@KidShrink yes I went in Monday for blood work and an ultrasound. The nurse called me later that day and told me to trigger between 6 and 8pm on Tuesday, and then come in between 7 and 7:30am on Thursday for bloodwork. Then my IUI will be at 11am on Thursday.
@jlynn330 then you should be fine. They typically grow 1-2 mm each day at that point. They must not have seen your Lh surge. I get monitoring every day from day 9 til I trigger, so it's easier to know exactly when is the right time, but if that's their procedure, they must know what they're looking for! FX for you tomorrow!
@jylnn330 I will be on a similar protocol using Letrozole CD 3-6 and on Day 6 begin100 Iu's Follistim. This will be my 8th procedure 2 IVF's and 6 IUI's (My last 2 were canceled cycles) I am a VERY poor responder and so we are trying to a do a Micro Dose protocol, my last IUI I was taking 300Iu's of Follistim and 75 Iu's of menopur. So this will be a lot less meds for me. I have never taken Clomid or Letrozole so I am very interested to see if I even respond to this. Fingers crossed and good luck to all of you on this board!

HBamama2B - Well they want to get as far up as they can into the uterus, so I guess it's good the got all the way up there!! I think I was more unprepared and shocked about the pain, since it was mostly pressure up until then (like the HSG). She also had to mash on my belly several times to get it threaded in there, so maybe I am funny shaped or something.

I am jealous of all of you..I am still waiting for AF to show up after my BFN last month and stopping my progesterone and estrogen..once AF shows up we are starting on IUI cycle #2 so I will still be in August but i just want it to come already so we can get started. The only time in my life I wish for my period is when I know i'm not pregnant and want to be. Good luck to those of you who already had your IUI or are just about to have yours.

Hey y'all! I just had my 4th IUI yesterday, so may I join in?
I've had three medicated IUIs so far. I took last month off to get an HSG (painful, but good results, and possibly flushed some gunk out) and to start acupuncture and TCM herbs. I don't know what to think about the acupuncture, but my RE is really enthusiastic about this particular practitioner and says that all the clients they share have gotten pregnant, so we'll see!
This cycle, I had femara and finished it off with bravelle. I had 5 follies total, but 2 were way too small to do anything (avg 8 or 7) on the left, with (I think) a 11, a 15, and an 18 on the right, at my ultrasound on CD 10. I triggered the morning of CD 11, and had the IUI 26 hours later on CD 12. Today, CD 13, my temperature jumped a bit! I also think I felt ovulation cramps around 5pm yesterday, 8 hours after the IUI, which is a pretty good time for the sperm to swim up the tube, though with frozen sperm, I'm worried about their lifespan (I've heard 6-12 hours). I also had some good EWCM yesterday.
So it appears that the stars have aligned to give me good conditions! I only have to wait now. I'm 1DPO, and it feels like this TWW will take FOREVER!!
Also, I'm 38 with low reserve, and gay (so relying on frozen donor sperm). I have a few challenges on my plate, but I'm feeling positive.

@Colleen0516 I have been off everything since sunday night. They say it can take a few days for all the hormones to get out of my system and signal AF to show up. And some people just do it faster than others. I have no idea why it hasn't shown up. I don't think my beta was too soon. It was 16 days after my IUI. If I don't have my period by tomorrow afternoon I'm supposed to call the dr and they want me to come in on Saturday to get checked. I think they want to make sure I don't have a cyst that could be giving off hormones preventing my period I guess but as of last monday (not this one the one before) I didn't have a cyst and I had ovulated so not sure what's going on. It would be awesome if somehow I was miraculously pregnant but I don't think that is the case
Our first IUI will be on the 14th/15th assuming the ultrasound shows I'm ready for the trigger shot.
I have a small cyst on my left ovary that they saw today too, but it's small enough they aren't worried. Starting Letrozole tonight..

@mummysmomma they told me the same thing. I had 8 follicles and three or four were huge. They asked if I wanted to cancel too and I said no. Honestly once I went through the iui and got in my car I freaked out. I was like what the hell did I just do? I could have triplets. Lol. I won't find out if it worked until next Friday but the doc said I have a bigger chance of it not working since it was my first iui vs. having triplets. So we wait and see.
@rachlee2010 I am waiting for AF as well, right now I feel like it is never going to happen. I just want to be able to start treatment! My temp spiked yesterday so I thought I was getting there (I don't ovulate, or haven't been, and my temp spikes for about three days then AF comes), but this morning my temp was back down to normal. Even though Fertility Friend is saying I ovulated based on my temps, I think it's confused.
@mummysmomma Good luck this weekend!! Do they count both IUIs as two? I am just wondering because that sounds like a great idea, but if I did that then I may only have four IUIs after the first time instead of 5 because my insurance only covers 6. Does that make sense?

@rachlee2010 I am waiting for AF as well, right now I feel like it is never going to happen. I just want to be able to start treatment! My temp spiked yesterday so I thought I was getting there (I don't ovulate, or haven't been, and my temp spikes for about three days then AF comes), but this morning my temp was back down to normal. Even though Fertility Friend is saying I ovulated based on my temps, I think it's confused.
@mummysmomma Good luck this weekend!! Do they count both IUIs as two? I am just wondering because that sounds like a great idea, but if I did that then I may only have four IUIs after the first time instead of 5 because my insurance only covers 6. Does that make sense?
