Introduce yourself: Hi, I'm acleverusername or "Clever" for short. I've been a long-term member of TTGP here on TB since Jun 2020. I live in California's central coast, but this is recent (Jan). Before that, H and I bummed around the Bay Area for 4 years. But we're both originally from 🇨🇦 (Ontario). We're both really enjoying the California weather and it's really hard to think about moving back.
Due date? April 2 or 3.
How did you find out? Well, we've been trying for 2.5 years, so I'm not one to test early anymore. But I was supposed to have a bone marrow biopsy under anesthesia on 11DPO, so I took a test at 10DPO, and had to cancel the biopsy as my doctor didn't feel it was required given the new circumstances. I've had good line progression and good beta progression as well.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): H and I have been married since Feb 2020 but we actually first met/briefly dated (read: hooked up) in 2009. Alas, at the time neither one of us were in a place to pursue a relationship, but we stayed in touch. We reconnected in 2017 and the rest is history. This would be our first 🌈 child, after a CP in Sep 2021, and an MMC/D&C in May 2022. We have 1 adorable corgi. She's 2.5 years old and has been a huge support during our difficult TTC journey. For fun, I've spent the last 2 years heavily invested in learning all I can about infertility so that I can advocate for myself. I can now teach a course in IF. Both H & I work in tech. For fun, we like to take in the natural beauty of where we live, take our dog for a walk, read, listen to podcasts / audiobooks, and we also now have a subscription to Masterclass as we're both avid learners.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Given our loss history, I'm very guarded with my feelings. It sucks, but the emotional crash after last loss was too much to bear. I am being followed by a reproductive immunologist and he wants me doing scans every week, so I guess I'll at least have that reassurance. Hopefully this will be my permanent Bump group after a very brief séjours in 2 other BMBs.
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Kristin (33), from Norway but living in the PNW.
Due date? April 5th.
How did you find out? We’ve been TTC since January ***tw*** with a CP two months ago (I had a drive-by appearance in the January 23 board). I found out a week ago when the FRER showed two lines at 9dpo, to my huge surprise! I’ve never had a test turn that early so hopefully that’s a good sign.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have a son (3) and a husband (46). We don’t currently have pets, but we’re cat people. When our 21 year old cat died last year we decided to take a break from pets.
I work at a construction company, in the office. When I had free time and energy (read: before my son) I enjoyed painting and drawing, hopefully someday soon I’ll have the time and drive for that again!
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Nervous! ***tw*** I had a CP before my son, and then again two months ago, so the early days of pregnancy is always scary. I’ve been peeing on sticks for a week straight and finally decided to stop today because it’s doing more harm than good for me mentally, even though I’m seeing good line progression. I just called to set up my first prenatal appt yesterday and they won’t even see me for a US until week 10! Argh.
Physically I’m slightly queasy, fatigue has already set in, and my boobs are sore.
DS born 2/18/2019 DD born 4/1/2023 Baby #3 EDD 11/21/2024
Introduce yourself: Becky, 32. I am a teacher in the Chicagoland area. We have been married five years now! We have a dog and a 3 year old daughter. We’ve been TTC for about 13 months now, TW, with a blighted ovum MC in January and a CP last month.
Due date? April 1
How did you find out? Via a pregnancy test that I took after also testing positive for COVID
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Whoops. Mentioned some of this above. For fun, we like to travel, play board games, ride bikes. I like to read and craft when I have the time and energy!
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Not really many symptoms yet. It’s hard because with also having COVID, I’m not sure if this debilitating fatigue is COVID, pregnancy, or both. Peeing a lot, too. It’s strange because with both my losses, I felt strong symptoms right away. With my daughter, I had no symptoms either, so I’m just really hoping third time is the charm. With both my losses, I also had an immediate sense of anxiety and dread that something bad was going to happen, and with this one, I feel like I have a normal level of caution/anxiety, and am excited and hopeful. I did advocate to be seen earlier than the standard 8 weeks, so my first scan will be about 6.5/7 weeks.
Introduce yourself: Hello! I'm Alexis (29) from the Northeast of US.
