@aviola329 we did it when it seemed like all OG wanted to do was suck. It was killing my nipples at the time. Now she takes it mostly when she's content or just after a feeding to go back to sleep.
Dang it. I forgot what day it was. I was going to start a "Vicious fleabag Friday" thread lol. What do you guys think? Should we do it next Friday? That gives us lots of time to snap a good pic of our fur babies with the human babies! I've got a hilarious picture of my lab stuck in the boppy....
Any tips on how to keep LO's head still enough to use the nose frida? Every time I have a good seal, she jerks her head before I can suck anything out!
Used my registry gift card at BRU today. Got bamboobies, pump parts, a paci friend and a massive box of diapers. Not bad if I do say so myself. Hoping the paci friend helps Tommy adjust to a paci...it came with a soothie type, but unlike a wubbanub, it's Velcro so I can attach it to a different brand if I need to...he seems to like the bunny but isn't sold on the paci itself yet.
Also got the free dr browns bottle that started with this current sale!

My fur baby is scared of the real baby! I tried laying the baby next to and on him and he ran away. He'll come sniff him while I'm nursing and likes to herd me to the bedroom when the baby's crying, but doesn't want baby near him apparently. We may keep trying lol
Just be sensitive to your dogs anxieties. A lot of bites happen because signs of anxiety were ignored.

I wouldn't force your dog to do something he's uncomfortable with. Certainly work on building your dogs comfort around little one but be sensitive to his needs and watch his body language closely. Don't push him to hard too fast.
Being up so late/early can be nice sometimes. I like to watch the sunrise and it's nice to hear the birds come alive!
I don't mind this hour either really. My baby (5 weeks old today) always gets up at 4:00-4:30 to eat/be changed. Can't complain because like yours he's sleeping a big stretch .
@mamrotu73 awe I missed your post, I even looked for it! Stupid mobile.
Sorry about your friend as well. As a Canadian we have a different day to celebrate our troops but I've always had immense respect for American soldiers. They do a job that most of us are too afraid to even consider doing. Simply amazing. We'll make room in our prayers this weekend for your friend and her family.
After two nights from hell, LO has been sleeping great tonight; however, I'm still not sleeping because my boob hurts like hell. I need her to eat now!
@MrsStanton87 me too.i woke up to pump at 3 because B has been sleeping through it and waking up at 5, but she woke up and wanted to eat as soon as I was finished, then woke up at 5 to eat again...she totally having a growth spurt.
Went to Melting Pot last night for our anniversary. LO was great! I was really nervous because he melted down in the car on the way, but he quieted up when we took him out of the car long enough for me to change him and pop a boob in his mouth.
Only people who knew we had a baby there were the servers and the ladies in the booth across from us that M kept flirting with. I have a ladies man at only seven weeks!
I'm ready to quit. I am feeling like a horrible mom right now. My 2 year old skin is horrible, his excezma is awful and he keeps scratching it, making himself bleed. I'm using his lotions but none are helping. He has a dr appt for Friday but I feel awful for him. Also I have been realizing his speech is way behind other kids. He is so smart, he can do all kid safety locks in about 5 seconds, he is amazing at Legos. However, he can only put 2 words together and probably only has about 20 words. He gets do frustrated that he can't tell me what he wants. Now I feel awful that I haven't noticed this earlier. And to top it all off...he's walking pigeon toed now. I miss my DH and having his help.
@MrsStanton87 My little brother is graduating in 2 weeks too! My husband graduated 2 weekends ago, and because of this reason, I had introduced her to a bottle before she was 2 weeks. I only did it once a week, and she took it like a pro by the time his graduation rolled around. I plan to leave her home with MIL when I go to the graduation. It lasts from 8-12 (what!?), and I didn't want to screw up her schedule.
@cgoldian I've had my husband helping me, so I haven't tried it on my own. If I had to though, what I'd try is laying her down (or propping her up if you can) and using whatever hand isn't on the nosefrida to hold her face in place. I realized today that I didn't need to hold the part by my mouth since I can hold it pretty securely with my lips. Sorry, don't know if that's any help!

I'm not usually into frozen drinks but I'm in the mood for a good piña colada. When I go grocery shopping next week I'm totally getting pineapple and coconut rum, pineapple juice and coco Lopez and going to town on my blender when I return from said shopping trip.

from what I remember from my speech pathology major from around 1 year old on, theres just so much for kids to learn that sometimes speech takes the back burner. There is so much that kids have to develop in that time, physicially and mentally. If your kid is excelling in other areas, there might not be a whole lot to worry about with his speech. I'm not positive how old is the time to start worrying though, and obviously if you're concerned, get a speech evaluation. Hope the doctor appointment goes well and you find something to help. You can do it! You're crazy strong for going through this without your husband there, and it will all work out!
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...

I made Furbaby Friday this week... I could rename it next week. Or anyone else could do it because I forgot to make it the past couple weeks before this.
Might I suggest Ferocious Fleabag Friday, just to keep up with the alliteration?

@dani+california before I got pregnant I always had rum on hand. Vodka too. I have yet to stock up since having the child. All that changes next week though. I may have my sister and some girlfriends over to drink with me but I kinda wanna keep all the drinks to myself
FFSC: I get so annoyed and borderline stabby when my fb friends upload what they want for their birthdays and Christmas on fb. I know they're joking but part of me still thinks they're serious and I just get annoyed. Behold:

What is a waist trimmer?
No clue! But I'm annoyed that she wants someone to spend $550 on hair extensions (Brazilian body wave shit)
Salon time! I left DH with some fresh milk and he ha the whole freezer stash. So, I will probably go get lunch and shop a bit afterwards. I need something to wear other than target nursing tanks and maternity shirts!
So do I! It's so much cheaper in comparison to almost everything else, and it's usually what people have at events around here. Texans love their beer. I also feel this way about wine. Just not a fan.

I get jealous when the baby is being fed from a bottle by my bf (which isn't often). I know my bf loves being able to feed him and is probably jealous when I'm breastfeeding but IDK.

Ditto what dani said. You've identified an issue. Just go from here.

I should probably get serious about this whole pumping thing shouldn't I...
I have only offered a bottle once...but I suppose I'll need to soon since I'm going back to work in July...(
Also my left breast stings/ burns since yesterday... Hoping its not anything...
As far as not liking beer... Maybe you just haven't found the right beer?
