Re: Introductions

  • Iโ€™m Elisabeth from Cape Cod, MA.

    Due date? 11/2

How did you find out? We were trying. And... voilร .ย ย This will be baby #4.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Recently had a MC in December. That was a surprise pregnancy, and we realized we felt incomplete. We are a very busy family of 5. My oldest girls are from a previous marriage (13 and 10). Our son is 3. I co-founded a SAAS company three years ago. I'm pretty non-stop busy between that, my husband and the kids. Love yoga, cooking/baking with my girls and anything where Iโ€™m learning something new.

How are you feeling? (First appointment?ย Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Iโ€™m a little nervous but surprisingly hopeful. My stress can be very high and we worry of the implications. Iโ€™m also 38.ย

GTKY Fun fact: Tell us what your super power would be? Hmmm, make myself in to multiples so I can have more time to spend just being present? Isnโ€™t that what most mamas would say?ย

Hi! My name is Allison, I'm 33 and a 4th grade teacher. My husband is a lobbyist and we have a 3 year old and 5 year old. We also have a golden collie named Jax! We love to go camping in the summertime, visit breweries and go on walks.ย

I had a chemical pregnancy last month, so I'm a little nervous this go around. Based on my lmp, due date is November 1 however with my chronic high blood pressure, I'll be induced 2 weeks earlier. I actually started in the October Birth Month Club, but decided to switch over to November because it'll be most consistent with how far along I actually am.ย

Last cycle, I tested extremely early on and caused myself some intense anxiety. So this time, I waited a little longer (very proud of myself!) and I got my bfp on a frer about a week ago. First appointment is March 24th.

Well, we dodged Covid for 2 years but it finally made it's way into our home. 2 days after I got my PREGNANCY bfp, I got a COVID bfp. I was the last one to get it out of the 4 of us and thankfully we all had it very mild, but woof. I'm so exhausted. While the fatigue is hard to distinguish what's causing it, the nausea is certainly pregnancy related and this congestion, well, the other. At any rate, I'm very happy to be here! I didn't participate in the Bump community for my last pregnancy, but I was super active with my first. Can't wait to get to know you all!

  • @elliespen my husband's family has been camping in Cape Cod since they were little kids. Now, it's our summer time family tradition too! We go all the way out to North Truro. It's one of my most favorite places to visit.
  • Too funny! We are right around there all summer. SUCH a beautiful place.
  • @elliespen my profile picture is the Highland Light!

    Hi everyone!

Iโ€™m Amelie from Seattle. This is my first and Iโ€™m so excited (due date is Nov. 2, 2022). My hobbies are cycling, sailing and skiing but I also enjoy being a homebody and reading a good book.

My husband and I both worked from home during the pandemic but Iโ€™ve started going back into my (mostly empty) office and Iโ€™m a little sad Iโ€™ll probably have to be remote again over the next few weeks.

Iโ€™ve already started feeling nausea and noticed some hormonal/physical changes and also find Iโ€™m getting frustrated/short-tempered over small things, but otherwise feeling good!

Looking forward to hearing more about everyoneโ€™s journey!
  • Hi my name is Angi and I am (also) from Cape Cod, MA. I am married and we have a sweet little golden retriever. We are expecting our first 11/3!ย

My husband and I have been trying for our first for about a year but unfortunately I have miscarried twice already, my last one was in December.ย

ย I got (5) positive tests a few days ago and confirmed it this morning with my Dr, (as i just so happened to have my annual check up). I am still in shock I found out so soon but my next app is in 3 weeks!ย

I am hopeful this time around as it definitely has been different; crazy dreams, mood swings and so nauseous. I have been super anxious and trying not to get too excited too quick but prayerfully hopeful to be a mama!ย
Looking forwards to meeting you all!ย

  • @knottiecf3bd5f0f9231e26 stop it! What a small world for us Cape Cod moms. Btw, it may help to change your user name.ย
  • Introduce yourself:

Hi Everyone!ย  I am L from Albuquerque, NM.

    Due date?
November 5th?ย  We will see what happens after the first scan.

