Re: Introductions
Due date? 11/2
How did you find out? We were trying. And... voilà. This will be baby #4.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Recently had a MC in December. That was a surprise pregnancy, and we realized we felt incomplete. We are a very busy family of 5. My oldest girls are from a previous marriage (13 and 10). Our son is 3. I co-founded a SAAS company three years ago. I'm pretty non-stop busy between that, my husband and the kids. Love yoga, cooking/baking with my girls and anything where I’m learning something new.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m a little nervous but surprisingly hopeful. My stress can be very high and we worry of the implications. I’m also 38.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Hmmm, make myself in to multiples so I can have more time to spend just being present? Isn’t that what most mamas would say?
I’m Amelie from Seattle. This is my first and I’m so excited (due date is Nov. 2, 2022). My hobbies are cycling, sailing and skiing but I also enjoy being a homebody and reading a good book.
My husband and I both worked from home during the pandemic but I’ve started going back into my (mostly empty) office and I’m a little sad I’ll probably have to be remote again over the next few weeks.
I’ve already started feeling nausea and noticed some hormonal/physical changes and also find I’m getting frustrated/short-tempered over small things, but otherwise feeling good!
Looking forward to hearing more about everyone’s journey!
I got (5) positive tests a few days ago and confirmed it this morning with my Dr, (as i just so happened to have my annual check up). I am still in shock I found out so soon but my next app is in 3 weeks!
Hi Everyone! I am L from Albuquerque, NM.
Due date?
November 5th? We will see what happens after the first scan.
How did you find out?
Lots and lots of testing. I tried to not test, but I was not able to resist.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
We have 2 LOs - 5 and 2.
I am a teacher and my husband is a SAHD.
I really like hiking and baking. We are fortunate to have great weather here most of the year and so we are in the mountains as much as we can.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
I have been having all of the symptoms - nausea, cramps, etc. I wonder if this is something that gets more intense with every pregnancy.
Generally, we are very happy about this pregnancy and excited to grow our family.
Due date: Nov 4. Although I’ll have to deliver early, so I doubt we make it to November. My babies have a tendency to come so fast we have to plan for it.
How did you find out? I’ve been telling my husband I wanted another for a while. He agreed in January. Here we are. Cautiously optimistic!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 2 other kids. L who is newly 4 and R who is 2.5. 2 dogs. Husband is in medicine and I’m an attorney. We’re busy, but it’s fun.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) nausea is intense already. Bloating, too. Otherwise, okay enough to chase around my toddlers. My pants are all a little snug already. I wonder if this being my third baby is going to make it tough to hide for very long, even if it is all bloat!
Due date: November 3rd
How did you find out: We started trying in December and found out this past week, so still processing all the amazing news! My husband and I are super excited.
Tell us about yourself: I am in sales and we have two australian cattle dogs full of energy and love! My husband and I love to go fly fishing and I love to read, practice yoga and lately relax!
How are you feeling: Feeling nervous but so excited to be pregnant. Sometimes it doesn’t feel real yet because my first appointment isn’t until April. I feel sooo bloated and can’t wear my regular jeans right now, haha. Each day is different and I go from having a lot of energy to do a couple mile walk to being exhausted and needing a nap.
Looking forward to having this message board
I can so relate to what you said. I think the cramping has been more noticeable this time...but everywhere I read it says that it just gets more intense with each pregnancy.
Hope you are having a good weekend!
Our predicted due date is November 9th! My husbands dads birthday is the 8th and everyone in his family seems to have birthday twins, so it’d be super excited if our baby ended up being his!
We actually found out we were expecting exactly 1 week after we got married last Saturday while on our honeymoon in the Bahamas! We knew I’d be ovulating the week before the wedding and figured why wait to start trying. I packed a couple pregnancy tests just in case, thinking I’d be due to start my period this weekend. After some CRAZY cravings, feeling like a bottomless pit, and being turned off my foods i normally love, we took a test… and then 3 more and all came up positive! I’ve never had a positive test before so i was flooded with emotions and excitement!