Due date? April 5th
How did you find out? I wasn't feeling great and had been TTC since May 2021. Positive test a week after PCOS diagnosis and on the same day my IUI cycle was approved.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have 2 cats, Sophie and Chihiro, and a 9 mo. Old puppy, Octavia. I read a lot and take Octavia for long walks but other than that I'm boring! I work for my father-in-law in the construction business and my husband manufactures cartilage at a lab.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I've been feeling nauseous and tired lately, not too bad yet!
How did you find out? My husband and I have been ttc for 2.5 years. 4 failed IUIs, one failed IVF cycle and now on the second IVF cycle. I did a frozen embryo transfer and so far it looks like it stuck! I tested at home a couple days before my first beta so I knew what I was walking into. Both beta tests have looked good, so now we’re just patiently waiting for my 6 week ultrasound to hopefully give us more good news.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I are both 31, we met in college and have been together 11 years, married for 4. I changed careers recently and became a high school science teacher. Hubs is in IT. We have two dogs and a cat. We love all things Marvel, and also love board games and puzzles. My second job is an aerial fitness instructor (pole and Lyra).
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Symptoms-wise, I’ve had mild cramping every day that comes and goes. Minor nipple soreness as well. Emotionally I am all over the place! I’ve gone through a lot of trauma during the infertility/IVF process so I am trying to stay guarded and not celebrate too early. This is my first pregnancy and have no justified reason to worry, but the incidence of CP and ectopic pregnancies are highly in the IVF community so I’m on high alert. I desperately want to feel the joy of being pregnant, planning everything and celebrating with family and friends, but am absolutely terrified something is going to go wrong. I am trying to take it day by day and celebrate the small wins where I get them.
Hi @becks105 I remember you from the August '22 board. It's nice (in a really twisted way) to see a familiar name.
Introduce yourself: I'm Janine (34) in the Lehigh Valley
Due date? April 1st
How did you find out? Took a test before I went to a pool party. Been taking tests every day since.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have my own dogwalking business. DH and I have been TTC for 13 months. I have a 10yo from my previous marriage. I had 2 MMCs, one in August 2021 and then another December 2021.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Physically, I'm tired. Mentally and emotionally, I'm terrified. It's taking me longer to heal with every D&C and I am scared to have to go through that again.
Finding out: TTC for 2 years, did IUI this cycle and been taking a test daily 12 dpo. This is my first pregnancy.
Little about myself: H & I have been together for 9 years, married 7. I have 3 step-children. I am a stay at home wife, husband works in agriculture. We have 3 dogs, 1 cat, goats & miniature donkeys. Love my Peloton bike, send me your ride names!
Symptoms: mild cramping on & off daily. This morning was my first time feeling nauseous.
Introduce yourself: Hi, I’m Hazel (31) from the U.K
Due date? 1st April 2023
How did you find out? I knew a week before my missed period despite all the BFN’s. My instincts were proven correct with 4 BFP’s yesterday. Did a digital this morning just to make extra sure and sure enough, another BFP.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have two children (boy - 11, girl - 8). I’m a stay at home mother and my partner and best friend is in the army. I enjoy baking, reading, and have a passion for history.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Cramping, backache, exhausted but can’t sleep, bloated, and constipated af which is driving me up the wall, honestly. :’)
@knottie3d08eec0e30be363 Please check out the tread stickied to the top of the main board about how to change your username to something more unique! Btw, where in Central CA are you? I'm here too!
@becks105 I'm so sorry to hear that! You are not alone. I have a lingering fear I will be leaving soon as well, despite my first betas/progesterone tests going well and a darkening line on my daily tests.
Will your doctor order betas for you? I pushed for repeat betas and an early u/s to know what's going on either way.
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Natalie and I’m located in the Minneapolis area.
Due date? I’m due April 1st.
How did you find out? Put it on my todo list to take an at home pregnancy test 6 days before my projected period start date and was shocked!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): No other children, just a puppy named Benny! I’m a social media manager for my moms coffee shop. My husband works at the University of Minnesota.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’m SO EMOTIONAL. I’ve been crying so much lately. My boobs are also really sore. I’m hungry but don’t have an appetite.