    How did you find out?
Lots and lots of testing. I tried to not test, but I was not able to resist.ย

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
    We have 2 LOs - 5 and 2.ย
I am a teacher and my husband is a SAHD.ย

I really like hiking and baking. We are fortunate to have great weather here most of the year and so we are in the mountains as much as we can.ย

How are you feeling? (First appointment?ย Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
I have been having all of the symptoms - nausea, cramps, etc.ย  I wonder if this is something that gets more intense with every pregnancy.ย

Generally, we are very happy about this pregnancy and excited to grow our family.ย
  • @ponyoisfun this is my 3rd pregnancy too (well, technically 5th I suppose) and the symptoms this go around for me have been different from what I remember. Nausea isn't too bad yet (I was on diclegis the entire time for my 2 full term pregnancies) but I've been experiencing much more cramping. Our course, with those 2 together, my anxiety is at an all time high. Have your cramps been more noticeable this go around too? Looking for validation I guess.

Iโ€™m Brittani. From Oklahoma. This is our rainbow baby. We had a MMC last august. Itโ€™s taken 6 months to get pregnant again. So Iโ€™m very nervous. I have two boys 12 and 8 from a previous married. My spouse doesnโ€™t have children so this is our first together.

Hi! Ashlyn from Kansas. I was super active here with my first pregnancy and met some of my best internet friends, so Iโ€™m excited at the opportunity again!

Due date: Nov 4. Although Iโ€™ll have to deliver early, so I doubt we make it to November. My babies have a tendency to come so fast we have to plan for it.ย

How did you find out? Iโ€™ve been telling my husband I wanted another for a while. He agreed in January. Here we are. Cautiously optimistic! ย

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 2 other kids. L who is newly 4 and R who is 2.5. 2 dogs. Husband is in medicine and Iโ€™m an attorney. Weโ€™re busy, but itโ€™s fun.ย

How are you feeling? (First appointment?ย Any symptoms? Emotionally?) nausea is intense already. Bloating, too. Otherwise, okay enough to chase around my toddlers. My pants are all a little snug already. I wonder if this being my third baby is going to make it tough to hide for very long, even if it is all bloat!ย
  • Hi! Maddison from Colorado, and this is our first pregnancy!
    Due date: November 3rd

How did you find out: We started trying in December and found out this past week, so still processing all the amazing news! My husband and I are super excited.

Tell us about yourself: I am in sales and we have two australian cattle dogs full of energy and love! My husband and I love to go fly fishing and I love to read, practice yoga and lately relax!

How are you feeling: Feeling nervous but so excited to be pregnant. Sometimes it doesnโ€™t feel real yet because my first appointment isnโ€™t until April. I feel sooo bloated and canโ€™t wear my regular jeans right now, haha. Each day is different and I go from having a lot of energy to do a couple mile walk to being exhausted and needing a nap.

Looking forward to having this message board
  • @mali0902

I can so relate to what you said.ย  I think the cramping has been more noticeable this time...but everywhere I read it says that it just gets more intense with each pregnancy.ย ย

Hope you are having a good weekend!

  • Hi everyone! Iโ€™m Danielle and Iโ€™m here for the first time!

Our predicted due date is November 9th! My husbands dads birthday is the 8th and everyone in his family seems to have birthday twins, so itโ€™d be super excited if our baby ended up being his!

We actually found out we were expecting exactly 1 week after we got married last Saturday while on our honeymoon in the Bahamas! We knew Iโ€™d be ovulating the week before the wedding and figured why wait to start trying. I packed a couple pregnancy tests just in case, thinking Iโ€™d be due to start my period this weekend. After some CRAZY cravings, feeling like a bottomless pit, and being turned off my foods i normally love, we took a testโ€ฆ and then 3 more and all came up positive! Iโ€™ve never had a positive test before so i was flooded with emotions and excitement!

My husband and i are very involved in the marine industry during the summer months as we live on the coast of Lake Erie, we not only work on boats, but spend most of our spare time on the water as well. We have a black lab and a cat who are both sure to be extremely jealous when we get home to tell them!

