Re: **TW** Bleeding/Spotting/Threatened Loss Support Thread
Yes, they did. They said it should subside on its own, and it seems to be doing that. Fingers crossed we’re in the clear now!
until 13 weeks at which time the abruption occurred and he passed away. I am pregnant again with another boy- both boys were conceived via IVF .
of hours. My doctor got me in for an ultrasound right away and we saw the baby. He is measuring on time with a heartbeat of 166. They spent a lot of time looking for a hematoma around the baby and they found nothing- they found a flow of blood at the entrance of my cervix- which they said is most likely a hematoma bleeding out. My cervix is closed. They put me on bed rest- told me to expect to bleed over the coming days.
For context I actually bled a lot with my girls. My second was a threatened miscarriage and I bled a lot daily for the first 15 weeks. I had to come in for ultrasounds once or twice a week depending on the amount of blood. I didn't bleed at all with my son. So i was hoping I wouldn't this time. I was younger then and not of advanced maternal age like I am now.
Yep. Pelvic rest and no strenuous exercise. My next appointment isn't until April 6th but I'm going to call and try to get in sooner. I was supposed to go in the week before that but the lady who scheduled my appointment kind of messed up. Wrong doctor, wrong time, etc. The system wasn't working so she had to do it after I left. It seems a bit ridiculous to make a woman with blood clots coming out multiple times a day to wait 3 weeks to see a doctor. This was before the SCH though.
Hopefully it's all fine. I'm just very worried and highly anxious.