Introduce yourself: Hi I’m Brandi! I’m located in NC.
Due date? April 4th
How did you find out? I was late for my period and feeling off so I took a pregnancy test and was surprised!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have a daughter who is almost 2 years old. We also have a Husky named Navi. I love being active (obsessed with peloton currently).
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? A little nauseous. Some brain fog, fatigue and headaches also. I’m SUPER nervous about the nausea as I had it soooo bad from about 6-16 weeks last time. I could barely eat and lost weight. I’m dreading that part.
Introduce yourself: Hi all! I’m white_nectarine (34) from San Jose, Ca.
Due date? ~April 6th
How did you find out? I’ve been tracking my ovulation and was certain we hadn’t timed it correctly this cycle (this was my first time tracking ovulation and I have very irregular periods). On a whim, I thought I should take a test in case my period wasn’t arriving for a valid reason and was surprised it was positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do?Spouse/partner?): I currently have no kids or pets, I work as a project manager for an edu tech company. I enjoy weightlifting, baking, gardening, sewing amongst many other random hobbies where I can work with my hands. My husband and I recently eloped in June (after a 5 year engagement), so we are excited for this next step to grow our family!
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? The past 2 weeks I’ve been getting sleepy around 2pm. Part of me still doesn’t believe that I’m pregnant and the other part is ready to nest and read reviews for all the baby things to be acquired. I think once I start going to dr appts, this will feel more real.
@knottiee9789b0cd623ea9f welcome! Please see the post pinned on the main page on how to change your username from knottie.... to something more personalized/easier-to-digest.
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m iiirene. 31, from Colorado.
Due date? April 10
How did you find out? Took a pregnancy test and it was positive. We had been trying for 4 months. When I told my husband he was like “How?” ….ummm…we had sex while I was ovulating. Remember? 😆 despite that reaction he is very excited and already thinking of baby names.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I have been married for 5 years this September. We have one son who is 2.5, born February 2020. We have two cats that we have had since we were dating. I’m a preschool teacher but just starting a new job next week so not sure how telling them I’m pregnant will be received. We enjoy spending time outside, swimming, hiking in Colorado is always great, spending time with family. My brother and his wife just had a baby so I’m super excited to tell them we are expecting again. My husband and I also enjoy going to concerts.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’m feeling so excited and nervous. I have general anxiety so that baseline anxiety is just a tad higher right now. No physical symptoms yet. I didn’t really have many symptoms in my first trimester with my son so that’s not worrisome to me.
Hi I'm Amanda, (27), and I'm an SLP in a school in the Chicagoland area!
Due date: April 4th
My husband and I just started trying and did not think it would happen this quickly, but here we are! I took a test at 7 dpo and it was negative. I had a 4 day weekend trip planned with some friends, so I left for that not knowing if I was pregnant but wondering if I was. Came back Sunday, took another test, and it was positive! Then Monday night, I tested positive for COVID, unfortunately.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I live in Chicago, and have been married for a year and a half. We have two dogs and two cats. We had three but our oldest kitty girl passed in May. We call them "our zoo." I'm an SLP and in graduate school to get an additional teaching license. My husband works with block chain technology. We love traveling, watching TV, hanging with friends, and spending time with our zoo
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? It's hard to know which symptoms are pregnancy and which are COVID, but I've been feeling very tired, had quite a bit of pain in my lower back/hips, and had a headache. I think that's about it! I'm feeling nervous but also excited! Our first US is at 6 week, August 11th. I think she's doing it early because of covid but I'm not positive. It's nice to meet you all!
@iiirene Thanks! I'm surprised that there hasn't been that much activity here yet, so I figured I might as well get the board organized the way I want it. Teehee.
How did you find out? I took a test this morning after noticing implantation bleeding a few days ago.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m married with 1 child and I work in healthcare. I love reading books and wish I had more time to be crafty. I enjoy photography but never have time for it anymore thanks to career responsibilities and being a busy parent.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Zero symptoms currently. Emotionally, still a bit surreal and I’m not really sure I’ll believe it until I see baby on an ultrasound. It already feels differently than my first pregnancy, so we’ll see how things progress.