Though i havenโ€™t made my first doctors appointment yet, Iโ€™m super excited to get back and get checked out! My sister is 25 weeks pregnant with her first as well so Iโ€™m so glad i get to go through this journey right behind her so she can warn me of whatโ€™s to come and help to prepare me based on her experiences! So far my biggest symptom has been hungry! Iโ€™ve been eating everything in sight as we are on an all inclusive resort for our honeymoon. Starting to have a few food aversions, but hoping the morning sickness stays away at least until after we return to the US!
  • Hi everyone! I'm Michelle, I'm from Oregon. I'm a second-time mom. I found a (somewhat) great bump group from here with my first child and so I'm hoping the magic repeats itself.ย

Due date? Right now, November 4. However, I know my ovulation date was wonky in February, so I think that will change after my first appointment.ย

How did you find out? We've been trying for 8 months. February was the first month I decided not to track--I had called my OB/GYN on the 18th and scheduled an infertility appointment because I was sure I was going to start my period just like usual. The next day, I did my usual "take a pregnancy test, get disappointed" routine and threw it away. About 20 minutes later, I was taking out the bathroom trash and saw that it was actually positive. I took multiple tests since then. I still kind of can't believe it lol.ย

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 6-year-old. I work in social media marketing and branding. My husband is a teacher. We all like watching movies, thrifting, spending time together. I like scrapbooking and journaling.ย

How are you feeling? (First appointment?ย Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I have been really achy this time around a lot sooner than I remember (granted--it's been 7 years since I was pregnant with my son!), but I feel more relaxed in general.ย
  • Hi Iโ€™m Amber!
    Due date? November 7

How did you find out? Tested 10DPO and got a faint line. Blood draw that same day was 14, but 48 hours later was at 68!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a little guy who will turn 2 next month. We have a kitty named Sham Wow. She just started getting used to my toddler. I wonder how sheโ€™ll do with another crawling around. SO works from home and Iโ€™m in procurement.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) very bloated and more cramps than with my toddler. Emotionally I canโ€™t believe it. Weโ€™ve been trying for #2 for over a year so Iโ€™m in a weird phase where I canโ€™t do anything TTC related, but Iโ€™m still cautious about doing anything pregnancy related.
  • Introduce yourself:

Due date? Currently it's November 5th, but we'll see if that changes once i actually go to the doctor!

How did you find out? I'm actually on vacation with my in laws ๐Ÿ˜‚ Period was about a week late and I was having some cramping that felt different than menstrual cramps and I took a test. I was 100% expecting a negative test, so I'm a little in shock tbh

Tell us about yourself: This is our first! My husband and I agreed that we wanted to start trying in a few months, so this was a surprise but we're excited. We've got a little cat that we adopted last year from stray. I work part time as an office administrator and my husband runs his own business with his brother.

How are you feeling? So so nervous. I'm still getting some cramps occasionally and definitely feeling fatigued. Still haven't made the first appointment but will call them when we get back home! This is our first and I'm just so stressed about doing everything right! (I've googled literally everything I'm about to eat so far to make sure it's okay!)
  • Hello all! I'm Monica and I live in Pensacola, FL. My due date is November 2nd. My wife and I got married last year and decided to go through the process of reciprocal IVF. We did had our first transfer attempt on Valentine's Day and our little Valentine looks like they've decided to stick around.

In the process, the clinic asks you to do a beta HCG blood level 10 days after transfer. I was going to wait, but woke up on day 9 with the strong feeling that I should take a urine pregnancy test. It was positive. I sent a picture of the test to my wife, who was working. She told me later that she had to look up a video on how pregnancy tests worked to see if she should cheer or console. Of course a lot of celebration emojis followed. The blood work the next day confirmed. I am awaiting further testing with my fertility specialist before getting my first appointment with an OB.

This is my first time pregnancy, though I do have an adopted daughter from a previous marriage. I work in a medical office and my wife is a counselor. We have two dogs and and a very spoiled parrot.

