Thanks @JessKo08 - you're exactly who I was hoping would see this. This morning he's still running around and using both arms and still no bruising, so I think we're in the clear. And he slept just fine. He still has a bump on his arm, but it just feels like it's skin. Crazy kid was diving off of couches before we left for grandma's this morning...Urgent Care doc from this weekend when we took him in said she thinks she'll see him back there a lot for stitches in the future....yaaaayyyyy.
@soxfan9968 good luck!!! You'll be amazed at the change your baby has made since the first ultrasound (if you've had one done). It is so cool to watch an actual baby on the screen moving around.

that is good to hear @skruhmin (well not about future stitches) LOL
my oldest broke his forearm before he even turned 3, had a few casts, and was out of casting for ONE MONTH before he broke his elbow (same side). that one happened at night, and having worked ortho trauma i knew the ER would do nothing but send him to my old work in the morn so i kept him comfy at home - went up there the next day and the surgeon i worked for was all like "look, i know you miss being my nurse and all, but you can just visit us without a fractured kid if you want to" haha! this is my spectrum kiddo though, and he has a really high tolerance for pain, i know what you mean about it being hard to tell how bad it really is.
my littlest has already busted his face open and had to get sutured up right next to his eye. he is constantly jumping off of everything trying to be like his big siblings. constant heart attacks with him ugh!

I freaking love kids I can't wait to be a mom. The 5 year old in the family that I nanny made a harp yesterday out of a box and rubber bands. He was playing it for me and I was "dancing" he was laughing so hard. They're so funny when they get so amused
I hope we don't scare you too much. It's seriously the best thing ever to be a mom - hardest, but best. DS2 is our dancer. Any kind of music comes on and he just starts dancing.

Also, I can't wait until tomorrow for UO and maybe (hopefully) this isn't even a UO for y'all but I really hate when people say you aren't a mother until your child is born. I feel like it's one of those ways people try to be superior to others. I have cried for this child. I have prayed for her. I have done everything in my ability to protect her and I love her unconditionally already. Sure it's not the same thing as actually having her here but she is my daughter and I am her mother and I have been since the day she existed.

Honestly I have never heard anyone say that but I def agree with you. I always here people say moms are moms once they get PG and dads become dads when they can hold their baby which makes sense to me. I can't imagine a women telling another women this but then again women are B#@$%s...LOL.
@SarahFoley725 I feel like you become a mother as soon as you start trying for that baby. You are a mother as soon as that pee stick turns positive. You are a mother if you experience a loss. You are a mother when you feel the first kick. You are a mother when you hold your baby in your arms the first time.

I already know what my son would say, so when he gets home tonight, that's what we're going to do. I love these reminders that WE are what matters.
Also, can I just brag for a second? My little one has been in karate since January, and he just turned 5, so he's one of the youngest in his class. Well, last night he broke his first board. My favorite thing is the look on his face in this photo. He could NOT believe he'd done it...he was so proud, so naturally, I was as well.
I am soo freaking tired, my hips are hurting, I feel super bloated although I'm sure its just growing baby...And I forgot I "promised" my dog I would take him to "Gwamma's" so he could play with her dog Oliver. Tonight we are supposed to take the dogs on a leash-less stroll through the woods so they can play in the leaf piles (my stepfather dumps the leaves back in the woods). Oh well- whether its children or animals, we do for them, right? Lol. I can always go to mom's, make her take the animals, and I sleep on her couch lol.

DH is going to pick up a craigslist desk after work. He swears he's going to be home by 6:30 (yeah the place is like an hour away without traffic). Part of me is like "cereal" for dinner because I'm feeling lazy. What to do, what to do???

Sorry, I'm feeling like crap today. I'm having these fluttering feelings in my chest and I'm really short of breath. My legs are swollen, too. Not sure what's going on, but if it keeps up I'll contact my doctor. Anyway, due to that I'm rushing through things so that I can go home and lay down. So, long story short, I've only been on TB a little today.
I say cereal for dinner. Your kids will love you. Your husband will love you. You will love you. It's a win, win, win!
Probably what Ev will eat, since I think I'm making pasta. I know it was in a thread the other day, but I can't remember where, about not fixing additional meals for people that don't want to eat the main meal. But what do you do if you're making a particular meal that you know one person in your family just cannot eat (due to sensory issue). I mean, he will try stuff he doesn't like, but he literally gags and cries trying to eat pasta. Would you guys make an exception? Am I a pushover?

For puking sensory issues, I definitely make sure there is something on the table that he/she will eat. DS1 pukes if we force mashed potatoes - pisses me off every time.

Yeah I'd talk to your doctor...at least have your bp checked
Just had it checked at my appointment one week ago. It's really low usually and was still considered "low" but was healthy for me. I thought it may be my blood sugar, but eating didn't seem to help.

I think in situations like these you're definitely not a pushover. My oldest has sensory issues with some foods but most of the time it concerns sides. He hates the texture of mashed potatoes so I'll let him get extra veggies or sometimes I'll make him rice instead. He did try a few times to just eat them and would gag it back up but I'm like @skruhmin on that one lol I get pissed about the throwing up over food so I don't mind giving him something else. To be honest, with all of my kids (and sometimes husband) I don't mind taking little extra measures with the food when it's simple things (butter instead of sauce for one of them, no peppers on/in half, etc.) I just won't fix completely different meals for everyone.
