Yep, the feeling is mutual over here in the AMT&THC house too...haha....that stuff is my least favorite part...well, the waiting is really my very least favorite. If you figure out the luck part, help a sista out and share
@Drove2u : waiting to hear back from my nurse, but bloodwork and ultrasound tomorrow or Saturday, and starting 5mg of Letrozole then for 5 days. Then US and BW again on day 6 and starting Follistim (Puregon) 75IU for 5-7 days starting on day 6. US and BW daily from day 9, then Ovidrel trigger when I get my LH surge. I've never been this excited to get my period (and I'd prefer if this was the last one in a little while!)
Hi ladies i'm in my 2ww. I had my 4th iui last Saturday but this time using femara. Also my doctor had me use ovidrel to trigger and I am taking ovidrel again tonight to lengthen my luteal phase.

I am waiting on AF to show up so I can start my cycle of treatment. This is so frustrating. I guess this is going to be a long cycle, just because I am not so patiently awaiting her arrival. Ugh!

Woohoo!!! I had my follicle scan yesterday and my doctor decided to trigger! We didn't do clomid this time so we just naturally have a 23 x 16 mm follicle which she said is great! And my endometrium was "fantastic".
I'M HAVING MY IUI TODAY!!! Which tech means I'm a day early to the August Club...sorry guys.
The IUI is being done a little earlier than she likes but due to husbands schedule (leaves at 3:30 am and gets home at 5 pm Saturday) and the andrology labs hours were having to make due with the circumstance. We didn't want to risk naturally surging and being caught on Sunday when they aren't open.
Early is better than to late right? Here's hoping.
We're also going to try and "naturally" cover (I'm a horse person - we call this business covering lol) for the next 48 hours ourselves.
Anywho, I'm mega excited as this is the first one! And nervous. And stressed. Which are all things I need to not be. Hopefully I can drink some wine and chill out!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE!!!! Hope y'all don't mind me being the day early August crasher.

@AdorkablePixie : I was in the same situation. My cycle is usually 25-26 days, but I've had surgery, and it seems AF came late and with a vengeance! I had a 32 day cycle, and now in CD2 of the worst AF visit I've ever had. I'm hoping this means the surgery has fixed my lining thickness issues (which was one of the goals).
For those of you who have had a thinned lining (for example because of Clomid), did you notice a substantially lighter period after?
Hi guys! I am joining the August club :-) First appointment tomorrow morning...so, IUI probably by the 11th or 12th (that's my usual anyway)! So, here's to all of us making it happen in August :-) FX!
I hope you don't have AF for a least the next 9 months, but let me know how it goes if ever she does show up. I just met with an acupunctor/traditional chinese doctor and he was asking me about how my period had been in the past. Given this whole slight t-shape thing with my uterus, it seems like this was there all along as I don't remember having awful periods even as a teenager before I was on BCP. But it seems like this surgery really did it for me and AF, and I'm a little overwhelmed by how intense it is (although that seems to be what 'normal' people experience). I'm really curious to see what my lining is going to look like this month (and as I'm writing this I'm thinking 'man this is weird to have to worry so much about how thick my uterine lining is'...so thankful for boards like these where people get it!)
@KidShrink Good luck with the lining and the acupuncture. I think in my waiting around I may research acupuncture. I have heard a lot of good things about it and since it's going to take some time to get IVF stuff in order after August, I may as well give it a try. I know exactly what you mean about weird worrying...I have had people say that I looked concerned and ask what I am worried about...I say no and nothing because it would be so weird to say "uterine lining" or "sperm count"! How awkward would that make the convo? haha!
@tbyars07 GL! Fx for you.
@KidShrink Yikes. My cycles had been between 37-38 days but my last one was only 20. It's annoying. My nurse told me if I don't see AF by CD 35 to call and we will start treatment, so that's good!