I'm feeling very happy and content. I have some morning nausea that has been getting a little more intense since the bHCG levels are rising. I've also had some breast tenderness, but that's common to the high dose progesterone shots that I'm taking daily with IVF. This is a magical process and I'm happy to be experiencing these changes even when they're not comfortable.
  • Good morning :) Iโ€™m Lauren from Dallas, TX. Hubby and I have an 8 year old boy, so this is basically starting all over haha! We also have 5 fur babies, 4 dogs and a kitty. Actually, one of my first indications was that our oldest guy now demands to sit in the same chair as me all the timeโ€ฆ and he hasnโ€™t done that in YEARS!ย

We are due on my birthday! 11/4! I think that is so fun :) so I typically cramp pretty bad on day 2 of my cycle, but Saturday I woke up in miserable pain, but never started! Finally tested this am and got the BFP. It was a no doubter ๐Ÿคฃ

Iโ€™m feeling like Iโ€™ve never done this before! Itโ€™s been 9 years since I got pregnant, and the first time I was 120lbs heavier so I have no idea what to expect from this pregnancyโ€ฆ but I feel crazy blessed bc it took us YEARS to conceive with our first, and only a couple months this time around!ย

Introduce yourself: my name is Devon I am from Pennsylvania. This is my first child

Due date? Either October 31 or November 5th (my birthday is Nov 6th ๐Ÿฅณ)

How did you find out? I had a blasting headache so I took a clear blue digital test and sure enough it was positive!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I have 2 dogs and a cat. My boyfriend is a pilot and also has a dog. I enjoy hiking, taking my dogs for a walk and my job.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I stopped taking my anxiety medication so it has been a struggle and an adjustment. I worry a lot about miscarriage. My first appointment is Tuesday 3/8. Not too many symptoms except a missed period and lots of bloating
  • Hi, Heather from Ohio here :)

    Due date 11/5

    How did you find out?
I got pregnant through IVF - 5 day embryo transfer on 2/17. I took a few home tests the past few days with positives and line progression but I had my HCG blood draw today which was the big confirmation I was waiting for (it came back 750 at 4wks 2days. Yay!)

    Tell us about yourself
I have two dogs, two cats, and a wonderful husband. I am a preschool speech therapist and we have been hoping to start a family for almost two years now. After a year of frustration, we sought an infertility evaluation and thanks to modern medicine and IVF we were able to get this far! We had our first frozen embryo transfer in December which resulted in a very early loss. Hoping this will be our rainbow!

    How are you feeling?
So tired and my emotions are completely out of whack although I know thatโ€™s probably the fertility drugs talking. Yesterday I was lightheaded/nauseous for the first time. Honestly I appreciate the symptoms for what they are because it helps me feel more secure that everything is going as it should. Pregnancy after infertility and loss is unfortunately full of constant fear and anxiety of what might go wrong.
I have a second beta hcg blood draw Wednesday to confirm itโ€™s rising like it should. My 6 week scan is March 14 then mid April around 10-12 weeks I will graduate from the fertility clinic back to my regular OB and stop my estrogen pills and progesterone injections. Let the countdown begin for when i donโ€™t have to set my alarm 10min earlier to shoot myself up with a 1.5 inch needle every day!!

Introduce yourself: hello! Ali here from Colorado but potentially moving to Norway in July. First baby! 33 years old. Been trying for 18 monthsโ€ฆ fertility tests in November checked out great.ย

    Due date? November 7

How did you find out? Home test after one day past missed period- convinced period was coming but tested mid morning after getting really dizzyย

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) husband & a cat, run my own design business, recreational athlete rock climbing, backcountry skiing and mountaineeringย

How are you feeling? (First appointment?ย Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I felt grossed out by a lot of food and bloated eating with change to appetite week leading up to missed period. And dizziness today.ย
  • Introduce yourself: Hi! Iโ€™m Ali. Iโ€™m 36 and live in NJ. This is our third baby and Iโ€™m very nervous/excited. (It comes in waves )

    Due date? November 7 (maybe)

