Can we do a onsie Christmas exchange again this year? I didn't participate last year cause believe it or not I was shy.
I didn't even know we had an exchange...
Yea it was a secret Santa and some website it was stickies forever and for everyone
Eelfster was used and @LoriMc12 headed it up. Not sure if she would be up for it again, or if some other ambitious go-getter would want to take the lead this time. Ambitious go-getter =/= me. [-X

Okay, I can't stand my hair anymore. Normally I hate myself with hair shorter than shoulder length, but I'm honestly about to take the scissors and go all 4-year-old medieval on it!
If I post a pic of myself, could anyone tell me my facial shape? I've tried to figure it out and I don't seem to fit in any of the "usual" ones. =/

Can't hurt to try right? Best hairdo I've ever had was corn rows. Really, best ever.

I've always wanted to do this too (post a pic of myself)! But more for wanting the stylish, fancy ladies that know a lot of hair to recommend something that would compliment my face.

That, too! XD My SIL is a cosmetologist, I just haven't asked her about my face shape. Trying to get a jumpstart on something that hopefully won't look ridiculous on me. :P

A had been STTN the past week or so. Just finished nursing him and now I'm getting the best snuggles. He doesn't snuggle during the day. Waking up at 1am is ok if nice snuggles are involved.
For now at least.
My kid started "snuggling" again after about a 2 week "I am a big girl and hold my head up ALL THE TIME" phase but now she just buries her head into my shoulder and lets out these loud squeals! It's so weird but so adorable!
Is it bad that I'm using the Friskies Cat Fishing game I picked up for the cat for Alera to interact with...? >.>;;
ETA: she loves diving forward with her mouth open to "catch" the fish on my phone, and hilariously is actually kind of good at it! Thank God my phone is in an Otterbox, it looks like it's been slimed. XD
Lol, I was doing that yesterday on my iPad! I think she likes making the water ripple. I love the fact that after a couple of minutes it say, "you won!"
My awesome sleeper is back! He sttn 11.5 hours and didn't cry when I went to get him! I don't even care if he is leaking poo in the diaper dept. Take that, teeth!
I just read Melody's story. My heart breaks for them. I would happily contribute to a sunshine mission, but honestly if she changed her name, she may want privacy and time to grieve instead.
@Vinny424 -I would say a lipstick in the same color family or temperature (warm or cool). Not matchy matchy, but not orangey or coral. I almost never wear lipstick. My DH hates it, so I only wear it on girls nights.
My poor baby is teething and miserable. Slept through the night twice (first time ever) and last night was up 5 x and cried all day...

So, DS is getting an ultrasound next week to check on something. It is probably nothing (hydrocele), but there is a chance it will require surgery (hernia).
I'm trying not to freak out about it, but my brother had the same thing and had to have surgery (I have no idea if there's a genetic component to this), and - this is totally irrational - but I had a kitten who had to have hernia surgery when I was in 4th grade, and she had a bad reaction to the general anesthesia and died, so I always freak out a little more than necessary about that stuff.
Good luck with the shots and teeth, ladies! After the little chiclets came all the way through we saw a night and day difference with Sullivan (sleep, attitude) so hang in there until it breaks all the way through the gums!
Holy shit. Put dd down at 6 because she was so overtired. Woke up at 7 to eat went right back to sleep and didn't wake up till midnight! Ate then went back to sleep till 5! Then slept till our alarm went off at 7!!
After 5 solid weeks of getting up every 3 hours at best I'm so excited!!
In case anyone loses their dosing chart for Tylenol (like I did), the attached chart is handy. The one thing to note (and the chart says the same like @poru did) infant and children's Tylenol is the same concentration, they just come with a different measuring device.
Coffe is going to be what gets me through the day. DD woke up to nurse at 12, so I got back to sleep around 12:30 or so, and then DH decided to shower at 1, so I was awake again until at least 1:45ish, and then dd woke up again at 2:30, so I pretty much didn't actually get to sleep for the night until 3, and got up at 6. So tired! At least it's Friday!
Thanks again for the support. Headed back home today after a brunch with some close friends, hubster and Merriwether. Looking SUPER forward to the rest of the day. Get to get us ready for vacation!
"Tomorrow, tomorrow! I love you, tomorrow! You're only a day awaaaaaay!"
My mom's best friend's daughter works for the local sheriff office and she just called to tell us that my cousin was arrested again. He's my age, actually only two weeks younger. I feel so bad for my uncle
I hope this weekend goes well. But we started off with waking up twice last night after sttn and up for the day at 0530. And his 4 month appointment and shots are smack in the middle of morning naptime. DH is going out of town.
I also just realized that when I told DH to pick up baby Tylenol, he got children's and it says ages 2-6. Gotta correct that on our way home in case we need it.
Just ask your doctor for the dosing information and make sure you have a syringe. No need to buy new Tylenol!
I was going to say this! It should be the same strength, 160mg/5ml. You can even show the pedi if you're worried. And the DS's office can probably give you a syringe.
I would be worried about a pediatrician that didn't know the FDA required children's and infants Tylenol to be the same suspension as a couple years ago! That being said, I feel like a educate people on that all the time because their doctor said only infant.
I have in occasion run into different suspensions still. But these were usually migrant workers and people who didn't realize the Tylenol was expired. You would think they'd do the same for IBU but even in this house I have 2 bottles with different concentrations...
DS had shots today too. Cried for a second and stopped as soon as I picked him up. After dealing with a kid who basically screamed his way through his first 2 mos of life, I feel like we're kind of getting some relief.
And he was also 70th %ile length, 25th for weight. He was 50ish for weight at 2 mos. my dd did the same thing.... I'm wondering if I make skim milk! Supply is fine, I pump 16-20 oz/day away from him and he seems content after eating. Hopefully "real" food at 6 mos will help plump him up.