@AMT&THC : are you doing another round of IUI this month, or moving to IVF? It's funny, I was never into acupuncture or anything like that before I started experiencing symptoms no one in 'western' medicine could understand or help. My husband is completely against it and just doesn't believe in it. But then again he didn't see the improvement in my periods the last time I did it. There are studies showing it increases success rate for IVF, so I don't see how it can hurt with IUI. If it help increase blood flow, it'll be good for IUI as well. @AdorkablePixie : they had me come in for bloodwork to see where I was at (at day 30). Everything was normal and progesterone was at 3.6, so we just needed to figure out if it was going up or on it's way down. They had told me to come back for bloodwork if AF hadn't showed up a week later. Low and behold, AF was there two days later, and with a vengeance!
Just went to my day 3 US+BW. Lots of follies wanting to grow on each side (about 15 each, way to freak out my husband who had never seen the results of the first ultrasound). However, there is also a cyst (24mm) on my left ovary. The doctor doesn't seem concerned and I was instructed to start on Letrozole tonight. I'm going back on day 6 (Tuesday) for my BW and US before starting Puregon. Has anyone had a cyst like that starting a cycle? I'm worried about it growing and bursting, messing up the one ovary that wasn't affected by endometriosis. I'm so frustrated with my body right now!
Thanks! After the initial freak out, I look up research on cysts on CD3 ultrasounds (days like that I'm thankful for my research background). Turns out it doesn't seem to affect the total number of follies during stim for IVF cycles and doesn't impact the success rate either, so not a reason to cancel a cycle. I'm going to assume it's no different for an IUI cycle. Freak out over.
I'm having my first IUI this month! I am new to this site and new to all of this. It's so great to read all of your posts to know I'm not alone! I'm super nervous and have no idea what to expect. I'm not even familiar with he experience at all!
I'm more nervous about the clomid and the trigger. I haven't had much time for everything to set it. It's all moving so fast! I'm excited and nervous all at once.
I am starting the process for my first IUI tomorrow as well! Going in for my baseline ultrasound and starting Femara tomorrow night! Excited and nervous at the same time. Wishing everyone good luck!!
@Krisd6 : we'll be cycle buddies! Just had my baseline and started femara yesterday. Are you doing femara only or plus injectibles? I've had a few cycles of Femara with timed intercourse before, had a laparoscopy, and now doing femara, follistim and IUI! Very excited, but afraid I'll get yet another BFN. Good luck to you and FX for both of us!
@KidShrink - yes! Let's get through this together! This is my first cycle. I'm doing Femara plus injectables. I had a laparoscopy too just a few weeks ago. Happy to have all of that behind me and move on....let's keep in touch! Good luck to you
Good luck to all of you starting this month. @kidshrink I have a question about your medications. I am in the 2ww currently but wanted to know about the Femora plus the Follistim. Does that give you a better chance overall? I did Bravelle injectables plus the IUI. I can imagine that it can be frustrating doing a few rounds with having the BFN as an end result. It's great that there is such support on here. Hope all goes well this month.
@Emily4554 I am pretty such it is to lengthen your literal phase. I've seen that in a couple posts.
I'm wishing all of you the best! I am hoping to join you guys soon. I hate this waiting game,

@Joyzie77 : to be honest, I was surprised by the combination when the nurse told me. The discussion with my RE the day before my surgery was that we wanted to be more aggressive with treatment (which in our head, meant starting Femara again because I had responded well with 2-3 good follies each time, and adding IUI to that). The time we had spoken before that, he had said that after my aurgery, he'd be happy if we tried naturally for a couple months. So at that appointment I broke down and we told him we understood our chances would hopefully be better after surgery, but that we didn't want to waste any more time. So he recommended one notch more aggressive than we expected. The goal is to possibly have 1-2 more follies and have better egg quality (not that we know anything is wrong with it, but on my own, I've ovulated when my follie was 14mm which is not big enough). From what I've seen so far, it seems like a relatively common protocol. That's certainly what my RE recommends before moving to IVF as it's an in between essentially. I'm personally afraid to respond too much and have my cycle cancelled, but I guess we'll have to wait and see! Going in on Tuesday for CD6 monitoring, which is when I'll be starting the Puregon/Follistim (different names in Canada/USA). How have you been responding to Bravelle? What dosages are you on?
@KidShrink .. I can understand not wanting to waste any time. Both my husband and I feel the same way. We aren't getting any younger. I could see wanting to use what you used before for treatment. I think having to cancel a cycle would be quite frustrating. I wondered about the Bravelle as they kept me at the 75 dosage throughout the whole cycle. I ended up with one large follicle at 21 and the other at 16 I think. I don't know enough about the dosages to know when you should increase. I've tried my best to educate myself. I trust the doctor so I am just learning as I go. I wasn't having problems ovulating and our infertility us unexplained. The 2ww has me hoping for good news but trying to remain realistic as well. Please keep me posted as you move forward. Sending positive thoughts your way.
After my appointment last Friday, I had maybe 3-4 follicles that were only 10 mm and my lining was 4.7mm. I was so disappointed! The nurse instructed me to continue with Gonal-F injections, but up the dose to 75iu for the following three days straight. Fast forward to this morning, and I had one follicle that measure 19 mm! My lining had grown to 6.84mm, which I know isn't great, but hopefully it will grow a little more in the next few days. I trigger tomorrow and go in for my first IUI on Thursday! I'm so excited Also, I know this is probably dumb but I looked up on a due date calculator based on insemination when my baby would be due if we got pregnant this month. It says the baby would be due on my birthday...I hope that's a sign of good things this month!
I'm joining August group! Hopefully this is our month ladies!! I'm on CD3: I start my 5 days of clomid tonight. Anyone on the same (or close) cycle days as me?
