It's the nature of TB. If you post on one board all the other boards seem to think you're a different race of people or something. I stand by my poop statement, nobody can take that away from me.
That I have issues with public pooping and I don't like it when other people do it. I just don't need to know, hear, or see anyone doing it. They got mad because they poop at work. I was just talking about while shopping at target or something. I was asked to stay and confess, so whateve's. I'm 34, I don't do snark.

I agree with you normally and would avoid pooping in a pulic place at all costs even if it meant deiving home. unfortunately though one time after dinner with a friend I found myself on the side on an icy road at 11 at night clutching cheese cake factory napkins after getting the feeling that my bout with constipation had taken a 180 thinking "this is going to be the day I shit on the side of the road I have never been so low" the cramping let up and I was able to get to y grandmothers house but since that night I have had to ease up on my fear because pooping in a public toilet is way better than pooping on the side of your hometowns main cut through street.
That is awesome. Honestly, I think because I've always been poop shy I just never HAVE TO unless I'm home, alone. I've somehow managed to train my bowels not to move unless it's totally convenient for me. Vacations are rough though.
I tend to get confused at the hate for the concept of RTT. I can definitely understand taking an issue with something specific that was said in RTT. It's just the overall hate I don't get.
"An 800-page thread is stupid by nature." Okay, why? It started out as an outlet for us bored pregnant ladies to AW/vent/whatever without cluttering up the board (easy access for those who like it, easy to ignore for those who don't), but became more of a community within a community. In general we know each other better than we know the people who don't participate, but it's not exclusive and douchey. Anyone else could join at any time. It's not like we expect anyone to read through 800+ pages. I damn well haven't. True, part of it was a "let's just see how long this goes before TB shuts it down," but it had a purpose beyond that.
I dunno. I actually like Parenting's board-wide UO/FFFC thread and most of the people in it crack me up. Part of it though (and maybe sort of ironic) is that at this point it's exactly what RTT is: someone makes a comment, then other people offshoot into conversations of their own based on that comment. It's the same thing. There might be a misconception that RTT is actually just a bunch of crazy pregnant women jumping into this thread and posting shit like "HOOBLY DOOBLY!" and then jumping back out. It's not. It's a stream of conversations.

I'm super Debbie downer today, but all I can say is OH HELL NO.
They started doing construction next to my apartment in January which consisted of ground leveling that literally shakes the walls of my apartment. I called to complain that they hadn't even warned us about upcoming construction and asked when the loudness would be over. The lady assured me the ground shaking was over. Yesterday I got home around 5 to the walls shaking again, and this morning at 7:30 it started again. OH HELL NO I told that chick the first time that I was pregnant and needed to be assured that this was going to be over before the baby came. If not, we were going to move last month. So now here I am, 35 weeks pregnant, exhausted as hell and the fucking walls are shaking. And state law requires at least 3 weeks notice to move from an apartment, meaning even if we WANTED to move at this point, it would be a week before my EDD.
EFF YOU BITCHES. Can't wait til the office opens today.
OH even better? My upstairs neighbors dogs LOVE the construction. All 3 of those massive beasts are running around barking. Someone is going to get punched today, I can feel it...

This is me. It's like my body knows when I'm at home. I'm also extremely poop shy - it drives DH nuts because whenever we're at a hotel, I have to turn up the TV loud and play music. It's not like I think DH will judge me (everyone poos) but I would seriously not be able to go if I knew he could hear me.
I think being in the April caboose is going to be like watching all your older friends turn 21 first. Everyone waits the same amount of time, but watching everyone else go first is no fun!!
It'll be fun at first! And then it will progress from fun, to longing, to envy, to ugly crying over the course of 3-4 weeks.

So I'm seriously considering beginning my leave at 38 weeks instead of when I go into labor. I get 12 weeks but I want to stay at least 10 weeks with this little guy. However, coming and going to work is torture, work is just a giant stress ball, and I'm worried I will go into labor here at 5 pm or something. No point really I just wanted to lament, do I just leave at 38 weeks and bank on going into labor at 40 or do I just tough it out? Bah.

HOOBLY DOOBLY!! No seriously, you nailed it. RTT is not stupid, nor is it awesome. It's so laid back that nobody actually has to say, "stick around, we're fun" because nobody cares. I just busted up in here with no invitation or introduction and if I say something stupid nobody has to call me out on something I say that is vaguely and randomly offensive. Anyone is welcome but don't expect dramas if you are offended. I agree that most of the women over there are pretty funny and can pop in when they want. And this is in response to @bluebird2318. I'm lazy so today I'm just air quoting.
Dear LO, Please get your foot out of my ribs. It has been there almost all day every day for the past week and I'm pretty sure its bruised on the inside. When I rub it, its not so that you can push back, its so that that you will move! Love Mom

Mwa ha ha ha - new avatar!! B-) The photo is almost three years old now, but I love it! It's one of my favorite engagement photos that DH and I had taken... I can't wait to get new family photos once Peanut gets here - squee!!
Edit: I suppose I should say hopefully new avatar, since it won't update on my computer. Maybe the new avatar is shy?
I've been reading the thread the past couple days, not having much to say. so hoobly doobly. Thinking about reading the TB wide thread, but I like it here. It's much more relaxing for while I eat my pink dip and chips (which is sour cream and salsa mixed together) mmm dairy

I'm battling the same thing. You know about my work stresses and I just want to be GONE, but the moneyyyyy... do you still have time to decide or do you need to give them notice if you want to duck out early?
I hear you about the shifty workplace. I've already submitted the paperwork for my leave but I can leave anytime I want now.

I give zero fucks what goes on on other boards. Don't understand board wars. Snooze.
@kendracoleslaw perfect analogy. I was the last of my friends to turn 21 and I am a 4/30 due date. People talking about being 36 weeks makes me want to cry that I still have so far to go!
Amen.

Ok definitely want to stay here, just opened the parenting board and the first thread is "Which country should I be the most afraid of?" I don't have the energy for that these days.

Kind of related but kind of not. I am having the opposite issue as a SAHM and am worried about going into labor early! DH's mom is waiting to hear when we want her to come stay with us and I am leaning toward 38 weeks because I am paranoid. If I go early and she isn't here we have no one but DH to watch DD and I would be in L&D alone.

My MIL told me she has had this feeling that I will have these babies when my mom is here visiting. That's next week. I will just barely be 34 w. Let's just shut up with comments likes those.

Same here! But then I keep thinking, what if LO is a week late (or more)? Then I will be mad I used that time up. I think I will try to power through.
This is day #3 of our snow days and DH finally went to work today. I can't say I'm complaining because I really just want to be left alone and clean the house without him here to pester me. Now to get DD to take a nap so I can be in peace for a little while!