    How did you find out?
I had been wanting to try for a third for a while and finally my husband agreed to give it one last try and see what happens. Three months later I started feeling off and then missed my period. I took a test yesterday but I already knew I was positive.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
We have a 7 year old (boy) and a 5 year old (girl) and I think the big age gap is going to be fun for them. Theyโ€™ll be helpful with the baby. I work as an event producer for business events. My husband and I like to have adventures with the kids so hope that keeps going with #3. I told him I want to take the whole family to Paris before my maternity leave is over.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Havenโ€™t had my appointment yet. Physically I am tired and nauseous but Iโ€™m getting by. Donโ€™t have much of an appetite which isnโ€™t like me. Emotionally a bit of a roller coaster. This is a big change. Itโ€™s been a while since I had a baby!
  • Hi! Iโ€™m Kimberly and I am a firefighter in VA. My husband is a police officer and this is our first child. Weโ€™ve been going through ART and with round 2 of IVF we got our positive! I am super nervous but also very excited. We have two spunky animals and love to travel!

    Due date? November 3rd

How did you find out? Bloodwork two weeks after our embryo transfer.

How are you feeling? NERVOUS is an understatement. Iโ€™m worried to even be acknowledging this yet. Still seeing our RE but will call and schedule with our OB next week. Only symptoms is fatigue and boy is it killer!
  • Hello! I'm Melody and I live in New Brunswick, Canada. Just confirmed pregnancy today. Due date will either be November 4 or November 6 (my doctor doesn't tend to take into account my shorter cycle so much).

This will be my 6th pregnancy, but I've only had 2 successful, with my son (3.5) and daughter (1.5). We've always known we wanted 3 so we've been trying since we got the all clear after our daughter was born, but my body didn't want to cooperate. We actually went to see the doctor a few weeks ago for infertility testing and apparently my body was like "I'll show you!" LOL

With my son I had cholestasis, and with my daughter I had borderline HG so it'll be interesting to see what this pregnancy brings. Between those and my losses I'm high risk so I'll be on progesterone for the first 12 weeks and aspirin/heparin until 36 weeks. I've just called my high risk doctor today and will be waiting to see what he says before I make an appointment with the maternity clinic.

My husband and I have been together for 16 years and he's an awesome dad. If this pregnancy is successful there will be 26 months between it and our daughter, which is the same as the time between our daughter and our son. We might be a little nuts!

  • Introduce yourself: Hi Iโ€™m Celeste and Iโ€™m 27 years old. My husband and I live in Texas with our 3 dogs. Iโ€™m a nurse that works at a rehab hospital. This is my first time being pregnant and Iโ€™m very excited!ย

    Due date?: 11/10

How did you find out?: My husband and I have been trying for about 3 months now so when I didnโ€™t get my period when I was supposed to I took a pregnancy test. The first one was barely visible, we figured it was because I drank a lot of water right before. Tried again later that night and this morning and both positive!ย

Tell us about yourself: My husband is in grad school getting his masterโ€™s in computer science. He graduates this summer.ย

How are you feeling?: My first appt isnโ€™t until April 6th and I feel so impatient. I want to tell everyone I know but Iโ€™m going to wait until after that appt. The only real symptoms I have are cramping and sore boobs. I really thought it was just my period about to start.ย

Iโ€™m so excited to be apart of this group and get to know all of you!ย
  • Introduce yourself:
Hello, my name is Ashley. I'm 30 years old and live in Wisconsin.

    Due date?
    11/5/22

    How did you find out?
We have been TTC since November '21. My cycle varies so I waited until I was 2 days late and then took a test. I had been under a ton of stress this month and didn't sense I was pregnant so it took 3 positive tests before I believed it.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I just got married in October, but we've been together almost a decade. We have one son, who is almost 9 (going to have a big age gap) and has been begging for a sibling since he was a toddler. He doesn't know yet, but I'm excited to tell him because he'll be overjoyed. I also just got hired into a new role at work, so I start my new job in 2 weeks that I've been working towards for 3 years! I love reading, puzzles and board games with my son, journaling, and trivia.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first appointment will be April 7th. I'm pretty tired (cutting back on coffee doesn't help either) and just a little bit of nausea. No major symptoms yet. Emotionally, I am over the moon. I'm excited and anxious, but overall just really happy. It's been a long time since my last pregnancy and the first was unplanned and stressful. I'm looking forward to this journey!

