We sent out birth announcements awhile back and holy crap I had no idea that we'd be bombarded with gifts in response. Good thing I stocked up on thank you notes. I'm going to have to do a "please no presents, only your presence" 1st birthday invite.

Some serious FWP. lol
What is FWP?
First World Problems.. It's how we make fun of ourselves when life is hard like I ran out of my favorite $60 bottle of rosé so I'll have to drink the $30 one..FWP
That's an actual scenario that I'm facing right now in the bath..

I'm kind of embarrassed now. But seriously I did not know people sent gifts post shower for BA's. Not to sound ungrateful but I don't need any of this. Can I cancel out the FWP if I return it all and donate to a 3rd world charity?
I'm behind, so apologies if I missed something big, but I just can't today. My supply has been dropping the past two weeks as I've been back at school, doing prep work and meetings. Today, DD was still hungry after both boobs (usually a one side eater) so I defrosted some bm from my stash. She sucked down 3 oz. After both boobs. I feel like a failure
A failure at what? Being the illest multitasker in the universe? Good Lord! That's a lot to handle, I wouldn't be able to do all that. Go easy on yourself-tomorrow is a new day!
Thanks @dani+california. I think I just feel like it's my fault: I could've been drinking more water, eating more/better, pumping every two hrs instead of getting too busy and going more like 4 hrs btween pumps... I'm hoping that nursing all the long weekend will help plus when I go back for real on Tuesday I'll have set pumping times so I'll HAVE to stop to pump and eat and drink. I'm not so good at taking time to take care of myself and it's killing me that now that's affecting my baby
Also, I think you misunderstood my comma, sorry I meant that I, as a teacher, am back at school for prep work/meetings. Not doing all 3 at the same time thankfully! The workload actually hasn't been bad, it's just not a regular schedule so I haven't been pumping like I need to.

Don't!!! More than once both of my boys have drank almost 9oz within an hour! She is just growing or super active
Laying on the floor in DD's room, hiding my phone under the crib while we play the paci game, and thinking, "How the heck would have I survived these almost 4 months without A14!?"
Seriously, you guys are awesome :X
Also, thanks @KatieGummow, I just assumed my boobs are failing but you're right she could also be having another growth spurt

I taped a couple episodes of Blossom last night. Now I'm feeling nostalgic for all my shows I watched growing up: Kate and Allie, Who's the Boss, Growing Pains, Mr Belvedere, Swans Crossing (had to sneak to watch that one), Alf, Family Ties, Charles in Charge, Out of this World. Are there any good kid-appropriate comedies on today? I feel like I should stock up on all the 80s and 90s sitcoms.
Feeling deprived because I have never heard of most of these and never watched any. My tv growing up was decorating shows or no tv.
87. My sister was born 1980. My parents didn't let us watch normal kid shows though so I always feel clueless about these shows. Our kid shows were MacGyver, Matlock and Perry Mason.
As adorable as A is, @mamrotu73 , I am glad Sullivan stayed with his daddy while I was out of town at my friend's wedding.. Bridesmaid with a baby doesn't work. And if my ears hurt on a plane, pretty sure my kid isn't gonna hang in as well as the pilots' kid.
That said.. I miss him so dang muuuuuuch! Get me home to my baby right meow!!!
@Tferr02 my dad the drill sgt only allowed 3 channels: Fox News, Discovery and wings. Video games were not allowed. The only people who in his opinion should play video games are people aspiring to be pilots. And as he had 4 daughters, none of us could become pilots, so no video games.
I'll give you all my interior, for your views and to have what I save up all year for as my back yard :x Ill post a pic of the view from my office on tuesday
My last flight is delayed ( I just wanna get hoooome. Also, there is an old lady waiting for the plane talking really loudly on her cell phone. Loud talker: "I'm gonna go home to a great big bone. Gonna snuggle right up to Earl and spend a little time!" Ummm.. Ew.
Once yesterday and just now while getting out of the shower I randomly burped up stomachs acid. Sorry, that's gross, but I haven't done that since I was pregnant. That was my very first pregnancy symptom. Probably just the tex mex we had for dinner but it definitely made me go hmmmm.
A few nights ago I had some acid reflux going on and I also thought, "Hmm, haven't had that since pregnancy". Noooot pregnant though!

Holding my tongue, holding my tongue. The older crowd (hanging with DH's fam) is talking about CIO from the newborn stage and agreed that "newborns get spoiled when you run in to comfort them every time they cry. You just gotta let them cry." Ugh, my heart.

It hurts me thinking of a newborn crying his or her little eyes out because they're hungry or wet or just plain uncomfortable and no one does anything because itll "spoil them"

And all those people will be like, "hey can I babysit?" "Nope."

I was hesitant to let my parents watch DS because my mom was so adamant about me putting him down because I "held him too much". I was worried she would just let him cry because he didn't need to be held but luckily they ended up doing okay.
I could just be hallucinating but I do believe this baby slept straight through the night (9pm-6am) we shared the bed so i could have possibly dream fed him half asleep and not remember. Oh well. Feels like my sleep was uninterrupted and I'm ok with that
