We're painting the nursery today! Peach walls with baby blue accents. I bought some gold polka dot decals. I'll post a pic as soon as it's done, but it'll be alice in wonderland inspired.
I love everyone's pics! This is inspiring me to get going on our nursery. I like seeing how they're all different, but still really cozy. You can see how much love is going to each room. :-)
We painted the walls a light coral, and have picked out some navy and coral bedding. I also ordered some gold flower decals to put on the call, but am on the hunt for some lace curtains, a navy and white striped rug, an antique mirror and a dresser.

We are doing a nautical theme for our baby boy. We just moved so we haven't even started on the nursery! I am starting to freak out a bit. As soon I finish unpacking we are going to start on the baby's room. I am doing a white and blue striped wall that the crib is on and blue and red accents throughout the room.
Love seeing all these cute rooms! Our poor second child is getting nothing new! Haven't even put together the bassinet yet. Baby will be sleeping in the room with me until it's sleeping thru the night. Then we will redo the kids room cause I'm not giving up my guest room/ Hs man cave just yet.
You ladies are making me feel so behind! Our nursery is full of junk (like, stuff from the prev owners in the closet still) and has nothing but a crib (no mattress or bedding yet) in it. Hoping to buy paint and get that going tomorrow since H has the day off! Plan is navy and white, white furniture, tan glider. Hoping to get the Hemnes dresser from Ikea for one wall, and some sort of low cubby storage system for the opposite wall. No theme, really, but I keep finding adorable white jungle animals that I love
We went gender neutral colors with some Winnie the Pooh in it. We still need to finish the built in (shelves and doors) but for the most part it's done.
My pictures have been coming out so dark so I need to try again later. But we're doing pink, white and gray and I'm still toying with adding pops of teal on there (I'm thinking maybe an end table in teal like @katydid164 has next to her rocker). We have the walls painted, new floor put in and new base board. We just need to finish the trim on the floor which will be next weekend. The crib is white; I need to go buy the mattress next weekend and then I can put the bedding together.
The bureaus we bought unfinished and painted white and put glass knobs on them. And the curtains are white ruffles. The rug is gray & white. I absolutely LOVE this room and going in there just makes me smile so big :-) I still need to buy the glider (next weekend; gray and white) and put some artwork on the walls and figure out some closet organization. I'm hoping to finish up the big things next weekend and then just work on washing/organizing until the baby comes.

I have the curtains up... that's it. My husband just got the queen size bed out of there and all of the junk has been finally moved out. We still have to get our crib back from my sister, and we have to switch dressers since the one with the changing pad is still in DD1's room. I bought the letters to paint and hang up, but I haven't painted yet. We are doing a lilac chevron theme, but with the possibility of moving, we don't want to paint the walls (keep it a neutral tan color). I guess we need to get going as there are only 9 weeks until my c-section date.
I just discovered the nursery I wanted and have been planning since before I was pregnant is no longer being made. I want an Eric Carle themed nursery. Pottery Barn had the bed set but now they don't. They no longer make the sheets or the comforter. I am so bummed. Now I feel like I need to start over and pick something just to pick something because I am running out of time and my shower is soon Maybe I'm being dumb and its just my hormones, but I am just sad