  • Due date? 11/2

How did you find out? We have been trying for 9 years, two harvests resulted in one embryo for transfer, implanted 2/12 and then scheduled blood test was positiveย

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 2 fur felines who rule our lives, I read, enjoy running my pure romamce business and working in the medical field, spouse works out of town but I get to spend time with him on weekends

How are you feeling? (First appointment?ย Any symptoms? Emotionally?)no symptoms, a little tired, trying to make it through the first trimester before I get too excited but not holding back this time. Schedule ultrasound at the fertility clinic is on the 11th. We had a prior miscarriage that was difficult because no one knew we were pregnant so this time Iโ€™m going to make sure ppl know.ย
  • Hi everyone, my name is Nina and I'm from Ontario, Canada!

My estimated due date is Nov 5.

We had been trying since October of last year. This is my second pregnancy, and I could tell by how my boobs felt, that something was different. I took an early pregnancy test 5 days before my expected period. It was a faint line, and I continued to test every other day, for 3 tests to see that the line was getting darker.

I'm 36, a part-time elementary school secretary, a lash artist and an arbonne consultant. I have a 4 year old daughter who has medical needs. Becoming a medical mama was a total surprise to me, upon giving birth to her, so this time around I'm somewhat nervous.
My husband and I have been together 10 years, we just got married last year! We also have 2 dogs, and are so happy to be growing our family!

Currently I'm experiencing light cramping, and total exhaustion. I've lost my appetite and have some nausea. I'm pretty bloated, and just feel heavier. Emotionally, I am easily tiggered by anything! I'll cry, get angry, lose my patience.... but then I'm really happy. I can't wait for my emotions to level out and feel more like myself again. My first appointment is March 28th.
  • Hi Everyone! ๐Ÿค— My name is Katrina and Iโ€™m from MA (not close to all these Cape Code moms though!)

Iโ€™m 37 and this is my first baby! My husband and I have been trying for the last 6 months. I had one chemical in November and now this baby is due in November โœจ We have 2 cats who are spoiled rotten, Link and Zelda, and who are our precious little ones. Iโ€™m currently studying to be a therapist and would love to focus on perinatal mental health once Iโ€™m licensed.

Due date? My EDD is November 5th, but my ovulation tracker was off in February so Iโ€™m looking forward to finding out more accurately at my first appointment.

How did you find out? I was really congested and my breasts were tender so I decided to take a test and was so excited to see it was positive!

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My first appointment isnโ€™t until the end of them month which seems like foreverrrrr! Iโ€™m feeling mostly tired, congested, very light cramping, and breast tenderness so far. Iโ€™m emotionally so excited and trying to be positive and not let my anxiety from my CP make me worried.

So nice to โ€œmeetโ€ you all and look forward to this journey together! ๐Ÿคฐ๐Ÿป

Hi everyone!! My name is Allison, I turn 25 on friday, and I live in Michigan. This is my second pregnancy (I previously had gotten pregnant while I had an IUD, but the fetus wasnโ€™t growing and I miscarried a couple days after finding out), but it is my first healthy pregnancy and it came as a surprise. My fiance and I just moved in together in January after 2 years of long distance (I moved away after 1 year together to a different state), so we were not expecting it to happen this fast.

I started my own business last year growing and selling fresh cut flowers, and this year Iโ€™m working under a local floral designer on top of running my own business again. My fiance runs his own tech support company.

My estimated due date is 11/2

I had a positive test on 2/24, 1 day after I missed my period. I think I already knew I was because I had broken out really badly, and I said โ€œlast time I broke out this badly, I was pregnant.โ€ Guess I was right!! Now, I have been experiencing tender breasts, cramping and just had some spotting today. Iโ€™m experiencing food aversion and a little nausea but nothing too bad. Iโ€™ve been crying more than Iโ€™ve ever cried in my life!!

