, I agree this should be a sticky
  • When you can only remember what CD/DPO it is and not the actual date.

When suddenly things that were kind of annoying become a bit offensive. If this becomes a bit worse I will need a reality check. People get pregnant all the time and people have always thought they were for a silly symptom. I don't have enough time to care.
  • You know you are TTC when you have a TB addiction, everyone(but you) is preggers, Babies are EVERYWHERE, and DH tells you to prop after BD. Also you know the abbreviations without second guessing.

Have you ever thought about buying a certain car and then over the few days thinking about it you see that car EVERYWHERE? Never even noticed it before.  I feel like I am seeing babies all the time now.  It is bothering me more on FB than it ever has and I try to only log in once a week now.  My mind is baby baby baby, so my sensors are on full alert.

  • Can @BumpAdmin please sticky this?

    - you know you're TTC when you have an app to track sex and you have to remind your DH not to put "THAT" thermometer in his mouth... Also when you know which companies on Amazon are selling the real Wondfos.
  • When you can feel an increase in your cervical mucus and you tell DH all about it.  "Honey, we're getting close to our fertile week, I have more CM than usual."
  • You leave a camping trip early because your CM suddenly became EW, and your friends' tent is only 5 feet away from you and DH. Yeah.... had to do that this summer.

  • All of this lol...I am especially guilty of telling DH about the amount and consistency of my CM and when my fertile time is

    Daisypath Anniversary tickers
    Lilypie Maternity tickers

  • You know you have been TTC for long when your DH knows exactly when the mood swings will start because you didn't get a BFP.

    Married August 2009

    Step mom of 3~ 17, 15, 12

TTC Baby #1 for us since reversal in 2012.

  • I have been shopping recently, but before we started actively TTC my doctor put me on steroids (for a chronic medical condition.) I gained about 15 lbs in about 3 weeks, and had to buy clothes to fit during that time. I know from past experience it drops off pretty quickly when I stop the medication... but this was a long course, and I needed clothes to wear at 15 lbs heavier than usual!

I know we were starting the process of TTC because I didn't think "Oh what a waste.." I thought - "Oh good, these will fit longer once we get that BFP."

Also - the fact I had a nightmare about telling my job we were expecting last night. Soooo not looking forward to that conversation someday...