My husband and i are very involved in the marine industry during the summer months as we live on the coast of Lake Erie, we not only work on boats, but spend most of our spare time on the water as well. We have a black lab and a cat who are both sure to be extremely jealous when we get home to tell them!
Though i haven’t made my first doctors appointment yet, I’m super excited to get back and get checked out! My sister is 25 weeks pregnant with her first as well so I’m so glad i get to go through this journey right behind her so she can warn me of what’s to come and help to prepare me based on her experiences! So far my biggest symptom has been hungry! I’ve been eating everything in sight as we are on an all inclusive resort for our honeymoon. Starting to have a few food aversions, but hoping the morning sickness stays away at least until after we return to the US!
Due date? Right now, November 4. However, I know my ovulation date was wonky in February, so I think that will change after my first appointment.
How did you find out? We've been trying for 8 months. February was the first month I decided not to track--I had called my OB/GYN on the 18th and scheduled an infertility appointment because I was sure I was going to start my period just like usual. The next day, I did my usual "take a pregnancy test, get disappointed" routine and threw it away. About 20 minutes later, I was taking out the bathroom trash and saw that it was actually positive. I took multiple tests since then. I still kind of can't believe it lol.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 6-year-old. I work in social media marketing and branding. My husband is a teacher. We all like watching movies, thrifting, spending time together. I like scrapbooking and journaling.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I have been really achy this time around a lot sooner than I remember (granted--it's been 7 years since I was pregnant with my son!), but I feel more relaxed in general.
Due date? November 7
How did you find out? Tested 10DPO and got a faint line. Blood draw that same day was 14, but 48 hours later was at 68!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a little guy who will turn 2 next month. We have a kitty named Sham Wow. She just started getting used to my toddler. I wonder how she’ll do with another crawling around. SO works from home and I’m in procurement.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) very bloated and more cramps than with my toddler. Emotionally I can’t believe it. We’ve been trying for #2 for over a year so I’m in a weird phase where I can’t do anything TTC related, but I’m still cautious about doing anything pregnancy related.
Due date? Currently it's November 5th, but we'll see if that changes once i actually go to the doctor!
How did you find out? I'm actually on vacation with my in laws 😂 Period was about a week late and I was having some cramping that felt different than menstrual cramps and I took a test. I was 100% expecting a negative test, so I'm a little in shock tbh
Tell us about yourself: This is our first! My husband and I agreed that we wanted to start trying in a few months, so this was a surprise but we're excited. We've got a little cat that we adopted last year from stray. I work part time as an office administrator and my husband runs his own business with his brother.
How are you feeling? So so nervous. I'm still getting some cramps occasionally and definitely feeling fatigued. Still haven't made the first appointment but will call them when we get back home! This is our first and I'm just so stressed about doing everything right! (I've googled literally everything I'm about to eat so far to make sure it's okay!)
In the process, the clinic asks you to do a beta HCG blood level 10 days after transfer. I was going to wait, but woke up on day 9 with the strong feeling that I should take a urine pregnancy test. It was positive. I sent a picture of the test to my wife, who was working. She told me later that she had to look up a video on how pregnancy tests worked to see if she should cheer or console. Of course a lot of celebration emojis followed. The blood work the next day confirmed. I am awaiting further testing with my fertility specialist before getting my first appointment with an OB.
This is my first time pregnancy, though I do have an adopted daughter from a previous marriage. I work in a medical office and my wife is a counselor. We have two dogs and and a very spoiled parrot.
I'm feeling very happy and content. I have some morning nausea that has been getting a little more intense since the bHCG levels are rising. I've also had some breast tenderness, but that's common to the high dose progesterone shots that I'm taking daily with IVF. This is a magical process and I'm happy to be experiencing these changes even when they're not comfortable.
