@BrainCellSup I feel like people expect you to be over it at this point. I've never expressed any feelings about being miserable or ready to be done but people always assume when I talk to them that I'm willing to try anything at this point to give birth.
My only time frame concern now is just hoping LO gets here before my dad needs to head back to Ohio. If that doesn't happen though, oh well. He can fly back at the end of the month.
I'm kinda hoping LO comes naturally on 12/13/14...cause that would be sooo cool but I wouldn't induce early just to get that date
I was due last Friday. I have an ultrasound this Friday if she isn't here by then, and depending on how things look they might induce me then. I feel like there is a good chance she could be born 12/13/14 and I'm pretty excited about it!
So they did a BPP today and baby is measuring a week behind. I wasn't too worried given possible inaccuracies, etc., but they had me talk to the OB and he asked if my glucose numbers had been good, and said I really need to pay attention to kick counts from here on out. They want to do another scan next week. Now I am freaking out. I'm at 37 weeks and she's at 6 pounds. I shouldn't be worried, right!?
I'd told my husband he was on ripening duty beginning at 39 weeks, and he was more than willing to do whatever he could to help me! But now that we're stuck with a c-section, forget it, that's off the table.
I scheduled my c-section for my breech baby, but I'm still putting out a couple times a week! I think H and I are both trying to get it while we can before the 6 week break after baby's birth.
D14 November Siggy Challenge - How I Feel 3rd Tri:
I have PCOS and had I not gotten queasy at a Chinese buffet (and I LOVE Chinese food), I could have gone several months without knowing with DD1. A coworker with PCOS actually didn't know until she was 16 weeks at an endo appointment and they did a pregnancy test to "rule it out". So, for some women, I'll totally give them the benefit of the doubt.
Watching I didn't know I was pregnant..How do you not know you are pregnant with TWINS??!
I really don't understand.
Did you see the one where a woman was woken up in the middle of the night in extreme pain and thought she had to go #2 because she had been constipated and had her baby in the toilet?
I'm not an expert on this whole birth thing, but I am going to go ahead and speculate that going poo and giving birth feel incomparably different.
Also, an UD on my LO... Went to the doctor and he is not progressing anymore and my doc says he is kinda stuck. my BP went from really good to not so good in one week. and things seem to be on a stand still. My due date is next week (12-16) and I am A-OK with waiting for this baby to come out.... My doctor isn't so okay with it. He is giving me until my due date and then he is going to schedule my induction or induce me on my EDD, he says depending on my BP at the time. He told me I am noticeably more swollen in just a week (I thought it was all in my head).
Extremely grateful that he didn't drop the "P" word. but the doc did say that I was going to have a baby either this week or next. Just hoping my BP doesn't spike too high.
Sorry for the Dear Diary aspect of this lol... I'm not really that good with sharing stuff like that.
Hoping for safe deliveries for the rest of the D14 ladies that aren't due/ haven't had their LO's yet!
I didn't know I was pregnant for about 8 weeks. My boobs got huge and hurt but I just thought I was getting my period soon, I was stressed with school so I didn't think anything about it not coming. One night I was on my 3rd bowl of spaghetti and realized it had been a while since I got my period and I took a test just to calm my nerves. I did not expect a BFP! At 16 weeks I would have felt those first flutters and kicks and would have been super freaked out, though.
I have been having a lot of menstrual like cramps, and was hoping that was meaning I was dilating or making some progress.I had a doctor appointment today, nope. I think this LO is completely content being an inside baby for a while longer.
I've been having cramps, especially at night, for about a week. Good to know they might be causing some progress down there. I haven't had any cervical checks, so I don't know the actual status.
We last had sex about 3 weeks ago. It kind of hurt, and now DH won't try again. I asked if I could do anything else for him, and he said it wasn't necessary, he's been taking care of it himself. Alrighty, then.
I took my pregnancy test completely expecting it to be Neg. I was in the middle of getting tests done to see if I was infertile, since tests concluded it wasn't DH. I was experiencing a lot of pain in my lower abdomen on my right side,
I balled my eyes out when the test came back positive, since I thought I was not going to be able to have babies. Turns out the pain I was just LO moving into place.
I would have had no idea, I suppose, if I hadn't had taken that test on a whim until way later that I found out..... at 5 weeks.
@kirstey728 - Sorry to hear that you've joined us in the "wonky BP" club. Try to limit your salt intake (but don't cut it out completely), drink lots of fluids, and rest as much as possible. That should help with some of the swelling. Sleeping on your left side will also help. Make sure that you're keeping an eye on your BP in between appointments. If you aren't sure of the other pre-e warning signs to look for, let me know. I know them all by heart. Don't assume that because the BP and swelling went weird all of a sudden that you're in the clear - or that you're safe because you're nearly done. Take care of yourself!
Thank you so much for the support. Doctor says he is going to see my twice next week and he talked about things to call him about. He was really informative this last appointment which is out of the norm. Normally he is just like "yep, everything's good. See ya next week."
not sure if you're familiar with the store, but i bought a nice little handy wrist BP monitor at Harbor Freight. and I can check my BP at work.
@marsavary I hope your Bp stays good! Mine went crazy at 39 weeks, which is why I was induced. I know you know, but call your doctor with any symptoms. My only symptom was feeling light headed.
We hadn't even attempted in a while when I mentioned to DH about 5 days before my EDD that I wanted to have sex at least one last time because I'd be missing it and I knew he'd be taking care of himself just fine for the 6 weeks after. He said of course he did too but it had to happen naturally because it felt too utilitarian knowing I had ulterior "ripening" motives lol.
Weeellllll, LO decided to come 2 days after that discussion, so my sexy time request was never granted. This is the first year I haven't gotten birthday sex because I was 3 days postpartum on my birthday. Pretty ironic considering she was probably conceived from DH's birthday...
My doctor also said cramping is a good sign--although I haven't dilated my cervix continues to thin, so there's something going on there. I haven't had cramping with my period for many years, but I still automatically have that panicked must-get-tampon feeling when they hit. Then I have to remember I'm pregnant. You'd think that wouldn't be such a stretch but I'm so used to it now--I saw a picture of myself right after I found out I was pregnant, so like 5 weeks in, and I look like a stranger!
December '14 November Siggy Challenge - How I Feel in Third Trimester
How have you ladies not had cramping with your period for years? What am I doing wrong? I get horrible cramps AND half the time I feel like I've been whacked in the vulva by a 2x4.
This is me. So I'm extremely jealous of anyone that doesn't cramp with their period.

Me too. I started birth control very young to try to help with my horrible periods. They were so heavy and lasted 2+ weeks, horrible pain. I used to take bc continuously without the week off and still have a period, just not as bad as if I had no bc.
Hi Ladies! I've been MIA for the past few days because I had a baby! Our little girl was born on December 7th at 11:25am, just 2 days before her due date. She weighed 6 lbs, 7 oz and is 19.5 inches long. (Although since I'm in Canada, I was told she was 3.03 Kg and 49 cm). She is amazing and we are all adjusting to life at home. Just have to figure out a name.....

Ok... maybe no S&S. Perhaps this was in poor taste. X_X
