I ordered my crib and change table and dresser and glider for babies room yesterday. I was going to buy everything used because well--I am cheap and I like the idea of recycling. But all these people wanted 600-700 for a set and they weren't in great shape and most were a long drive away. Sears had a sale so I bought all for $900 so I figured that was good. I felt guilty for it all day because--I so wanted to buy used and put the remaining in a RESP for the babies education. But then I got an email from the gas company, they are issuing me a $450 cheque ( I let them test my soil on my farm and they pay me for the sample) and my cash back on my credit card was $400! so that's pretty much like getting a free crib/dresser/set and not I don't feel so guilty. I HATE spending money (unless its on vacations LOL)
@jennjilljoite Aww at least give us the other thread title? Pretty please?

You want me to send you gifs of spiders by PM? You are a kinky lady.
Ahhhhh no ( I don't know who the other person is so that would not even help.
The other one is a rare treat but they often dismiss science and scientific based research. Let's just assume that I dislike everyone who doesn't believe science and thinks the government is out to get them.
But that doesn't really narrow it down...at least amongst the rando posters. /pouts
It's a regular rando. Someone who usually only pops in to tell us we're all wrong but never joins in on the spam. It's not as strong of a dislike as the SS that everyone knows about.

There are 2 people on this board that I've figured out I just do not like. They are the reason that people call pregnant women smug and only seem to take part in fun threads or controversial threads and always say something that makes me roll me eyes.
I'm leaving it at that because I don't want to interact with them nor do I have the care or energy for it.
I was nervous until you dropped the hint about the should I eat board #:-S
@chickenonsunday The last time I washed my comforter was when a cat peed on it. I took it to the laundromat. That was years ago. Now I've got another task added to the weekend cleaning list. THANKS.
I have a legit question and there aren't any hidden spider gifs. How often do you bring your comforter to get cleaned? I don't think our comforter has been cleaned since putting it on our bed back in 2010. I noticed a line of dust along the bottom of the comforter and I'm totally grossed out. However, I'm still going to wait until our cleaner does comforters at a discount during the beginning of December. I'm cheap.
I take it once a year. And saying that "out loud" makes it seem gross. It goes to the cleaners each June when it gets warmer outside and we switch to a light blanket on top of the sheet. It comes back right about now....I should probably go pick it up......LOL!

Goddamnit, people. Four pages and 82 posts while I'm writing a report. And you hint at someone you don't like? I have one paragraph to write and it's all your fault if I don't finish it by COB.

I have another question...how does it work with pumping and storage bags and bottles? Do I pump into one of the storage bags, freeze them, and then thaw and use in a bottle? This is all so confusing........

I don't think if you use sheets you need to wash your comforter much, I hate the top sheet and sleep pretty much nude and I curl myself around my blankets and comforter. I also have dogs though and even though they aren't supposto ever be in our bed, sometimes I find hairs. AND my husband works with dead animals. If I was single and pet free I would probably NEVER wash it. And I would probably have a more expensive one too LOL

Ours is just a cheapie Target one, so I launder it maybe every other week unless there's some icky toddler mess on it that warrants an immediate washing (like when DD got poop all over herself and the comforter). It fits in our washer luckily; otherwise, I'd probably not be as diligent about it.

@ChickenOnSunday Not that often, but I have taken comforters to the laundromat and used the over sized washer for $10. I bring it home to dry and it ends up really wrinkled at the end, but at least it is clean. How much do dry cleaners charge to clean them?

@kefttsc you're ahead of where I was a few months before DS was born if it helps I pumped into bottles (because I am not the most coordinated of people and I spilled when I pumped directly into bags). I just poured into bags and refrigerated/froze.
I have another question...how does it work with pumping and storage bags and bottles? Do I pump into one of the storage bags, freeze them, and then thaw and use in a bottle? This is all so confusing........
I always pumped into the special pumping bottles and then poured the milk into storage bags to freeze. Freeze about 3-4 oz in each bag so it's easier to thaw exactly how much you need. Use a bowl of hot water to thaw the milk (never the microwave) and pour into a feeding bottle. One of my friends used ziploc bags to store her milk. She'd label it with the amount and the date so she could know which milk to use first.
@ChickenOnSunday we brought our new king sized comforter to a dry cleaner near us a few weeks ago and I swear it was only $20ish. Of course our comforter isn't that fancy. Like a $200 kohls one that would be easy to wash on my own if my washer was big enough. I can PM you where we took it if you need a place.
Can't wait to meet our darling daughter, Abigail Elizabeth
I'm putting this here cause I'm not starting a new thread for this! But let me tell you lady's I've had a crazy start to this day. So I went to Bed Bath Beyond because I had a gift card from returning stuff from my wedding. So I thought I'd go and buy my serving dishes for my dish set. Well I was bending down to grab these serving plates an when I stood up I instantly felt like I was going to pass out. Thankfully there was a chair near me so I sat down for awhile but then I felt like I was going to get sick so I left my cart filled with things and made a b-line to the door. I felt sick for quite some time. Thankfully I had the nurses number in my phone and called right away. They reassured me these things can happen and had me answer a series of questions to decide weather I should go in or not. So they didn't send me in but said if it happens again today I need to. So I've been taking it easy today. I'm so bummed I had to leave a cart full of stuff! Sorry Bed Bath Beyond for ditching ya!
I have another question...how does it work with pumping and storage bags and bottles? Do I pump into one of the storage bags, freeze them, and then thaw and use in a bottle? This is all so confusing........
I pumped into the storage bottles that screw onto the pump parts, then pour into bags to freeze, defrost in bags in hot water, pour into bottles to feed.