You can pretty much get all of the stuff on ebay right now. It's pricey, though. I don't know how much the quilt was originally, but it looks like it sells for about $150 now.
@lisap0924 - have you checked amazon or eBay for the bedding? Hopefully you can find it there!
As for us- we are doing a travel/adventure theme for baby boy with a large Scout and Sadie wall map to match the world map sheets and I found this super cute quilt on zulily last week!
We don't have everything put together yet, still waiting on a glider, but the crib is up and the walls are painted! We chose gray with accents of light blue and brown and white furniture. We have a globe that shower guests and family have all signed as part of the decoration.
Here's the quilt- it's originally from Whistle and Wink. They've got some super cute (but pricey) stuff!
@FLFishOutOfWater while I was melting down my husband was frantically searching online. He said he found it, and not to worry. So I trust him I have found other random stuff on Amazon too (lamp shade, curtains ect)
So I am registered at Pottery Barn for the few Eric Carl Items they have left, we are registering at Babies R Us this weekend for all the other stuff. Would it be silly for me to register on Amazon for all the random stuff?! My husband and I have a large family, we have lots of friends and I have lots of co-workers who want to buy something for this baby, but I don't want to come off as greedy or selfish I just want to give people options. What do you ladies think?
Everyone's ideas are great! We are going very neutral for our baby girl. I'm not a huge fan of pink throwing up everywhere;) I took some long curtains to the tailor who is turning them into valances, so I'm just waiting to get those back. Other than that just stocking up on clothes and diapers and waiting for the shower!!!
@marthah05 - I'm due March 1 and ours isn't started either. We picked the room but have not emptied it and have a carpet (although we still have to take up the old one and clean the hardwoods...).
@lisap0924 - not greedy at all. I registered for a ton of stuff at several places for the completion discounts. My mother shamed me with my wedding registry - but people bought us what they wanted - at many price points. I wasn't the least upset when I didn't get certain things -both big and little - the main reason I had them on there was for the discount!
We don't have a nursery. People keep asking us questions about how we're decorating it, what the theme is, is it ready, yada yada.
The baby will be in our room for a while. We will have a co-sleeper next to our bed and everything else (dresser/changing table, pack n play..) set up in in our room. Our master bedroom is huge so we have plenty of room.
Is this weird/unheard of or something?
We are thinking the same thing @saltyfins! We will be working on the nursery the next few weeks. If it's not 100% by the time our boy arrives we are not stressing. Like you, he will be in our room for a bit.
We don't have a thing done yet! I was supposed to start over break (maternity leave plans and nursery), but husband changedy plans. Week 1 was getting ready for Christmas, week 2 San Diego, and week 3 is Vegas. I love him but vegas is no place for a 30 weeks along with twins pregnant lady with sciatic nerve issues. Anyway, our theme is classic Winnie the Pooh because we wanted something gender neutral since baby girl and baby boy will be sharing.
We are doing grey and white with some pops of baby blue. Mostly just going with colors and patterns, but we will have a few puppies around. Also, he has gotten the nickname Grover, like Sesame Street so he already has a few grover items, but they won't be a part of the theme. Can we do this again mid-February when it's more complete so more of us can AW the pics?
Love everyone's ideas and nurseries so far! So cute!
Everyone's nurseries look so great! Ours is very slowly coming together. Crib built- but waiting for mattress and glider to arrive. Our inspiration are these crazy prints of animals wearing human clothes which I found on etsy. THe best part- on the back they have descriptions of the animals- for example the cheetah's eye has long since healed but he finds the eye patch is a real conversation starter with the ladies. Fun times!

We have a 2nd bedroom, but DD is in it. Baby will also be in the corner of our room for the first 6-12 months.
Isabella's room was painted today. I love the color and almost cried when I walked in after the paint dried. I can't wait to get the furniture painted.
Love everyone's pics!!! We're renovating our apartment now, and we are redesigning DS's room. The baby will be in our room for awhile, but the kids will eventually share a room. So I'm excited to see it all come together in the next couple of weeks. I'll post pics when we make some progress.
It's a work in progress. I never in a million years thought I would have a pink room! But here we are with all pink I just have lots of details to still do, everything else will be white and gold.
I love the floral! If I would re-decorate DD's room- it would look like that.
Actually, since you guys have been talking about this, I've been thinking of changing her room up a bit, and actually getting decor and hanging art on her walls. I want to have the baby nook finished by this weekend too. I just need to hang some stuff and get another fabric basket and I think we'll be good
I have a question ladies, do you think I should leave this wall alone, and just keep the letters? Would a piece of art around it, or decal, look nice? I just feel like it looks a little bare. The Eiffel tower comes off (it's just a cut out).

I think, because the name isn't the same scale as the crib, it could use a bit more weight. Maybe a long, horizontal print of something in a white frame above the name (or switch them so the letters are on top.) Although aesthetically I'd like to see the art closer to the crib, for safety, it probably shouldn't be any lower.

I'm "mostly" done. I have a few little projects I'm still working on, including doing a border around the quote on the wall, but I'm pretty well underway to having a finished nursery.
For those of you with your changing pad on top of the dresser- is the changing pad secured to to the dresser in any way?
For my son I used Velcro stickies so the pad wouldn't slide around. When my son outgrew the pad I just took off the stickies and used rubbing alcohol to take any leftover stickiness.

Yea, I wish they were bigger too, but for sentimental reasons I want to keep them there. @gnomemom thanks for the frame idea, I think I might steal it. Hopefully it'll look more put together. I might add some glittery buttons to her letters too.

It's cute! I love the little Eiffel tower. How about a vinyl decal frame to go around it? Something like this, but don't get the name inside: https://www.etsy.com/listing/79255766/personalized-name-vinyl-wall-decals?ref=sr_gallery_10&ga_search_query=vinyl+decal+large+frame&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery
Most Etsy sellers will customize the size, so you can make sure it will be large enough to go around what you have on the wall.
