@hlm184 such a relief! I hope he'll be back to 100% soon!
@lia619 I'm so sorry for your terrible night. Do you guys ever bed share? When Shea is upset and the crib is hot lava I can often get him to fall asleep by snuggling in my bed. I'm terrified of all out bedsharing because of the way H and I sleep but maybe worth a try?
@Jessimax I get your worries about the back to work on no sleep. I hope that you and your H can come to an understanding. It seems like most of those wakeups must be for comforting and he should be able to assume one or two. Hopefully something goes your way soon.
Hugs to the sleepless mommas. We just went and dropped some serious cash (well, swiped a credit card) for a Tempurpedic mattress yesterday. The mattress we have had for a few years was a lemon, I think - the piece of crap turned saggy and uncomfortable almost immediately. Both DH and I always wake up tired and in pain. The new bed gets delivered today and hopefully we will get better sleep.
...Too bad a new mattress won't help LO sleep through the night, but I will take what I can get!
I hope it helps! We're getting a new mattress after we move and I can't wait!
Infant feeding formulas were introduced in the later half of the 1800's. 1867? I believe. Anyway here is everything you've ever wanted to know on the history of feeding babies:
We've had a two week streak of absolutely horrible sleep (up almost every hour to nurse), but last night I saw a glimmer of hope - LO only woke at 11 then slept til 5! I might have soaked the bed... but so glad for a little relief!
What is your LO wearing for PJs in the cold months? We're outgrowing the 9 month cotton PJs, but I'm realizing all the 12 month PJs we have are fleece. LO is a sweaty baby; he gets soaked in the carseat in the warmer months.
We keep it 73-75 (his hands get cold) upstairs where his nursery is. WWYD? Stick with the fleece and lower the temp or pick up a few cottons to test?
We stopped doing blankets at night because of a scare, so it's just PJs. I mostly just worried he'll either be too hot (with fleece) or too cold (with fleece = cold hands/face) depending on the thermostat. I'll probably buy a pair of cottons to trouble shoot with at first.
Night 3 of shittiness has begun. Got DD down and now she's been up twice inconsolable each time. She's only been "in bed" for 45 mins. Say a prayer for my sanity and that we make it through this night alive.
DS's sixth sense is knowing to wake up right after I drift off to sleep.
DD also has this skill. She usually gets up to eat around 11 so I try and stay up till then. But no matter what, she wakes up about 5 minutes after I close my eyes.
DH's dad passed away. He had been off the ventilator since Thursday. It just sucks because today is DH's birthday and his dad passed away an hour ago. I wish he could have died yesterday or tomorrow. Now forever his birthday will always be a shitty day
My SIL is pregnant again! (The one who lost her baby about 4 days before Aislyn was born). They are understandably waiting to tell people except my brother slipped and told my mom who then to me even though she wasn't suppose to. I really suck at secrets I know I'm going to blow this!