We are due on my birthday! 11/4! I think that is so fun
I’m feeling like I’ve never done this before! It’s been 9 years since I got pregnant, and the first time I was 120lbs heavier so I have no idea what to expect from this pregnancy… but I feel crazy blessed bc it took us YEARS to conceive with our first, and only a couple months this time around!
Due date? Either October 31 or November 5th (my birthday is Nov 6th 🥳)
How did you find out? I had a blasting headache so I took a clear blue digital test and sure enough it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I have 2 dogs and a cat. My boyfriend is a pilot and also has a dog. I enjoy hiking, taking my dogs for a walk and my job.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I stopped taking my anxiety medication so it has been a struggle and an adjustment. I worry a lot about miscarriage. My first appointment is Tuesday 3/8. Not too many symptoms except a missed period and lots of bloating
Due date 11/5
How did you find out?
I got pregnant through IVF - 5 day embryo transfer on 2/17. I took a few home tests the past few days with positives and line progression but I had my HCG blood draw today which was the big confirmation I was waiting for (it came back 750 at 4wks 2days. Yay!)
Tell us about yourself
I have two dogs, two cats, and a wonderful husband. I am a preschool speech therapist and we have been hoping to start a family for almost two years now. After a year of frustration, we sought an infertility evaluation and thanks to modern medicine and IVF we were able to get this far! We had our first frozen embryo transfer in December which resulted in a very early loss. Hoping this will be our rainbow!
How are you feeling?
So tired and my emotions are completely out of whack although I know that’s probably the fertility drugs talking. Yesterday I was lightheaded/nauseous for the first time. Honestly I appreciate the symptoms for what they are because it helps me feel more secure that everything is going as it should. Pregnancy after infertility and loss is unfortunately full of constant fear and anxiety of what might go wrong.
I have a second beta hcg blood draw Wednesday to confirm it’s rising like it should. My 6 week scan is March 14 then mid April around 10-12 weeks I will graduate from the fertility clinic back to my regular OB and stop my estrogen pills and progesterone injections. Let the countdown begin for when i don’t have to set my alarm 10min earlier to shoot myself up with a 1.5 inch needle every day!!
Due date? November 7
How did you find out? Home test after one day past missed period- convinced period was coming but tested mid morning after getting really dizzy
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) husband & a cat, run my own design business, recreational athlete rock climbing, backcountry skiing and mountaineering
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I felt grossed out by a lot of food and bloated eating with change to appetite week leading up to missed period. And dizziness today.
Due date? November 7 (maybe)
How did you find out?
I had been wanting to try for a third for a while and finally my husband agreed to give it one last try and see what happens. Three months later I started feeling off and then missed my period. I took a test yesterday but I already knew I was positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
We have a 7 year old (boy) and a 5 year old (girl) and I think the big age gap is going to be fun for them. They’ll be helpful with the baby. I work as an event producer for business events. My husband and I like to have adventures with the kids so hope that keeps going with #3. I told him I want to take the whole family to Paris before my maternity leave is over.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Haven’t had my appointment yet. Physically I am tired and nauseous but I’m getting by. Don’t have much of an appetite which isn’t like me. Emotionally a bit of a roller coaster. This is a big change. It’s been a while since I had a baby!
Due date? November 3rd
How did you find out? Bloodwork two weeks after our embryo transfer.
How are you feeling? NERVOUS is an understatement. I’m worried to even be acknowledging this yet. Still seeing our RE but will call and schedule with our OB next week. Only symptoms is fatigue and boy is it killer!
This will be my 6th pregnancy, but I've only had 2 successful, with my son (3.5) and daughter (1.5). We've always known we wanted 3 so we've been trying since we got the all clear after our daughter was born, but my body didn't want to cooperate. We actually went to see the doctor a few weeks ago for infertility testing and apparently my body was like "I'll show you!" LOL
With my son I had cholestasis, and with my daughter I had borderline HG so it'll be interesting to see what this pregnancy brings. Between those and my losses I'm high risk so I'll be on progesterone for the first 12 weeks and aspirin/heparin until 36 weeks. I've just called my high risk doctor today and will be waiting to see what he says before I make an appointment with the maternity clinic.
