Hey all. I'm either in early labor or have a 6 hour bout with prodromal labor. I can't seem to get in a good consistent pattern. I'll eventually mosey in to L&D but I'd ideally like to be more consistent before I go.

All this labor talk has me happy.  Babies galore!

Tomorrow is my EDD.  No chance she comes.  I'm thinking she'll be here sometime on the later end of next week.

I AM BORED OUT OF MY MIND! They took everything off me because I "may go any day" and now I am a body, sitting here.

I haven't had coffee since the BFP. I'm going to to Starbucks today for an Americano. I am drooling just thinking about it!

Oh man. That cup is gonna wreck you.  Talk about poops and being wide awake.  Good for you for not having any coffee in 9 months.  Me? I had all of the coffee.

Yes. I am due in 20 days, but my last work day is Dec 23 (the office is closed the 24-28th) so I just said we will call it a day there. so I have 7 more work days.

@MCM - I think that I'm going to find a way to gross my husband out with this.  I will wait until he's in the bathroom or downstairs and turn it on and watch his face when he walks upstairs.  I'm giggling in delight at how this could play out.  He'll be disgusted and I will love every minute of it.  Might even have to buy him a banana hammock as a gag gift for his stocking.

Exactly.  I sometimes get a show when he comes out of the shower and spins his hips around and does whirly-woo's with his wang.  Makes me laugh.  We're dumb like that.  We also find extreme humor in poo.

Every time dh gets out of the shower he runs naked from the bathroom to our bedroom, shakes his junk at me and yells, NAKED MAN! It's great. I don't know what we are going to do when this baby gets old enough that we have to wear clothes in the house.

I had my u/s this morning and baby is perfectly content staying inside. But they scheduled an induction for Monday morning at 7 :30! I'm glad to have a time set. I'm still hoping she decides to come tomorrow. 12/13/14 would be cool.

I am getting paid maternity leave, my boss just came in and asked me if it was possible for me to come in to do a safety audit meeting if the date would happen to fall in that time frame.  I said yes as long as I am not in the hospital or such. I really hope it is next week before my leave starts.

@misskilljoy tentatively it is set up for the 17th now, but the owner of the company is my boss and he said if I came in I still get that day off.

I am also giving birth today . . . to maternity leave! Last day at work! 

I fully expect to blow past my due date on Tuesday. Previously my dr. mentioned inducing at 41 weeks if necessary; I guess we'll confirm that on my appointment on Monday. For now I'm looking forward to doing the last bit of organizing and buying all sorts of frozen things for midnight snacks. and grapefruit.

I just got caught up after a few weeks!

My due date is tomorrow, 12/13/14, which would be a really awesome birthday but there are no signs of baby girl making her appearance anytime soon. We are hoping though, it's the last time this century to have a birthday like that.

I tried to convince DH to have sex last night to help get the process going, and I seriously need to get some, but ever since he heard that I am 1.5cm dilated, he is terrified of hitting her in the head. I tried to tell him this won't happen but he doesn't believe me.

DH had the nerve to ask me if I am excited about getting my period again. I gave him a "are you fing serious" look. I then asked him if he is excited to not have sex for an additional six weeks once baby is born. He didn't like thinking of that.

Random annoying thing - reorg issues at work that were announced this morning. I'm not worried about losing my job, but I'm unhappy about some of the decisions that were made. So at the doctor's office this afternoon, my blood pressure was high and I have to do a 24 hour urine test this weekend. I told DH he's taking me out for dinner tonight to make me feel better.

On the upside, the doctor checked my cervix and I'm 1 cm dilated and it's "fairly soft." I know that doesn't really mean anything, but I'll take this over being completely closed. Maybe those menstrual cramps have been productive after all.

I hear you on both counts. This week my boss confirmed she's leaving, though it's still under wraps, she wanted me to know before I left at the end of the week. And I'm very happy for you that you're 1cm dilated, as I also have been fully closed when the dr checked these past two weeks. I'm fine with it but a difference would be exciting!

My ute is a steel trap at this point. Maybe if I could stand to turn on the heat she wouldn't need to cozy up so much in there.

Went to L&D today after leaving work after a BP check on my own time; doc says my cervix isn't favorable enough or if be getting induced right now. Bp went down after a nap so I was sent home. No more work (only had two days left anyway) and I am limited to 15 mins on my feet at a time until Tuesday my EDD, when I will get induced.

Doc mentioned a balloon catheter type thing because I'm not dilated....

Anyone have this before? Did it hurt, or was it not that bad?

They mentioned the balloon cath to me as an option when I was induced (for high blood pressure). We didn't end up needing it,buy basically they but it in your cervix and slowly inflate it to help you dilate. I did. Round of cervadil (prostaglandin) which is inserted right up to the cervix. Then,a pitocin drip. It took about 36 hours from the placement of the cervadil to delivery.

Search for my birth story, I had one to get me to 4cm. The insertion sucked but after it was in it was painless.

BTW, @katehgee I used to work at Disney world and i LOVED eating at all the resturaunts so much. It's one of the things I miss most.

I'm being started on both the cervadil and the cath at the same time.
