@mapleme What are your thoughts on getting stripped at your next appt?  I know you don't do cervical checks either.  But maybe if they would strip your membranes it would be better than an induction, right?
That's what I'm debating internally these days.  I really don't want to ask her to do it, but it's less awful than an induction, right?

  • @TJ1979‌ she's a very new two year old, so we are just figuring out what's appropriate for this age. Maybe we should make cleanup a regular thing. That's a novel idea!

    I probably sound stupid...

@elittler E is only 21 months (almost 22.)  She is really good at helping clean up, so your LO should be able to learn it too.  Try to make it fun.  Like, let's see who can pick up the most blocks, or who can pick them up the fastest.  Or ask her if she can put all the red blocks in a basket.  Something to make it a game, but also learning.

@ABColeslaw Is it okay with you if we just ALL have our babies that day too?  We need someone to get the ball rolling here.  @jmejme went first but she didn't kick over the dominoes.  Maybe we can all synchronize our utes to yours.

  • Slightly off topic, but if I'm going to have cramps in the cervix area, I want them to be labour cramps, not just this baby pushing his head into my cervix. Unless his head pushing will eventually mean he pops himself out. I will take that. (Collaborative effort to get him out - me and him pushing in synchronization?)

@RachelCA29 YES!  This LO pushes so hard on things, that I sometimes double over in pain while walking down the hallway.  (Kinda funny at work, really.)  But if I'm going to be in that much pain, why can't it just be labor pain?

    Also, are you in Canada?

  • @TJ1979 I'm really into the "team effort" pushing idea. He can push down with this feet, while I push him out. Now I just need my uterus to participate in getting to the pushing stage.

And yes, I am Canadian. Southern Ontario to be exact.

OB appointments are a full day event for me!  They require 3 hours of driving, visiting my parents (and a nap at their house).

I also don't have a cell phone... so no mobile bumping.

No progress.  I had to go to L&D to check for fluid, but it was just discharge.

If I don't have baby by next Thursday, I've got an induction booked.

Does that mean you have a three hour drive when you go into labor? Or 1 1/2?

I'm so done being pregnant and I still have forever to go. I ate ONE cheeszit today because DH likes them and feeds them to DS (whatever), so I had some in the snack pack for today. I ate ONE while DS was snacking and immediately my intestines blew up. I thought I felt well enough to tough out the walk home but of course that meant the train station had to be full of all the idiots who go through the handicapped faregate just cause it's closest or take the elevator just cause they have one bag with them. I'm seven months pregnant and pushing a stroller, the handicapped faregate and elevator are my only options, use a regular faregate and take the escalator if you can't be bothered to walk up the stairs. It was so bad I ended up using the bathroom at the train station because I didn't think I could make the walk up the hill home. Ugh. Never again. I still have so long to go and I don't want DS to miss out on classes and activities, but that was brutal. And it's hot in SF today, like it-never-gets-this-hot-here stupid hot. So I wore a dress, and now my thighs are all chaffed.

I think the huge bottle of water I chugged must have contributed as well. I'm going to have to try out some of these suggestions on getting water down. I used ot be really good about drinking water, but it makes me so sick to my stomach lately. All I want now is coffee. I have my two real coffees and then drink way more cups of decaf than I should. I'm in a weird place with food where everything sounds good, but nothing sounds like anything I'd like to eat. DH went out to pickup Indian for tonight. It's my favorite food but I'm so afraid of how my stomach is going to take it. I know I should drink a glass of water because it's been so hot and I've been out in the sun, but my stomach still hurts from earlier. Gah. I'll try a milk before I just go make another decaf coffee. Maybe I should buy some diapers to feel betterr.

  • 21 weeks. I'm feeling decent. The past few days I get super tired after a meal. I forgot about that.

We are on vacation and I have no energy. It doesn't help that the weather is warming up. All I wanted to do was get back to our hotel room and out my feet up.

I have craved seafood like crazy this pregnancy. Right now I love tuna melts! Yum! I drink a ton of ice water. It has to have ice, even if im cold.

I'm jealous of all these sugary meals you ladies have! Too much sugar makes me feel faint so I have to take it easy. :(