My husband and I have been together for 16 years and he's an awesome dad. If this pregnancy is successful there will be 26 months between it and our daughter, which is the same as the time between our daughter and our son. We might be a little nuts!
W born September 2020
#3 due November 2022
Due date?: 11/10
How did you find out?: My husband and I have been trying for about 3 months now so when I didn’t get my period when I was supposed to I took a pregnancy test. The first one was barely visible, we figured it was because I drank a lot of water right before. Tried again later that night and this morning and both positive!
Tell us about yourself: My husband is in grad school getting his master’s in computer science. He graduates this summer.
How are you feeling?: My first appt isn’t until April 6th and I feel so impatient. I want to tell everyone I know but I’m going to wait until after that appt. The only real symptoms I have are cramping and sore boobs. I really thought it was just my period about to start.
Hello, my name is Ashley. I'm 30 years old and live in Wisconsin.
Due date?
11/5/22
How did you find out?
We have been TTC since November '21. My cycle varies so I waited until I was 2 days late and then took a test. I had been under a ton of stress this month and didn't sense I was pregnant so it took 3 positive tests before I believed it.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I just got married in October, but we've been together almost a decade. We have one son, who is almost 9 (going to have a big age gap) and has been begging for a sibling since he was a toddler. He doesn't know yet, but I'm excited to tell him because he'll be overjoyed. I also just got hired into a new role at work, so I start my new job in 2 weeks that I've been working towards for 3 years! I love reading, puzzles and board games with my son, journaling, and trivia.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first appointment will be April 7th. I'm pretty tired (cutting back on coffee doesn't help either) and just a little bit of nausea. No major symptoms yet. Emotionally, I am over the moon. I'm excited and anxious, but overall just really happy. It's been a long time since my last pregnancy and the first was unplanned and stressful. I'm looking forward to this journey!
Due date? 11/2
How did you find out? We have been trying for 9 years, two harvests resulted in one embryo for transfer, implanted 2/12 and then scheduled blood test was positive
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 2 fur felines who rule our lives, I read, enjoy running my pure romamce business and working in the medical field, spouse works out of town but I get to spend time with him on weekends
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)no symptoms, a little tired, trying to make it through the first trimester before I get too excited but not holding back this time. Schedule ultrasound at the fertility clinic is on the 11th. We had a prior miscarriage that was difficult because no one knew we were pregnant so this time I’m going to make sure ppl know.
My estimated due date is Nov 5.
We had been trying since October of last year. This is my second pregnancy, and I could tell by how my boobs felt, that something was different. I took an early pregnancy test 5 days before my expected period. It was a faint line, and I continued to test every other day, for 3 tests to see that the line was getting darker.
I'm 36, a part-time elementary school secretary, a lash artist and an arbonne consultant. I have a 4 year old daughter who has medical needs. Becoming a medical mama was a total surprise to me, upon giving birth to her, so this time around I'm somewhat nervous.
My husband and I have been together 10 years, we just got married last year! We also have 2 dogs, and are so happy to be growing our family!
Currently I'm experiencing light cramping, and total exhaustion. I've lost my appetite and have some nausea. I'm pretty bloated, and just feel heavier. Emotionally, I am easily tiggered by anything! I'll cry, get angry, lose my patience.... but then I'm really happy. I can't wait for my emotions to level out and feel more like myself again. My first appointment is March 28th.
I’m 37 and this is my first baby! My husband and I have been trying for the last 6 months. I had one chemical in November and now this baby is due in November ✨ We have 2 cats who are spoiled rotten, Link and Zelda, and who are our precious little ones. I’m currently studying to be a therapist and would love to focus on perinatal mental health once I’m licensed.