Introduce yourself: hi everyone- I’m Alyssa and from Austin TX where I live with my hubby and two doods.
Due date? Currently estimating April 7
How did you find out? Beta tests post FET (but also peed on a stick early…)
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I work as a marketing director for a fortune 100 tech company. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, good wine (oh I miss it already!), riding my Peloton and finding ways to give back to my community.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Peace of mind this time around, post loss in early May. It was our first natural pregnancy after two years of TTC, as we were gearing up for a FET. We are cautiously optimistic this time around as we transferred a genetically tested embryo, so I am letting myself be hopeful!
Hello, I'm Magen. I'm 28 and from the Chicago-land area as well!
Due date? Around April13th, have not yet been to the doctor to confirm anything
How did you find out? I actually am not even due for AF until tomorrow but we had a wedding on Saturday and I didn't want to miss the open bar if I didn't have to lol. I took a test that morning (11 dpo) and it was a faint positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I'll be 28 this fall, my husband will be 30. We have an almost 2 year old daughter (her birthday is in a couple of weeks!) And a 7 year old doggy. We love to cook together and go for walks. I own a medical billing company so I'm fortunate that I get to work from home to be with my kiddo.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Nervous mostly, I didn't think I'd get pregnant this month, I just stopped birth control in July. I'm still testing every other day because it seems like its still kind of faint but I am using the Walmart cheapie test so maybe they just aren't that sensitive? I'll maybe feel better once Friday rolls around and I've definitely missed AF. I also really don't have many symptoms, just peeing a lot and I'm tired. With my first pregnancy I had really bad morning sickness that started like a week before I even missed my period, so it kind of makes me uneasy that I'm not having any nausea really. I just keep telling myself every pregnancy is different and praying it's a sticky baby
Hi everyone! My name is Laura and I live close to Toronto, Ontario 🇨🇦
Due date: April 4
How did you find out? I just started tracking ovulation symptoms and decided to take a test early, and was pleasantly surprised!!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I don't have any children, but my husband and I have been married for 6 years and have 2 German Shepherds. I work at a mental health hospital as a psychotherapist and am currently able to work from home which I am greatly enjoying!! I also enjoy gardening, spending time with my family, and playing fetch with my dogs.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I have very excited but also slightly anxious due to how early I still am. I have had sore breasts since implantation, fatigue and just today am noticing some queasy feelings.
How did you find out? Monday of week 3 I didn’t feel like myself, Tuesday almost threw up while working out and Wednesday again almost threw up while putting together furniture. Took a test and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): From the Northeast (CT), married for almost five years, 1 cat and this will be our first child.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Have had on and off bouts of insomnia, Already sick! Can’t keep any meals down - have only been able to keep soft foods down, fruit, sweet potatoes, smoothies, sliced tomatoes. I’m feeling very nervous my body won’t hold onto this child - first ultrasound is Aug 18th can’t wait to hopefully hear a heartbeat.
Introduce yourself: Hi, my name is Margaret W and I just got my BFP yesterday!
Due date? April 15
How did you find out? I have been tracking my ovulation in An app because I have PCOS and a very irregular cycle. This cycle felt different which made me want to test earlier than I normally would. I am so thrilled to have gotten a BFP! We decided to have another baby because my youngest is 6 and I always wanted a big family. It seemed like the best time as my husband got a promotion, I started a new stay at home job with great benefits and the boys are all doing well.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I am married, I have 3 beautiful boys (2 of them I gave birth to and my oldest is my bonus son). We have two dogs, a lab and a pit, and we love to go camping!
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I have some cramping going on still and I have found that even though I love pork chops, last night I couldn’t even smell them without feeling sick. I am very excited!
Intro: My name is Darrianna, I'm 35 years old, a Taurus ♉️ and I'm from New York.
Due date:April 4 2023
Things about myself: I am in law enforcement. I have a loving fiancee, very supportive family, and two rescue cats. I'm currently talking prerequisite class to apply for a physian assistant program.
