It seems our RTT is starting a trend. Feb board has one up now... Their RT is related to pregnancy. Clearly we have something smart going here! =D> Love me some RTT it's the first thread I check and usually the only one I comment on.
Side note: contractions stopped, but I feel like shit.. Weak, headache, back is killing me. Wahhhh I just want to feel normal.
I woke up way to early. My stupid hip hurts again. I have 2 questions that don't deserve full threads. First, do you plan to write/type a birth plan? I love the idea of being so organized but it seems like what is going to happen will and they usually go out the window? Second, gownies.....stupid or cute? Hope everyone has a good day.
I wont write one...my husband knows what I want and how to ask for it when I'm unable to so. My midwives (all 4 of them) also know what I'm looking for and fully support it. But if it helps you organize your thoughts and figure out a game plan then I don't see the harm in it
I think the gownies are a bit of a waste. You will likely get junk on your gown and really wont care what you look like when you are in labor.

My son got sick before Christmas with Bronchitis and pink eye. His pink eye got better and his bronchitis seemed to be almost completely better, but yesterday he started crashing. He's coughing all night and is just wanting to snuggle today (so not his nature). Unfortunately he doesn't have a pediatrician here yet, his new patient appt is scheduled for feb 3, so I'll have to take him to a walk in...trying to decide if it's time to go to one again. He makes me so nervous with colds. He's 23 months, was born at 37 weeks and his lungs were a little immature when he was born, he had to be in the oxygen globe for a little while. All last winter, actually for 6 months, he had to be on a nebulizer because colds went straight to his lungs. I hate my baby being sick.
Gownies seem like a waste to me too. I'll buy a decent pair of post-birth pajamas (since I don't own any and don't feel like sleeping in my underwear in the hospital) but not a delivery gown.
Is it dumb to buy a double stroller when my 3 year old is already 35 pounds and the weight limit on most are 45-50 pounds?
Really depends on your lifestyle and if you think you'll get a lot of use out of one. My 4.5 year old is still under 40 pounds. If it interests you, you can always wear the baby when your DD wants a break from walking.
DD was 3 yrs 8 months when DS was born and we used a double (still do) but we go to a lot of places where we do a lot of walking. Now that she is older we aren't using it quite as much.

@thomas930 now that I read my OP I sound like an idiot ::face palm:: I should have added the K'Tan looks more comfortable for baby... Am I off base with that? Which ones are no no's because of the position of the legs

Glad your contractions have stopped, but I hope you get a break and start feeling ok!
Lurking over in feb now and just read thread "dh leaving for a week" about a h who is going on a hunting trip out of state while his wife is 35 weeks pregnant and on bed rest. Oooh Lordy. Putting on my judgy pants for this one.
The only thing being hunted would be my husband!

@Mamamonzo When used correctly they actually put baby in the same position. Some people say the K'tan is easier since you don't have to tie it...I think that's really the biggest difference.
I have no first hand experience with using the K'tan but I have used my Moby with both kiddos and I love it.

For all those that recommended the burts bees tinted lip balm, nice rec!! I bought some on the airplane ladt nast night (duty free on board). Love it. I need another tube for my bag :-D
I would SO not be ok with that! DH already has to sweeten the deal to get a night out with his friends, an entire trip would not be happening in this house.
Our hospital tour is today, I am kind of wicked excited!!
I tried to get DD in a sibling class, but they are for 2-5 year olds, she is 10. I am hoping to get her in to babysitting course. I want to take all they classes they offer I am not a FTM but a decade is a long time ago.

The September 14 thread on the First Tri board has an RTT feel to it since they are still waiting for their board. It's so weird to see Sep14 when I was supposed to be Sep13. Time has truly flown by.

I had a dream last night that I went into labor and that the baby was a girl, not a boy as we were told at the A/S..... And DH was not my DH, but Eric Northman from True Blood... Holy crazy pregnancy dream....
Tonight starts our 4 week "prepared labor" class. Not sure why I'm so worried about it. Maybe because this makes it seem like April is a little too close.
I'm having a lot of pressure down there, which is causing me to visit a restroom every 10 mins. ughh!! The kicks to the bladder aren't fun either. We're only a family of 4 and I had to go to Costco for a super family size toilet paper bundle. ::End Vent::

Um....no. I'd be going on my own little hunting trip online....to find a lawyer!!!!
