Guys! We're at the point in our pregnancies where birth stories are becoming the trend. I remember the days where I'd be sad for women because I felt like everyday there was a "loss mentioned" post. Now there's birth stories. I'm so happy for everyone. This is really happening. Our squishies are almost here!
I just keep impatiently staring at my phone waiting for an update from Mamamonzo! I'm so excited and nervous for her! I know baby was breech so I am not sure what's going on! Her last text just said "I am having a baby! OMG!" Aaaaaahhhhh!
Also, worrying about morning vs afternoon appts is CRAZY ladies. It's going to have THAT MUCH of an impact on the scale, and even if it does I would hope your dr isn't an idiot and would realize that you had eaten that day. Roll with the punches ladies, it's just a number. ::hugs::
Yeah I'm not so much worried about it as interested. There's that little part of me that hates knowing I'm going to hit a certain number, but I know I am healthy and the amount of weight I've gained is only going to be a little over what was recommended. Doctor brought up last appointment that I'm at the top of what I should have gained, so to stay away from the cookies, which I reassured her the doughnuts were the problem. Part of it is SO being a health nut and being very concerned about it (not so much the number, but because he knows I don't eat the healthiest of diets). But more so, I like to guess how much I've gained and I like the fact that this child has been disgustingly consistent, following the textbook like she's reading it in there!
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
ANNNNNNNNND parenting is back. Once again they jumped down someone's throat because they are A14 (and a fringe one at that). I rarely agree with mummyof6, but dear lord I just blow her off as much more "crunchy" than I am, not some evil threat affecting the safety of babies everywhere. And let's face it -- she has a lot of experience.
(I know I know I keep using the word crunchy in a way that is not proper -- I just lack a better term)
If you don't fit the script, they send in the attack dogs.
Not so patiently waiting to hear back from the vets. We took Tiger in to have a growth in her mouth looked at back at my inlaws, because we figured it would be WAY cheaper than here. Naturally, they think it should be removed. We brought her home, but will be back that way next weekend, so I'm trying to schedule the surgery for the end of next week, but she has to call me back. I HATE talking on the phone, and wanted to just buck up and get these phone calls taken care of in one shot. Now I have to wait to get called back, then I have to call our regular vet to get them to fax her records over to the other vet. BLAH. Such a pain in the ass, but worth it to save probably $600. I just want to know if she has cancer. It shouldn't be this difficult.
I hope it's not cancer! Fingers crossed
Sorry about the paperwork stuff. I think vets are faster than drs offices though! When I transferred my records they were like we'll it could take us a month...

But not pooping for 4 days before your appointment has to make some kind of impact, right?
I weight myself on my wii fit and the little thing shoots way up and makes a sad sound and says "that's obese!" And I have my laugh for the week.. Then I go eat a snicker ice cream bar and tell that bitch he doesn't know my lyfffeeeeeee!!!!

You know, I think one of the latest posts there explained it all. If that's really what they think of as the "least offensive" way to respond to something... no wonder.
Can the board crashers/parenting folks just go away quietly? While I'm all for opinions and information from the BTDT crowd, I don't think we need the extra nasty they seem to bring along with them... 8-|
Girl on facebook might get induced next week at 37 weeks. When I asked why she said she is having "really bad contractions almost everyday and shes dilated to 3 and has been that way for a while."
Okay I'm a STM, but I don't remember (it's been four years!)... Does your milk come in and make your boobs bigger before the baby comes? I don't remember this happening last time, but in the last week I haven't had any rapid weight gain or anything yet still my boobs have gone up an entire cup size. They are enormous. And they're still not leaking, so not sure what the heck is going on!
I just don't understand how some of these people have time to work multiple boards, and zone in on "offenders" on said boards. I'm just starting to feel like I have some level of comfort with who I like and/or agree with most of the time on this board, and I've been here for months. How do some have that much time to form opinions about so many anonymous persons on so many different forums?
Getting monitored in l&d for cramping and vomiting all night... Little man keeps kickin the contraction monitors messing up their tests. Note to self have sex at a normal time of day. Had morning sex yesterday for the first time in so long and of course I have to keep telling different nurses drs.. Yesterday at 7 am. Awkward. So awkward.
People who are wondering where parenting crusaders are its the breech version be c sec thread. @deidremaria and others?
While I don't agree with mummys advice it was just one more option to consider. Should she be called out on it? Maybe. But they have to bring the drama when they do it.
@chichi589 hope everything is alright. The one time I ended up in L&D LO couldn't stand the monitors either. She was kicking at them like crazy.