How am I feeling: I am so scared. I was pregnant earlier this year with TRIPLETS! At 22 weeks I lost my babies. I was very happy to find out I'm pregnant again but I'm also so scared to say anything. All the things I was excited for during my first pregnancy (gender reveal, baby shower, ect... ) I'm so afraid. I know I am still in the grieving but happy to be going through this journey.
Introduce yourself: Hi! My name is Peyton from Tennessee - I am 27 years old and this is my first pregnancy.
Due date? April 6th
How did you find out? Positive test after feeling a few symptoms
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I have one dog that we are obsessed with. We love anything outdoors, concerts, spending time with family.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Breast soreness and bloating have been the main symptoms so far. I had my first appointment today and passed out cold from the blood draw 🙃. That left me feeling a little anxious of what’s to come…
Introduce yourself: hi my name is Kelly and I'm from the UK, I am 37 and this will hopefully be my third baby.
How did I find out: I knew before my bfp, I tested for days and it was negative but I still knew, then 2 days before missed period it came up positive
Due April 8th
Tell us about yourself: i live with my husband and 2 boys 10 and 5 I work nights in an office. We are currently renovating our house and garden. I love being outdoors and reading
How are you feeling: nervous and scared. This baby was very much planned and wanted but I'm already worried about people telling me I'm too old. Had a bit of sickness but nothing too bad Also I know after two natural Labour's this one will be a c section so very scared Bout that. Thank you for having me xxx
@primcessb13 as someone who'll hopefully be having her first child at 39, I have nothing but a middle finger to share with anyone who says that you'll be old when you have your 3rd. So I suggest wearing your age loud and proud. My husband also told me that his dad was a late surprise for his grandmother at the age of 44. You are nowhere near old.
Introduce yourself: Hello everyone my name is Samantha and I’m from North Carolina
Due date April 7 (if I did the math correctly but definitely will be an Aries)
How did you find out: I woke up the other night feeling absolutely nauseous. Because my period isn’t regular I checked my calendar to see when I was supposed to start and I was 5 days late. Took a test (that normally comes out negative) and Bam….pregnant.
Tell us about yourself : I am 31 and have been married for 7 years to my amazing husband. We have 2 dogs Kimber (4 years) and Kaia (2 years). We are both adventurous people who love to travel and be outdoors. I am also an avid reader. Full time I am a rehabilitation nurse in a LTC facility.
How are you feeling: nauseous and nervous. I have had 2 miscarriages previously. I forgot that I had used this app previously and it had the age of what my first baby would have been had they made it to term (my second I didn’t even have the chance to start getting excited over. I miscarried the same day I found out). Overall I’m trying not to get too excited. I’ve already called my doctor and made appointments but I’m still very nervous. I don’t want to get too excited but I’m hoping that this rainbow 🌈 is here to stay.

Argh.

Due date?
Due date is April 5
Due date: April 7th
Finding out: TTC for 2 years, did IUI this cycle and been taking a test daily 12 dpo. This is my first pregnancy.
Little about myself: H & I have been together for 9 years, married 7. I have 3 step-children. I am a stay at home wife, husband works in agriculture. We have 3 dogs, 1 cat, goats & miniature donkeys. Love my Peloton bike, send me your ride names!
Symptoms: mild cramping on & off daily. This morning was my first time feeling nauseous.

Due date?
Due date?

Spouse/partner?):
I'll be 28 this fall, my husband will be 30.

Due date?
Due date?
That left me feeling a little anxious of what’s to come…
How did I find out: I knew before my bfp, I tested for days and it was negative but I still knew, then 2 days before missed period it came up positive
Due April 8th
Tell us about yourself: i live with my husband and 2 boys 10 and 5
I work nights in an office. We are currently renovating our house and garden. I love being outdoors and reading
How are you feeling: nervous and scared. This baby was very much planned and wanted but I'm already worried about people telling me I'm too old.
Had a bit of sickness but nothing too bad
Also I know after two natural Labour's this one will be a c section so very scared Bout that.
Thank you for having me xxx
