I just drove E over to my parents house even though I knew they wouldn't be there just so I could get her out for a bit. It's been unusually cold and I've had her cooped up for two days. I totally understand that feeling @chicagochic82

Ok, someone explain Sophie to me. I see lots of you all with Sophie and I saw they had it at Target for like $40 yesterday. What is the purpose of Sophie? Is she gold plated? What makes her so special that I would want/need to spend that amount of money on a rubber toy for my boy to slobber on. Genuinely curious here folks.

Lo napped a grand total of 45 minutes all day until around 5. Now he's been asleep for 2 hours. I usually start our bedtime routine around now... Tonight's going to suck.

Things have been crazy at H's work and he's worked like a bazillion hours this week. He has been heading to work at around 4am, and not getting home until after the kids are in bed. Me not having him here for even 5 minutes all week has of course meant this would be the week that all the kids would decide to make it their goal to totally melt down daily. He left for work this morning at 4am. DD1 had a 'snow day' again for cold temps. He called a couple hours ago to say he wouldn't be home until morning. I can feel a twitch taking over. This reminds me of when he was working 70+ hours a week on midnights and we never saw him and I was alone with the kids all of the time. It was hard then and I only had 2. I think that's the only reason I've survived 3 thus far is because he is finally on days. And, I'm about out of wine

@micabush He's a supervisor for a cross dock for General Motors.  They are short handed both with dock guys, and trying to train new supervisors. And, since it's a dock with doors opening and closing constantly, no heat. I'm sure he's spent quite a bit of time in the office trying to situate crap, but I'm sure he's been freezing his balls off out there today too. I thought about braving the cold, then I could hear the wind and thought again. Lol. i am with you. This winter crap can go away now.

Shut up @tiffletons518 that's in my field! I worked as a manager in a warehouse for Walgreens in Berkeley (shout out @micabush) that had no hear and it was miserable. Just give your H a hug and try to soldier through. The cold makes everyone cranky

@wasnotwas No kidding? And, the cold sucks. When he finally got home and we were in bed lastnight, I could feel how cold his feet were through my fuzzy socks. Not okay. Lol.

Yeah! I plan warehouses now instead of work in them (much more flexible schedule, you know first hand!!)

I literally wore underarmor cold gear under my clothes and ugg boots every day!

I saw an idea on Pinterest where the mom put a sticker or magnet on the side of the car (like near the gas tank door) and the bigger kid was supposed to put their hand on it while mom was dealing with car seat or whatever. Might work if you turn it into a game or haves really cool sticker.

My LO is in the no nap club as well. She took one nap the entire day. Thank goodness for daycare!!!! I didn't have to deal with Lil Miss Cranky.

Yeah, he has to wear dress pants, shirt and tie. Sort of limits how much he can layer comfortably. But, he tries! Ha.

Ben only normally does 35-45 min naps 3x a day. Skipping one is a major issue since he doesn't sleep that much. He was in daycare two days this week and it wore him smack out. He went to bed at 6:15 or 6:30 those nights! Slept well only waking up once per night. Then today we are at home due to the weather (schools and daycare closed) and it is obvious that he gets so much more stimulation at daycare. He skipped a nap and is in his crib awake playing his mouth guitar right now... Thankfully not crying anymore.

Yesterday, a 2 yr old child in my town was backed over and killed in his own driveway. Tragic accident!!! Please always check for your kiddos! That's why backup cameras are so important!

@funkyphoenix and @NikkiP15 it is painful waking up that early especially on the weekends. I'm hoping he's is not always an early riser. I haven't found any tricks that work to get him to sleep later.

I keep thinking I will get in the routine of it and get stuff done that early. Nope.

I do get a lot done, but now that I'm going back to work I will need to drop him off at daycare at 7. I will still need to wake him to change and feed him so most likely the same time will work best anyway. I want to sleep in. I dream of the day I will. However, I also recognize that my body clock is totally jacked now so it will probably take time to get back up to being able to sleep for 8+ consecutive hours! Lol.

My H worked 26 hours straight. He just got home less than 2 hours ago. I'm trying to keep 3 kids quiet until I can get us all ready to head to my mom's house. Haha. I can't even keep a straight face typing that. "Keep 3 kids quiet".