I hate having to look up nutrition information for so many things thanks to GD. Looked up the carbs in a Kwik Trip cheeseburger and ran into the rest of their menu... now I want about half of their slush drinks. *facedesk*

I agree with @poru. They totally turn honest curiosity threads in to shit shows for their own entertainment. I really felt bad for the OP in the blood sugar thread.
And really, are people honestly going to go out and do whatever mummyof6 says? I think not.
@Sisimama10 I wouldn't say you are producing full milk yet but your body is definitely prepping for it and you probably have a small bit of colostrum. Leaking or not leaking doesn't really mean anything. Boob growth is random in pregnancy so I not too surprised whenever it happens.
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~

Ugh!!! I'm so peeved!!! I've been dealing with the one provider for breast pumps in my area (which btw is a huge metro so how is that possible) that is covered by my insurance. Turns out every time I call the customer service and they tell me the girl has it on order she didn't. She has no clue who I am!!!! And on top of that my insurance who at first told me I could get it at any time is now saying I have to wait till lo is born. It's been 6 weeks with the company and I still don't have one. I sure as hell not going to wait that long when the baby is here!!
Oh and the lovely cs rep at the insurance company kept saying they needed to make sure "there was a birth first" before I could order one. What other option is there?! You basically want to make sure my baby is born alive?!?!
If you see in the news that a pregnant lady went crazy at a medical supply company and is in jail that would be me.....
Just had my doctors appointment. Doctor says "baby is pretty low so she's probably small.... Oh, oh no. This is a big baby. Definitely a big baby." Haha yeah, we breed em big! Also love it because whenever people ask how big of a baby I was (I was ten lbs) they follow it with "oh well you don't look big so the baby must not be taking after you." Suck on that, she is taking after me. Atta girl! Not gonna be a five pounder like your father.
I don't know why I'm so excited about it, but I am. also less than a cm dilated and 75% effaced. All good for 36 weeks 4 days.
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
Why are they crashing our party! Is it my fault, that joke about crashing their UO/FFFC thread? cause if so that was a week ago. get over it!
Yay for Mamamonzo!!!!! I actually cried when I read that this morning! So exciting! I told DH and I think it freaked him out a bit cause I'm 36 weeks on Sunday, which feels so close!
In other news, I think I have SPD, every time I stand up I get stabbing pains low down. Oh fun!
I have to stop moaning, DH actually got annoyed with me last night. Seeing as he has been really good till now, I need to rein it in, but god when you hurt all over its really hard!!

@avidkeo, sorry about the pain. I completely understand where you're coming from. I start off every day feeling like I have been kicked in the girly bits. That fades, but by the end of the day, my back hurts so much I look like a beached whale when trying to get up off the reclining sofa.
DH actually asked me if I need to get a a new chair until LO gets here. I am not buying new furniture that I'll only need for six weeks.
I'm pretty sure he was talking about something like this:

Thank you @Twirple, I needed that little bit of sympathy!!
Your pic didn't show for me, but it was nice of your DH to suggest something to ease you!! I think my DH is just a bit put out because I have been great for 34 weeks, but the moment I hit 35 (literally, this all started on Sunday!) I have been in agony! He couldn't believe I took an hr long bath on Monday night, I never have baths that long. And I don't think he actually knows what to do.
Edit: quote burp!

We need a RTT rule. If you change your avatar I need you to tell me what it used to be. I remember everyone's pictures more than their names. Then I feel all guilty for not knowing everyones name. I can't be the only one!?
Your not the only one. If it has numbers in it, I can't retain it.