Hey all! Teaching these kids is really getting in the way of my bump time. Went to happy hour (diet dr. peppers for this lady ) last week and one of the guys in my department recently had a son and gave me some words of wisdom. He said that when I come back from maternity leave and see my students again I will realize how much my baby means and really put the stress of the job and students in perspective.
@krendel I love the freezer meal ideas and shower for your friend
Lastly, I realize I must not wash my comforter enough and hoping someone here tolerates me!

Still snooping through posts to see if I can crack the case! I'm wondering if it's the ONE poster who rubs me the wrong way, too. Know-it-all, super snarky just for the sake of sounding superior (or maybe I just don't get their sense of humor). I WILL FIGURE OUT CULPRIT #2!
I have another question...how does it work with pumping and storage bags and bottles? Do I pump into one of the storage bags, freeze them, and then thaw and use in a bottle? This is all so confusing........
I could never figure out pumping into the bags and would spill...So I always pumped into storage tubes during the day, and if freezing, would pour into the bags at night. Although, I never had much of a stash...typically whatever I pumped went straight into a bottle for daycare the next day.

Get ready to do some bottle cleaning!
Amen. The worst part of my day was coming home and pouring what I pumped into bottles then cleaning all my pump pieces, and then the bottles that came home from daycare. It seems like it took forever.
Gah, tied up in meetings with jackasses all day. On my way out the door, I was determined to find and inhale an entire box of wine toaster strudels, but traffic was crazy and there were no toaster strudels at the drugstore so I settled on Lindt truffles and a big bag of Combos, both of which are now GONE.
I will dispose of all the evidence from DH before he gets home and proceed to eat an entire dinner.
Something about knowing mat leave is on the horizon has left me with a very short fuse and a very large vocabulary of profanities when it comes to my idiot coworkers.
Love tit for the Combos and truffles! Sorry about the lack of Toaster Strudels! I just finished a family size box today but limited myself to 2 a day. Which flavor do you like best? They used to sell chocolate, which tasted a bit weird, but I'm always partial to strawberry.
Finally caught up on this for the day! So much going on!
@krysmill, I had to ditch all my hand picked fruits and veggies the other day because the check out line was ridiculous long and I was getting faint. Luckily the people behind me scooped it up because I felt awful leaving it! Hope you feel better!
PSA for FTM, if you receive or buy pajamas that have a million buttons, return them and find zippers. I'm going through all DD's old clothes for a sale and I can't tell you how many buttons I did today and it brought back all the frustration of having a wiggly baby while trying to snap them only to get to the last one and there's no match so you have to start over. Zippers!! Don't forget!
This is the note from my boss RE: that email I posted earlier: I totally don't get how this girl still has a job, I mean she has had this binder since JUNE! was supposto be completed by JULY and she is bitching to our boss because we keep asking for it back? oh well, will be glad to have it done with!!
Good Afternoon,
OWNER and I chatted with Coworker this afternoon about the
training binder. She will be returning Coworker2's file folder and Alygohome notes
by NO LATER than next Monday – depending when she is in town next. She had also
made a chart of all the different companies etc. which she may include as the
information in there really isn’t abstract. If the information is not returned
by next Monday please let me know and I will contact her – please do not
contact her any more regarding this issue.
Any information that she does give(if any) that she created
– please do not give any feedback about it. You guys are now in charge of
creating a binder that works for COMPANY NAME so any policies and
procedures entries can be easily changed to our way. A lot is very simple –
like simply COMPLETING TASK etc. – those wont be an issue.

omg I didn't know they came in family-size boxes! Now it's really worth tracking them down... there's always tomorrow My favorites are raspberry/strawberry/blueberry, with loads of frosting. I never liked the weird ones with cream cheese or eggs. Do they even still make those anymore?
******* My father, the inventor of the toaster strudel, won't be very happy to hear that.

I'm staring at your response and don't know whether you're joking or not. Are you telling us you're the Toaster Strudel Heiress?! Stop playing with my emotionsssss
No, I'm just trying to make fetch happen. @willvilljill
I FINALLY have time to spam. Busiest day ever. I can't wait for this week to be over. I didn't have a free minute all day. I just had 2 pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and now I'm eating a Haagen Daas ice cream bar. I'm starting to feel better. Damn, I wish I could have several glasses of wine.
I brilliantly realized something really bad was going to happen in the spider Gif, so luckily I was not scarred by life. I also zoomed by all further scary pictures of spiders! They are my thing that grosses me out GTKY.
And I also had a weird pregnancy dream last night. I dreamed I had the baby in some sort of very fast and miraculously painless birth. They didn't even retract the end of the delivery bed, the baby just shot out. No one was even in the room to catch it, the baby just laid there on the bed. I remember thinking in the dream "well, that was easy"!
Will this day never end! There are a ton of spam to get through. I'm stuck at work late making up time since we had a second u/s today. Baby is doing good. they just couldn't get all the pictures they needed at the a/s. I think got them all this time but we lucked out and got to see a 3D picture of her face!!! Some of the ladies at work claim she looks like me.

Hehe, I think maybe only Walmart sells that size. I've seen a few of the cream cheese, as well as egg combo, ones. Ick. I'll have to try raspberry. I think I've had blueberry and used to really like wildberry with the blue frosting (don't think they sell that anymore). Shoot, I made a Walmart trip today and didn't pick up a new box of strudels. Wishing I had now!

The other one is a rare treat but they often dismiss science and scientific based research. Let's just assume that I dislike everyone who doesn't believe science and thinks the government is out to get them.
But that doesn't really narrow it down...at least amongst the rando posters. /pouts
