@klkonwi I work full time and having to have her in daycare 5 days a week versus 2 wouldn't be worth it to me (1200 versus 600 a week). It's definitely taxing and evening shift would be ideal but..this will have to do until I win powerball.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
Been up since four and have to leave for work in 45 minutes. Was hoping to get in another hour of sleep but really can't complain. She just slept 11-4 but on me when we fell asleep nursing. I'm feeling kind of nervous doing that, I don't want her to smother as now she's taking to burying her face into me to fall asleep. And I don't even know if she fed while I was sleeping. Anyone else worried about this stuff? She's sleeping in a rnp and me on the couch. Ok just kidding, we're both sleeping on the couch. Well at least I only have to work three hours. So sorry for you nurses, really makes me want to cry for you, freakin hormones!!
Every single feeding overnight I woke up in a panic thinking I had forgotten to feed my kid. Every. Single. Time. And then I would check the time and somehow then think that I had already fed my kid for that time frame, and try to drift back to sleep. Result - panicked yet half incoherent mom making up bottles at 3 and 6 am.
I'm so jealous of all you moms getting long stretches of sleep that I could cry LO not exceeding more than 2.5 ( that's her longest stretch of the night) last night blahh feel like crap today!
I curse breastfeeding for making me starving at 445 am...... ! Now have to get up and make food ! Anyone else,!?
I definitely cut a huge piece of banana bread around 3 and ate it while pumping!
LO has started cluster feeding in the evenings and then has been sleeping from 9-2:30. Last night he was up briefly around 4:30. I changed him, gave him some gas drops, and fed him a bit. He was back out until 8:00. Please tell me this is our new normal. Beats being up every 2.5-3 hours!

One night I could not figure out why the baby wouldn't go back to sleep. Tried to soothe him and nothing was working. DH tried to soothe him. I thought I was just up and had just put him down, but when I looked at the clock 3 1/2 hours had passed....total mom fail! Obviously I fed him. DH started laughing, but I felt like a total dumb ass.
It's 8:30pm. Aside from a few errant 10-15 minute catnaps, LO has been awake since 11:30am. I can't wait to attempt to put her down for the night. Sigh. Overtired is an understatement at this point.
LO went from a 3 hour, 6 hour, 3 hour stretch back to every 2 hours the past 2 nights. Wondering if she could sense she was going to get a bottle (Since I started back work Thursday) & wanted to nurse more....? Today DH kept her while I was at a teacher work day & she slept a lot after getting her shots yesterday. Lord help me tonight. I have a feeling I won't be sleeping much.

I did read about this in baby wise that some babies will hold out for mom when they are getting bottles throughout the day.
this kid has not slept more than 10 minutes at a time since like 3ish. he finally just passed out and i hope its for at least 3 hours. ive gotten nothing done today aside from his long nap that was maybe 2 hours.
Attempted my first dream feed just now. I hope it works! SO is out of town for the weekend and I could use a good nights sleep.
I LOVE the dream feed. I keep talking about it a lot on here. It keeps me sane at night because I can have a couple hours to myself in the evening.
This isn't night realated, but sleep related. My husband let me take a nap today. Now, LO has been sleeping great lately, so I can't complain. I was just a little tired today after getting my Mirena (not sleep deprived though). I don't know what happened, but I was so confused when I woke up. I was freaking out because I hadn't been taking care of LO so I thought something was wrong with her. It took me about 30 seconds to remember my husband was downstairs watching her.
Headed back to gym routine tonight.. I'm scared of how much wind I'm going to suck.. Just put LO down for the night too.. This is the last thing I want to do, my bed looked so good [-O<
Yup...knew we wouldn't hit the trifecta of 3 nights in a row. Makes me wonder if it has to do with her having a bottle before bed and not nursing. This is like the shortest stretch of sleep in weeks.

Does anyone not swaddle at night? I tried not swaddling and put him down at 11:30 after a 10:30 feed. He woke up at 12:45 hungry. Wondering if he would have slept longer swaddled? he went down so much easier but wondering if he startled himself awake.

My husband sucks at swaddling so when he does it LO always gets out of it and startles herself awake within 30 mins. When swaddled she's 99.9% of the time out then for a few hours depending on if it's day or night could be more.
So we tried the bassinet for the first time and LO slept in it for the same amount of hours as she usually does!!! My mom babysat her today and we always joke she's our good luck charm because everytime we are with her or LO was with her she does something great. She first smiled with my mom when we were all together and my mom was talking to her and she slept for a 6 hour stretch another time after being babysat by her. And now this! I'm totally moving back in with her lol
Also question for those using bassinet or crib. Our LO is a wiggle worm and we swaddle her. I woke up to her wiggled horizontally in her bassinet. Should I be worried? Especially being swaddled I worry about her getting suffocated or something

My LO is a swaddle hater. I've tried so many times but he gets really mad! I gave up on the swaddle. He startles himself awake a lot too... I tried to tell him it will help him sleep but he doesn't listen :-/
Mine too from 5-10! Every now and then well just get a night where she is fussy/unhappy but usually it's screams! Everyone is trying to tell me how to help her and trust me I've tried a million different things..,I think it's just "the period of purple". My hubby works 2nd and 3rd shift so he is gone as well and feels bad. Hang in there! I just dread that time of day!

I worry about the same thing bc my LO will turn on her side sometimes when swaddled in her crib but if she isn't swaddled she won't sleep for longer than 10 minutes so there is no way I'm not swaddling her butt!! She sleeps in crib next to my bed so I'm constantly checking her so I won't stop now but soon when I move her to her room in the crib then I'm def going to have to stop.
LO slept from 830 until 1215 WIN for me:) and then hubs came home and fed her at 1215 and put her down at 1 and she's still sleeping another WIN but I'm up pumping grrr this could have been some major sleeping time for me!! I hate pumping!!!!! They should make a pump that attaches but somehow we can still sleep while it's on maybe it numbs the nipples ? Idk just thinking lol