Due date? My EDD is November 5th, but my ovulation tracker was off in February so I’m looking forward to finding out more accurately at my first appointment.
How did you find out? I was really congested and my breasts were tender so I decided to take a test and was so excited to see it was positive!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first appointment isn’t until the end of them month which seems like foreverrrrr! I’m feeling mostly tired, congested, very light cramping, and breast tenderness so far. I’m emotionally so excited and trying to be positive and not let my anxiety from my CP make me worried.
So nice to “meet” you all and look forward to this journey together! 🤰🏻
I started my own business last year growing and selling fresh cut flowers, and this year I’m working under a local floral designer on top of running my own business again. My fiance runs his own tech support company.
My estimated due date is 11/2
I had a positive test on 2/24, 1 day after I missed my period. I think I already knew I was because I had broken out really badly, and I said “last time I broke out this badly, I was pregnant.” Guess I was right!! Now, I have been experiencing tender breasts, cramping and just had some spotting today. I’m experiencing food aversion and a little nausea but nothing too bad. I’ve been crying more than I’ve ever cried in my life!!
Honestly, I’m scared. I’m scared my fiancé and I aren’t ready, I’m scared my business will fail, I’m scared our dreams of owning a house will stay that; a dream. We’ve been flip flopping, but I woke up this morning knowing I want this baby. My fiancé isn’t on the same boat yet, though. It makes me feel guilty. I don’t even know if talking about this is allowed on this thread, but it’s real and I could really use some support. How do you know if you’re ready?
I’m 32 and this is my first child, but my second pregnancy. I had an ectopic pregnancy the first time around and am having a lot of anxiety this time around. The good news is that my numbers are looking good so far! We’re ready for this rainbow baby!
Other fun facts - we have 2 cats and we love hiking, camping, paddle boarding & general exploring!
Due date? November 6
How did you find out? Funny story -- tried something at work and had a strong allergic reaction (ref Will Smith in Hitch). Was told you can have more allergic reactions when your hormones are high so it made me wonder. Took a test and yup, I was pregnant.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I work in marketing, spend most of my time outside work with my husband and daughter who has just started walking and it's keeping me on my toes.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) It's really early so just hope everything is healthy and safe.
I’m Avery, 33, married and in Texas.
We currently have a 5 year old son. We were told we would have to try medication after trying to get pregnant after 3 chemical pregnancies. But God had other plans for us and my first normal cycle with ovulation( no medication intervention) We are pregnant!!!!
Due date?

How did you find out? We have been trying for a few months and I finally had some symptoms (sore breasts) and tested positive at 11dpo. I was home alone dog sitting for my brother so I cried happy tears to the dog until my husband came home.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am a nervous and anxious wreck. I feel super tired during the day and am very bloated at night after supper. My husband has been so sweet and supportive which helps a lot. We plan on telling our parents and siblings next week!
I’m Brittany from Illinois. This is my first pregnancy and honestly, I’m extremely nervous even though we were trying. I hate to say it but I’m probably more nervous than excited.
Due date: November 5. My husband and I were trying for two months so I started taking preg tests around 8 DPO.
I live with my husband and cat. My main hobby is my home decor Instagram account. I love decorating.
I’m feeling very nervous as I mentioned before lol. My main symptoms so far have been cramping and sore breast along with being very sensitive and wanting to cry a lot.

I work in Marketing and my husband works in IT - we have a senior pup named Louie, he's a 12 year old Maltese...grumpy little guy but he's my sidekick. We love to travel, outdoor adventures and cookin' up some serious BBQ.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Made my first appointment for March 31 - I feel like it's SO FAR away but I'm so excited. Very nervous to tell people ahead of that appointment but I have some cute ideas for a tshirt to tell our parents on St Patrick's Day LOL. Symptom wise, my cramps have gone away for the most part, starting to feel slightly nauseous but nothing too crazy yet. Also feeling hungry!!
Excited to "meet" you all - can't wait to read about our adventures in the coming months!