@MrsW26 dd dropped from the 68th to the 16th between her one week and one month check. After constant weight checks her pedi finally realized that she's going to be smaller and grow slower. She's just over 12 lbs at 4.5 months. Just wanted to share our situation so you know it could happen.
I took fenugreek for a while to increase my production. It helped a little bit. More milk tea helped more for me. I think it depends on the person which supplement works for them
Leaving for the cottage tomorrow for a week! Ahhh so excited. Except it's effing FREEZING out today so I'm hoping for better weather! Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
THE cottage? Do y'all own one? That sounds so cute and cozy! I would love stay in a cottage some time.

Haha nope! We rent one in a different place for a week every year. We want to make it a family tradition! This year's cottage is conveniently located by a ton of antique shops, a drive in movie theatre and loads of wineries. COINCIDENCE?
Non.
That sounds perfect. 8-> Have tons of fun!

Packing for and with an infant is super freaking hard. Kicking my ass today. I wish hubster was here to help out. Also, I hope @KendraColeslaw wasn't fffcing about me.
Hey a14- could you throw a little juju our way?? We just got 30 days notice that we need to move and are a little stressed. We've been looking for a place to buy and had hoped to stay in this apt until we did, but our landlords sold and the new owner has family moving in. Gah.
We'll take all the prayer/juju/care bear stares you can spare. Xo!!!
@Poppyseedwindsor - don't assume that, hon. Of course @KendraColeslaw can speak for herself, but I think all of RTT is rooting for you and wishing you the best - she wouldn't post something like that to obliquely hurt you, especially when you're going through such a rough time. *hugs*
I mostly know that but then my self doubt speaks louder and is like "BWA HA HA EVERYONE HATES YOU!"
I know everyone here is awesome and I'm really lucky to have this community.
Also @allyandmike24 lots of good support headed your way. Lots of ladies here have moved in the past four months and hopefully they can share some advice. If you can throw amazing dinner parties, you can handle this!

Keep reminding yourself that that voice is a liar. 'Cause it is. That's depression talking, and depression fucking lies to you.
Exactly this. You're one of those people I see has commented on something and I get all "ooh - I want to see what she says, because she always cracks me up or is super insightful!"
Busy day. My mom watched bubba while i was out, but failed to listen to me about everything including how he naps and how to swaddle (I showed her how to before I left), so I came home to a screaming baby. Hopefully he stays asleep for a bit.
I'm hoping my MIL does better than my mom watching DS tomorrow night until we get home around 2 am. Celebrating my birthday in the city with my family and friends! Which means DH will have to get up with DS in the morning .
AND DH got the jumperoo for my birthday and thanks to amazon prime it will be here today! I wish it told me a time. I want it NOW!
