I knew I should have grabbed some potatoes while at the store today. They would have paired nicely with my little steak.

I opted for carrots and green beans instead.

Oh wow. Now I want a potato buffet. Fries, tater tots, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, hash browns, steak fries with honey mustard, grilled red little guys....all up in my face hole.

Napped til noon. Just got back from an early bird dinner with DH because he is working mandatory overtime tonight 5:30-midnight (he doesn't usually work on Sundays). Had Texas Roadhouse steak tips and mashed potatoes, which was amazing, but I couldn't eat much. Yay for leftovers! It's nearly 5 and I want a nap. I'm totally screwed for sleeping tonight....

I'm with you on the napping today. I got up with the dog a little after 6:30, then napped from 8:30-9:30, then went to church, came home, had lunch, wrote thank yous, napped again, and now I'm trying to figure out what to do when I have no energy and don't really want to be productive. So, I'm bouncing on my exercise ball and watching Hitch

I'm loving all of this potato talk.

So DH is going back to work tomorrow after being off for a week after DS was born. I'm feeling all sorts of sad and a little nervous that I'll be on my own tomorrow with DS.

DH's parents have starz, and we use their password to access their on demand type app on the xbox, so that's what I'm watching it on. I just started watching Royal Pains on Netflix though, and so far I'm enjoying that!

I'm a dirty lurker, and I miss keeping up with everything! Hugs to all you ladies that are stuck waiting and are uncomfortable, I wish there was something I could say to make it better. Hang in there, you're almost done!

Aiden and I were discharged earlier today, and it's so nice to be home. He's so tiny though that we have nothing that really fits him, so DH may have to take us shopping tomorrow to get him some clothes. Feeding is a challenge because of his size and blood sugar issues, and we're stuck with a manual pump until we get my prescription worked out.

Aiden has a new nanny; Duffy won't take his eyes off him.

Ugh my DH invited a work friend to come over and help the friend with his car. DH told me it would only take 30 mins to a hour. We are now on 6 hours. Tomorrow is my first day all alone with the 2 boys all day, but instead of resting and preparing, I've had both boys all day. And I never got to grocery shop. I'm so annoyed.

Nothing wrong with that. My mom is the same way. I on the other hand prefer little ones that just lay on your chest. The oldest I'll take em is 6-8 months that way they're still dependant of you but have a little personality

I had a moment of get this shit out of my house today. I threw away my sitz bath. Big. Mistake. My stitches are killing me now. Damn it!

And! These postpartum night sweats (more like I need Noah's arc to get me in and out of bed) might be the end of me and what little sleep I attempt to attain.

But gosh, I love my baby ❤️ so I guess I'll just have to deal

T&P please for my SIL. She is 16 weeks pregnant and started cramping and bleeding. I spent the afternoon with her, my BIL and my MIL. She has had a missed miscarriage. Baby stopped developing at 12 weeks. This is her second in a row. She is in having a D&C right now. I was hoping to visit the maternity wing at the hospital soon, but not for this.

Take a hot shower. It makes my stitches feel way better.

I'm 16 days PP and I'm still sweating throughout the night. It's awful.

DS just turned 1 week old. He is curled up and sleeping on my chest and I'm sitting here wondering how he fit inside me just a week ago.

Nope, no suggestions for that. I've been having them too. And when I actually sleep I've been drooling lol.

Ah you all have been so busy! So excited to see all these outside babies! Keeping up is hard! All I can do is lurk right now.

We are still in the NICU but will be released on Thursday. After some major breakdowns about nursing and stress in general the nurse practitioner assigned to us stepped in. She was able to get us "roomed in" with dd so now we have a bed, tv and food brought to us. Best of all we don't have to leave her and I can nurse on demand! I think that has totally helped my supply and my sanity. DD is doing great though. Responding really well to the antibiotics, so well they agreed to remove the monitors they had her on!

Side note: this swelling and bleeding is no joke.

@Emily041285‌ Your daughter is so adorable! I'm glad you are able to room in with her and feed her on demand. I can imagine how much that helps your sanity. Hopefully it won't be long until you are all home together.