Honestly, Iโ€™m scared. Iโ€™m scared my fiancรฉ and I arenโ€™t ready, Iโ€™m scared my business will fail, Iโ€™m scared our dreams of owning a house will stay that; a dream. Weโ€™ve been flip flopping, but I woke up this morning knowing I want this baby. My fiancรฉ isnโ€™t on the same boat yet, though. It makes me feel guilty. I donโ€™t even know if talking about this is allowed on this thread, but itโ€™s real and I could really use some support. How do you know if youโ€™re ready?
  • Hi everyone!! My name is Andie and Iโ€™m from Salt Lake City, UT - but Iโ€™m originally from Seattle! Shout out to the other PNW moms โ˜บ๏ธ my due date is November 12th - I found out pretty early because I had some implantation bleeding that happened WAY early! So I tested a few days later and got my BFP!

Iโ€™m 32 and this is my first child, but my second pregnancy. I had an ectopic pregnancy the first time around and am having a lot of anxiety this time around. The good news is that my numbers are looking good so far! Weโ€™re ready for this rainbow baby!

Other fun facts - we have 2 cats and we love hiking, camping, paddle boarding & general exploring!
  • Hi all! I'm Jen and pregnant for a second time, we have a 16 month old baby girl.

    Due date? November 6

How did you find out? Funny story -- tried something at work and had a strong allergic reaction (ref Will Smith in Hitch). Was told you can have more allergic reactions when your hormones are high so it made me wonder. Took a test and yup, I was pregnant.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I work in marketing, spend most of my time outside work with my husband and daughter who has just started walking and it's keeping me on my toes.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) It's really early so just hope everything is healthy and safe.
  • Introduce yourself:

Iโ€™m Avery, 33, married and in Texas.
We currently have a 5 year old son. We were told we would have to try medication after trying to get pregnant after 3 chemical pregnancies. But God had other plans for us and my first normal cycle with ovulation( no medication intervention) We are pregnant!!!!
    Due date?
    November 4th
    How did you find out?

  • Hi! Iโ€™m Paige and Iโ€™m from Saskatchewan, Canada. This is my first pregnancy and I am very nervous and excited!

Due date? Doctor estimated October 30 from my missed period but I have longer cycles so I think it will be around November 3 or 4

How did you find out? We have been trying for a few months and I finally had some symptoms (sore breasts) and tested positive at 11dpo. I was home alone dog sitting for my brother so I cried happy tears to the dog until my husband came home.

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a teacher and I live with my husband and my cat. I had a chemical pregnancy in December and this is the furthest along Iโ€™ve been! (5weeks)

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am a nervous and anxious wreck. I feel super tired during the day and am very bloated at night after supper. My husband has been so sweet and supportive which helps a lot. We plan on telling our parents and siblings next week!
  • Brittany I am also having an IVF baby โ˜บ๏ธ We transferred on Feb 16th. So only a few days behind you.ย
  • Hi there! Alissa from New Jersey :) I'm 34, this is our first pregnancy and I just am still not sure it's actually real yet? haha. We've been TTC since December, We had a chemical in January - and quite honestly weren't expecting to get pregnant this quickly after! Found out yesterday with a blaringly positive test...and am still a little nervous to get excited but I can't help it!!

    Due date? November 7ish

How did you find out? My face was feeling hot for a few days, and I noticed I had a weird soreness in my hamstrings. Went to stand up on the day my period was due and I got super dizzy. Decided to take a test and boom, there she goes!

Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I work in Marketing and my husband works in IT - we have a senior pup named Louie, he's a 12 year old Maltese...grumpy little guy but he's my sidekick. We love to travel, outdoor adventures and cookin' up some serious BBQ.

How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Made my first appointment for March 31 - I feel like it's SO FAR away but I'm so excited. Very nervous to tell people ahead of that appointment but I have some cute ideas for a tshirt to tell our parents on St Patrick's Day LOL. Symptom wise, my cramps have gone away for the most part, starting to feel slightly nauseous but nothing too crazy yet. Also feeling hungry!!
Excited to "meet" you all - can't wait to read about our adventures in the coming months!
